Chapter 205 - I'm not begging you to be lenient

Ezrah faintly guessed what Rush wanted but was not willing to agree to it.

“Rush, I would not have thought of pressing charges if you had attacked me, but rather, you targeted Zora.”

“No. I paid Piper to take you down, and she changed the plan,” Rush confessed.

Ezrah smiled bitterly, understanding why Piper would go against Michelle, but it was still Rush’s fault for contracting her.

“I will find her, but this is not over. Don’t blame me for what’s coming next. You are just lucky that I arrived in time to take the stab, but if it had been Michelle, you and Piper would have been dead by now,” Ezrah said between gritted teeth.

Indeed, if Michelle had been injured and ended up at the hospital, he would have done as told before she even regained consciousness.

But if she had lost her life, then Rush and Piper’s families would have been dragged to hell.
