Nadia wondered why she was always thrust into these kinds of situations. There should be some warning signs she could put up front for people to take into consideration.

Her people skills can only take her this far in her professional environment. She was born a shut-in, a nerd with an introverted personality who just happened to have enough money in her childhood to be able to live without having to put up with other people and their social bullsh*t.

Her tolerance can only take her this far and she was reaching her limits. No one should be subjected to this much attention when they hate socializing as much as she does.

“You know that you actually need to smile when you greet people…” Dean trailed off as he leaned toward her.

Nadia resisted the urge to pinch him in the arm which she was holding but decided against it knowing that there there was a slight possibility that she was being a grumpy bit** and that Dean was right.

“This is as far as my social lever can take me. My health

“Hi, Nadia. It’s been a long time,” Nadia knew that this moment would come eventually, she had prepared herself for it and even imagined the situation more than once wondering what her reaction would be like. No, to be exact, she imagined what she would do and say in this situation. But all her preparations failed to make her ready for how she felt when she met him again. Her mouth remained tightly shut and her limps rooted and frozen to their spot. Her brain was working at lightning speed. While she was burning inside with hundreds, no thousands of things she wanted to tell this man, none of them came to her mind then. The only thing she felt was disgust, extreme disgust, and a burning urge to see that smiling fake face dragged through the mud. “Ah… You’re looking at me as if we’re strangers…” He said with an awkward laugh, “That’s because that’s exactly what we are,” She finally found the strength to answer. “Nadia…” He said in a dismayed tone that made her stomach churn i

  • The CEO's Assistant is a Billionaire Hacker   You Know He's Mine...

Flashback (Five years ago) Nadia’s head snapped to the side as she felt the impact of a slap against her cheek. Taking a deep breath, she looked up at her father who was glaring down at her venom in his eyes. Behind him, Kate stood smirking as she held the white triangular stick, looking at it with triumph as if it was a prize far better than she had expected. “Can’t you do one thing right?! How can you do this to us at such a critical time!” Her father ranted. “I could overlook your troublemaking through high school and even the hacking incident at your college since Kate was always there covering for you,” Covering for her… what a joke. All those incidents were things that Kate had initiated. But Nadia was always the one who took the fall… “But this time, you had to go and get pregnant from a man you didn’t even know?! What in the world am I going to tell Mark?! How am I going to face people when they learn about this?!” Nadia remained silent as she listened to him yelling. P

Dean stood at the door waiting until his father opened it looking at him strangely. “Why didn’t you come in, you have the keys,” He said. Dean looked at his father intently for a few moments before speaking. “I forgot them. Is mom home?” He asked. “No, she went out with Luke and Mrs Payne for a shopping trip,” his father answered and Dean sighed. “Is something the matter?” He asked again and Dean shook his head. “No, I had something to ask her. But since you’re here I will have to check with you since I don’t want to leave Nadia alone for too long,” He declared. Seeing his serious expression his father stepped back inviting him in. “Did something happen?” His father asked again calmly. “You could say that,” Dean said his anger still boiling from remembering Nadia’s state last night. She had yet to wake up since last night and she had been having alarming nightmares all night to the point of Dean having to call a doctor in the middle of the night who gave her some sedatives.

  • The CEO's Assistant is a Billionaire Hacker   A Close Call

When Nadia opened her eyes, her mind was as clear as a blank piece of paper. Everything seemed clear and refreshing. Even the dark thoughts swirling in her mind were clear, they were precise decisive, and ready for her to work out. Dean was nowhere to be seen. She could still remember snips from last night. She had been unconsolable and out of her mind, and he had been by her side through it all. Whenever she opened her eyes and no matter what state she was in, he was always sitting next to her. Helping her, and comforting her. She smiled at the surprisingly heartwarming memory. He was such a nice man if only she had met him back then… Stopping that train of thought she got out of bed, took a shower, and made her way into her office immediately opening the door to her secret door. It had been a while since she had been in there. The screens before her gleamed activating upon one touch of her fingers, and just like that, Nadia was sucked into her work. It took her mere minutes to ac

