“Do you really think that I’m the one giving her a chance?” Annalita asked secretively.

Miranda was even more confused.

Annalita sighed. “Mimi, your brother’s the one who’s trying to give her a chance here. Can’t you see? She’s already cheated on him countless times, and he’s still so in love with her. That means he still can’t let Carlie go. He’ll hate me if I force them into a breakup,”

Miranda finally understood. “But… She betrayed my brother. She has such poor judgment, and the entire city is laughing at my brother for marrying her. Are we supposed to just let this go?”

“Didn’t Carlie say that she was framed? Your brother will uncover the truth. By then, obviously, it’d be best if she really was framed. But if she’s lying to us, your brother will let her go.”
