He was dressed in a pristine, black suit that looked brand new. He did not have a single hair out of place, like a flawless, perfectly cut diamond.

His perfect, sculpted face showed no emotion, as usual. However, Charlotte was overjoyed by the sight of him. All of her worries seemed to disintegrate in an instant.

The flawless, regal Zachary spoke in an expressionless tone through his thin lips.

“I had a lot of time to think since you’ve left. Nothing happened between you and Garrison. You don’t have to take that contraceptive.”

Charlotte immediately felt as if she had been stuffed into a refrigerator. The joy in her heart seemed to completely wash away when she returned to her senses and turned into a wave of self-mockery.
