Julia's heart stopped. Who knew? And how much did they know?
She felt a presence behind her and turn around, but there was no one there.
"Echo," she whispered, her voice trembling.
But Echo was nowhere to be found.
And then, her phone rang…
Julia's heart raced as she answered the phone. "Hello?"
"Julia, we need to talk," a low, gravelly voice said.
"Who is this?" Julia demanded, trying to keep her voice steady.
"Someone who knows your secret," the voice replied. "Meet me in the parking garage at midnight if you want to keep your reputation intact."
The line went dead, and Julia was left staring at her phone in shock.
What did this person want? And how much did they know about her and Echo?
She tried to focus on her work, but her mind kept wandering back to the mysterious caller.
At midnight, Julia made her way to the parking garage, her heart pounding in her chest.
A figure emerged from the shadows, their face obscured by a hoodie.
"Who are you?" Julia demanded.
The figure stepped forward, revealing a shocking identity...
Julia's eyes locked onto Marcus, her mind racing with memories of their previous encounter. "What do you want, Marcus?" she spat, her voice firm.
Marcus smiled smurgy, his eyes glinting with malice. "You think you won, Julia? You think you can outsmart me? But I have something new, something that will finally bring you down."
Julia's heart skipped a beat. What could Marcus possibly have?
"I'm not afraid of you, Marcus," she lied, trying to keep cool in Marcus eye..
Marcus chuckled. "We'll see about that. You see, I've been digging into Echo's past... and I found something interesting."
Julia's heart sank. What had Marcus discovered?
"Echo is not who he says he is," Marcus taunted. "And when the truth comes out, you'll be the one who falls."
Julia's mind swayed. What secrets was Echo hiding? And how could she protect him?
"Leave now, Marcus," Julia warned, her voice firm. "Before I call security."
Marcus laughed, backing away into the shadows. "This isn't over, Julia. Not by a long shot."
And with that, he vanished, leaving Julia wondering what secrets Echo was hiding... and how she could protect their love from Marcus's sinister plans.
Julia's mind raced as she tried to process Marcus's words. What secrets was Echo hiding? And how could she protect him?
She quickly made her way to Echo's office, her heart pounding in her chest.
"Echo, we need to talk," she said, closing the door behind her.
Echo looked up from his computer, a concerned expression on his face. "What's wrong, Julia?"
"Marcus knows something about your past," Julia said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Something that could ruin everything."
Echo's expression changed, a hint of fear creeping into his eyes.
"What does he know?" Echo asked, his voice tight.
Julia shook her head. "I don't know, but we need to find out. We can't let Marcus use this against us."
Echo nodded, his jaw clenched. "I'll take care of it, Julia. I promise."
But Julia could see the doubt in his eyes. What was Echo hiding? And how could she trust him?
As they left the office together, Julia couldn't shake off the feeling that their love was on shaky ground. And Marcus was just waiting for the perfect moment to strike…
That night, Julia couldn't sleep, her mind racing with questions. What was Echo hiding? And how could she protect him?
She tossed and turned, her thoughts consumed by the fear of losing everything she had worked for.
Just as she was starting to drift off, her phone buzzed. A text from an unknown number.
"Meet me at the old warehouse at 2pm. Come alone."
Julia's heart skipped a beat. Who was this? And what did they want?
But something about the message resonated with her. She had to know what was going on.
At 2pm, Julia made her way to the warehouse though it's very dark she was eager to know the truth, her heart pounding in her chest.
As she entered the dimly lit building, she saw a figure waiting for her.
"Who are you?" Julia demanded.
The figure stepped forward, revealing unknown identity...
The figure stepped forward, revealing a woman at her young age, with piercing green eyes and long, curly brown hair.
"Who are you?" Julia repeated, her mind racing with questions.
"My name is Sophia," the woman replied, her voice husky. "And I'm Echo's sister."
Julia's eyes widened in shock. Asking her to get to the point…even though Echo never told her he has a sister…
"What do you want?" Julia asked, trying to keep her cool.
Sophia in panic, feeling scared "I want to tell you the truth about Echo's past. The truth he's been hiding from you."
Julia's heart skipped a beat. What secrets was Echo keeping from me?
"Go on," Julia said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Sophia took a deep breath. "Echo wasn't always who he is today. He had a different name, a different life. And he's been running from his past for years."
