Chapter 08: Family

Taylor sat in front of the place where her mom had been laid to rest. Her eyes were really swollen and she held some white roses in her hands.

"Mom? Do you think I did the right thing? You're proud of my decision right? I did it because I promised you I'd be fine before you left. It still hurts and I feel like I'm being stabbed in the heart right now. What does true love feel like? How does it feel to be loved by someone you really love and would give your all to, mom? I have absolutely no one to answer this question and that is why I wish you were here."

Taylor squatted and dropped the flowers on her mother's grave.

"I miss you so much. I want to be happy again, but I don't think I can. I've worked so hard, and yet I failed to keep my marriage. I know he never loved me, but everyday, I hoped he would for even a second."