Five years ago “Hey there! It’s been a while!” Kate said as she came up to sit in front of Nadia with a bright smile looking like the perfect businesswoman in her designer suit. “Hi! It sure has been,” Nadia answered smiling at her cousin as she sipped from her juice and looked around the hotel rooftop. “I can’t believe how busy I have been since I decided to take over for your father at the company,” She complained. “You’re doing fine. I can clearly see that you’re more cut out for business than I am ever going to be,” She reassured her, “Still, I feel a little bad about taking a position that should have been yours from the start…” She said giving Nadia a guilty look. “I keep telling you not to worry about that. My father and I will never see eye to eye. Not to mention that Mark and I are too busy getting our own company ready. I’m more suited to coding behind a computer than handling office work, so things worked out perfectly for us,” She told her and Kate smiled brightly at

“There should be a limit to how extravagant this is going to get…” Nadia said feeling a headache on the making as she stared at her tablet. “With my mother, I don’t think that the word Limit and parties can even be put together in the same sentence,” Dean answered as he leaned back on his desk staring at his laptop with a wry smile. “This is a freaking Ice statue! I haven’t seen one since the last grand winter gala last year. And that’s the biggest event of the year in Starlington City,” Nadia complained and Dean sighed. They were currently in Dean’s office trying to catch up on the work they hadn’t been able to do thanks to this fiasco. But as soon as they were on lunch break, they got an email from his mother with the details of the engagement party she had decided to throw for them, and singlehandedly was preparing on her own… “I don’t have the willpower or the energy to try to stop her,” Dean said, “Why don’t we let her do whatever she wants to do?” Nadia furiously flipped thr

  • The CEO's Assistant is a Billionaire Hacker   Leilah's Reaction

Nadia’s mind was a mess after the short conversation with Leilah. She stood there for a few long moments thinking about what she said. Leilah was their PR specialist, and one of the best in the company too. The way she handles tricky situations leaves nothing to be desired which is why they were able to safely handle the scandal from both inside the company and outside of it. The way she explained it made it clear to everyone that they were a couple capable of separating work and private matters, and the employees seemed to mostly accept their relationship without much negativity. Of course, it was still hard to deal with the bitter ones who had their eyes set on Dean. But that was something she’d had to deal with before and it was nothing much to complain about. But, in Leilah’s case, she asked for complete transparency. Nadia told her what she could but there were still truths she couldn’t bring herself to talk about to anyone. Like her revenge and her alter ego, WhiteFlowe. Th

I can’t bweath!” Luke complained then started giggling when she gave him butterfly kisses. “Okay, that’s enough. We’re in public. They’re going to take you for a pervert,” Nadia said and Leilah pulled away with a smile. “I don’t really care. I mean, look at the healing power of this little face,” She added pulling Luke’s cheeks as he patiently waited for Leilah to be done fawning over him. He was so used to her that he would just wait for the greeting phase to cool down. It was funny how the more composed one is the five year old and not the thirty-something businesswoman, “Aunty Leilah! If you still want to cuddle, we can sit together as we wait for Mommy to wear her dress,” Luke said eliciting another swoon worthy reaction from Leilah. After a few more moments, she carried Luke around on high heels. Somet

As they approached the open door, Dean's heart raced with a mix of fear and determination. Agents ahead of him cautiously entered the room, assessing the situation. Dean said gritting his teeth as he struggled against the agents that were holding his hands back. How had he not seen this?"Wait a minute, What are you talking about?" Miller asked looking at him with a frown."You're acting like nothing is wrong, then why are you standing at the door of our apartment building stopping me from getting inside? Standing before the hole in the ground, Nadia was filled with so many thoughts and feelings. One of them was that she was probably a hypocrite standing there wearing black and listening intently to the prayers of a man who knew nothing.Another thought is that... Well... It was sunny. Nadia always had this conception that it never was sunny on funerals, it was always raining or gloomily grey. But no, it wasn't, it was sunny, and flowers were blooming around while butterflies were mating. Burds chirping and most of all... it was warm and pleasant. To sum it up, it was the weather that destroyed her conception of funerals...Nadia watched silently as they started lowering the coffin to the ground. The coffin was made from dark wood. One Kate would have hated. And decorated with white spider lilies. Kate hated white. She always said it wasn't a color. Although she would conveniently wear it whenever she felt like the situation would require from her to add a flare of innocence. Mainly w