Julia's mind reeled. What did Echo hid from her..that involves his past?
"Why are you telling me this?" Julia asked, her eyes locked on Sophia's.
Sophia panic even more as it was her first time talking to Julia, with a bold face she replied Julia "Because, you have the power to save Echo or destroy him."
And with that, Sophia in panic turned and disappeared into the night, leaving Julia with more questions than answers...
Julia's mind was racing with questions. What had Echo done in his past? And how could she save him?
She couldn't shake off the feeling that Sophia's words had left her with. She needed to know the truth.
As she walked back to her car, she noticed a piece of paper on the windshield. A note, written in hasty handwriting.
"Meet me at the coffee shop on 5th floor,Come alone.
Julia's heart skipped a beat. Sophia again.
But this time, Julia was ready. She would confront Sophia and demand the truth about Echo's past.
Julia immediately went up to the coffee shop 5th floor, her eyes scanning the room for Sophia.
And then, she saw her. Standing at a corner of the building.
Julia approached her, her heart pounding in her chest.
"Sophia, what do you want?" Julia demanded.
Sophia feeling a bit guilty about revealing her brother's past life, but she knew it will do him more good than harm since Julia is in love with Echo."I want to show you something.
And with that, Sophia pulled out a folder full of documents and photographs.
Julia's eyes widened as she scanned the contents.
It was Echo's past. The secrets he had been hiding.
And it was worse than Julia could have ever imagined..
Julia's eyes scanned the documents, her mind swaying with the implications. Echo had been involved in some shady dealings, and it seemed that's why he has being running from his past..But why? And how could he keep this from her?Sophia tip in,her voice barely above a whisper. "Echo's in danger, Julia. And if it becomes serious you might be involve.Julia's heart skipped a beat. "What do you mean?"Sophia's eyes darted around the coffee shop, as if she feared being overheard. "There are people looking for Echo. People who will stop at nothing to get what they want”, they are writing all the wrong doings in Echo's name…Julia's grip on the folder tightened. "What do they want?"Sophia's smile was grim,"They want Echo to suffer which l still don't get why l don't know who they are..l also don't have the details. And they'll do whatever it takes to get to him…Julia felt a chill run down her spine. She had to protect Echo, no matter what. But as she looked at Sophia, she wondered if sh

As they sat down for dinner, Julia's father asked her about work."It's going well," Julia said, trying to keep her answers brief. But her brother, Alex, wasn't having it. "Come on, Julia, spill the beans," he said, grinning mischievously. "What's really going on in your life?"Julia felt a panic rise up inside her. She couldn't tell them about Echo, not yet."Nothing, Alex," she said, trying to brush him off. "Just work and stuff."But Alex wasn't convinced. "I know there's something going on, Julia," he said, his eyes narrowing. "You've been distant for years. What's going on?"Julia felt a lump form in her throat. She didn't know how much longer she could keep her secret hidden...As they finished dinner, Julia's mother, Karen, turned to her with a curious expression."Julia, sweetie, can I ask you something?" she said, her voice gentle."Of course, Mom," Julia replied, feeling a sense of fear."What's going on with your love life?" Karen asked, her eyes sparkling with interest. "
The next morning, Julia woke up to the sound of her mom calling her for breakfast. She got dressed and headed downstairs, feeling a mix of emotions. She was happy to be with her family, but she couldn't shake off the feeling that she was living a double life. As she sat down at the table, Alex gave her a curious look. "Hey, sis, you okay? You seem a bit distracted." Julia forced a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a bit tired." Her mom chimed in, "Well, you can sleep in tomorrow. Today, we're going to have a family day out!" Julia's heart sank. She had promised Echo she would meet up with him today. But before she could come up with an excuse, Alex spoke up. "Actually, mom, I was thinking Julia and I could hang out on our own today. We haven't spent much time together lately." Julia's eyes widened in surprise. What was Alex up to! Julia's mom smiled, "That's a great idea, Alex! You two can spend some quality time together. Julia, you can't decline, you already agreed to stay over!"
