"Marcus Trump card"

Echo's voice was barely above a whisper. "They have faked an evidence against me”…l never had anything with Juliet's death,Julia believe me. Echo said to Julia..

Julia was confused about what to do…he never knew about this case…

 Part of Julia wanted to believe Echo, to trust him. But another part of her was screaming to get away from him.

Suddenly, the police burst into the office, handcuffs at the ready.

"Echo, you're under arrest for the murder of your wife Mrs. Juliet..."

Just then Julia paused the Officer, you can't just arrest him without a warrant…l request you to remove the handcuffs..

But the officer replied “No ma'am we have a warrant which was fired from your company…we must take action to avoid trouble”. Please don't stop us from doing our work..

Julia had no choice but to let them go with Echo promising him..she will come for her…”l shouldn't let my emotions control me..i can't get fully in this case otherwise my biggest fear will hunt me down” Julia said to herself…

As she watched him being led away in handcuffs.

She knew she had to act fast, to prove Echo's innocence. But where could she even start?

As she left Echo's office heading to her office, she ran into Marcus in the hallway.

"Julia, I told you he was guilty," Marcus sneered. Handing over the company to me might do you good!!! Marcus shrugged...

But Julia wasn't having it. "You're just trying to cover your own tracks, Marcus. I won't let you get away with this." Side of Julia was telling her Marcus is involved.

Marcus's smile faltered for a moment, before he regained his composure.

"We'll see about that," he said, before walking away.

As she headed inside her office..She took up her phone..Dialed her lawyer's number asking him to move to the station and take care of Echo..as she knew she couldn't get herself involved…

She made another phone call…calling up to her private investigator who she has been working with for years…”please l need you urgently right now meet me at my office”. 

She said hang up the phone..

Few minutes later Jack, her private investigator, stumbled into her office.. “What happened, why did you call so urgently," Jack said with his eyes fixed on Julia's eye.

“Echo is in trouble” Julia said to Jack..what happened why didn't you tell me about Echo's late wife i thought i asked you to investigate thoroughly about him,Julia said with her face looking pale…it was clear she is already stressed..

“Am sorry julia” i had no choice,l didn't want you to feel heartbroken about him being married i decided to hide it away from you because it wasn't important since his wife has already passed away..Jack said feeling sorry.

It's ok Jack..this is not the time for this..l need you to investigate this case, l want him out from  there you know well why l can't get involved..Julia said tears flowing down her cheeks

Am sorry for the stress Julia..l will get to work right now..give me a some time...Jack said and left immediately.

Julia sat on her seat, waiting eagerly for Jack to give her a response..

It has been said that Echo had to sleep over the station,there was no solid response from Jack..Julia was heartbroken, she couldn't even go and see him she was afraid of people questioning her relationship with him…

At night Julia couldn't sleep..she was restless walking up and down..still waiting to hear from Jack..he is the only one who could help her out..

Echo led down thinking about Julia and why she hasn't visited him yet..side of him was telling him she has given up on him..he was stressed and angry at himself for not being able to defend himself…

Early in the morning Julia drove immediately to Jack's office,”hello” Jack what's up!!. I haven't heard from you..l have been stranded, l was restless so i decided to come to you instead…have you found anything yet?.. Julia said with seriousness written all over her face…

Jack walked up to her.. please come inside Jack said to her, “yes” i actually found something interesting about Marcus l decided to investigate him first.

Jack leaned forward. "A suspicious transaction on Marcus's bank statement. It looks like he paid off the witness who testified against Echo."

Julia's eyes widened in shock. "That's a deceitful act!!

Jack nodded. "I think Marcus is trying to frame Echo for Juliet’s murder."

Julia's mind was racing. She knew she had to act fast, to clear Echo's name and bring Echo to justice.

But as she stood up to leave, Jack stopped her.

"Julia, there's something else. Something big."

"What is it?" Julia asked, her heart pounding in her chest.

Jack's face was grim. "I think Juliet’s murder case is just a tip-off... I think there's a larger conspiracy at play,there are many things hidden that I couldn't find out about Echo..

“Well we will get to the button of this” you have to find a way and release Echo from the cell, meanwhile i will pay a visit to Marcus. Julia said and zoomed off..

Jack had to investigate Marcus's alibi for the time of Juliet' murder. He needed solid evidence in order to help Echo…

As Julia stormed into Marcus's office, she found him smirking at her.

"You'll never take me down, Julia," he sneered.

But Julia was not intimidated. “What will you gain from falsely accusing Echo?? Julia questioned.

Marcus paused for a while and spoke out, “ it actually gives me joy to see you in pain”…and for Echo and me don't interfere between us..

Julia knew she wouldn't get anything out from him…she left his office with a look of disappointment.

A thought of firing Marcus came to her mind..but she remembered she can't fire him…fearing that Marcus will let her secret out…

With that Julia went back to her office, waiting patiently for Jack's feedback…
