Chapter 285 – You must have a plan

Last night, Jack made a call after confirming with his wife how they wanted to get the money. They instantly called Lucas on the phone.

Lucas was having an argument with his wife because of their inability to conceive when his phone rang.

He quickly answered it. “Hello, who is this?”

“Lucas, this is Jack. I’m sorry to call you this late,” the familiar voice sounded over the line. Lucas was curious as he glared at his wife, who was still trying to process all the nasty things her husband had just told her.

Having pinned all the blame on her when he refused to accompany her to the hospital to check what was wrong with them, her thoughts were too occupied to care about who was calling her husband at this late hour.

“You wouldn’t call me at this time if it wasn’t important.” Lucas sat on the large bed, but there was a gap between him and his wife, who was coiled on the bed with her back turned to him.

“That is true, but it’s about your brother, Ezrah,” Jack said, piquing Lucas’s interest.