After James hung up the phone, he was in high spirits, eagerly preparing for the next day's dinner. He spent the rest of the day arranging everything to perfection, from the flowers to the dessert. He even went shopping, buying thoughtful gifts for Julia, her parents, and her brother Alex. As he wrapped the presents, he couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and hope.On the other hand, Julia was trying to shake off the anxiety that had been building up inside her. She had been dreading the dinner all day, and the thought of spending an entire evening with James was still unsettling. She tried to focus on her work, but her mind kept wandering back to the dinner and all the potential awkwardness that could ensue.Despite her efforts to concentrate, Julia found herself constantly checking the clock, willing the hands to move faster. She was desperate to get the dinner over with and return to her normal routine. Little did she know, James was doing the exact opposite - eagerly coun

As she waited for the coffee to brew, she began scrolling through her phone, catching up on any missed notifications. Her eyes widened in surprise as she saw multiple missed calls from Echo. "Oh no, I totally forgot to text him!" Julia exclaimed, hitting her forehead in realization. She had been so exhausted the night before that she had gone straight to sleep without responding to Echo's messages.Julia quickly grabbed her coffee and sat down at the table, feeling a bit guilty for ignoring Echo's attempts to reach her. She took a sip of her coffee and began typing out a message to Echo, apologizing for her oversight."Hey Echo, I'm so sorry I didn't respond last night. I was completely exhausted and went straight to sleep. Just saw your missed calls and messages. I know you missed me so much, sorry love" Julia sent the message and w
As Gina and Julia were joyfully enjoying their drinks, Gina glanced at her watch and suddenly remembered her pressing business commitments. "Julia, I'm so sorry, but I have to run. I have to prepare for my meetings tomorrow and I still have a lot to do."Julia nodded understandingly, "Of course, I completely understand. You have to do what you came to do."Gina smiled, "I'll be busy tomorrow, but let's catch up again before I leave town, okay?"Julia agreed, "Absolutely, I'd love that."With that, Gina quickly finished her drink, hugged Julia goodbye, and rushed out of the coffee shop. Julia watched her go, feeling a bit wistful that their conversation had been cut short. After Gina left, Julia checked the time and realized that the meeting she had been worried about earlier, the time had already exhausted. She shrugged, deciding to just sit back and enjoy her drink. She took a sip, savoring the flavor and the quiet moment to herself. As Julia was still sitting in the coffee shop, sip
As Echo left Julia's office, she sat at her desk, going through files about the upgrades she had discussed with her father. But as she delved deeper into the documents, she stumbled upon a file that made her heart skip a beat. It was about the innovation of the development and research center, a topic she had been meaning to discuss with her father but had forgotten in the midst of their personal conversation."Oh shit," Julia muttered to herself, realizing her mistake. She had been so caught up in covering up her personal life that she had neglected to discuss something important. But Julia knew it wasn't too late. She decided to bring it up with the board of directors and later discuss it with her father at the dinner on Saturday."I'll make sure to prioritize this," Julia said to herself, making a mental note to add it to the agenda. With renewed focus, Julia dove back into the files, her mind racing with ideas and strategies for the development and research center. Can we talk for a moment?”After Julia accepted Alexander's invitation to talk, they walked to a nearby café, enjoying the warm sunshine and gentle breeze. They found a cozy table by the window and perused the menu, chatting lightly about their days.Once they placed their orders, James turned serious, his eyes locking onto Julia's. “Julia, I wanted to apologize for the way I walked out the other day. I was completely out of line, and I'm so sorry if I hurt or offended you."Julia's expression softened, understanding in her eyes. "No problem James. I understand you were busy, and I appreciate your apology. Let's just forget about it, okay?"James's face relaxed, relief washing over him. "Thanks, Julia. That means a lot to me. I promise to be more mindful in the future."Their drinks arrived, and they sipped their lattes, the tension dissipating. Julia s

"And how are you handling the recent issue with the product recall?"Julia took a deep breath and filled him in on the details, explaining the steps she had taken to address the problem. Her father listened intently, his expression serious."I'm proud of you, Julia," he said when she finished. "You're handling it well. I know it can't be easy, but you're showing great leadership."Julia smiled, feeling a sense of relief and gratitude for her father's support. "Thanks, Dad. James sat in his car, his head in his hands, berating himself for behaving childishly in front of Julia. "What is wrong with you, James?" he muttered to himself. "You're a grown man, for crying out loud! Stop acting like a lovesick teenager!"He slammed his fists on the steering wheel, frustrated with himself for letting his emotions get the better of him. He hadn't been sure that Julia felt the same way, but now he was starting to doubt himself.Just then, his phone buzzed. It was a text from Julia.
