CH006

An unknown number had called her and told her to come outside before the call went off.

She glanced at the clock on the wall of her room, and she still had forth five minutes before she'd begin preparing for her next part time work.

She picked her purse and began to walk out of the room.

On reaching outside the gates of her house, she saw a car parked at the front of it. The car was not belonging in her Street and it was very obvious because the neighborhood children had all gathered admiring the car and chattering yo themselves how they would buy one like it when they'd become adults and successful.

A young man was standing by the side of the door waiting for her to come, as she stepped closer to where the car was, he opened the front seat for her to enter before he went back to reenter the car, which he appeared to be the driver of.

She wondered what it's use had been for when she had her own hands to open the car with.

The familiar scent that filled her nostrils needed no telling that it was the arrogant son who sat at the back of the car.

"I've decided to marry you. Well, that decision only came after my mother went on her knees to beg me to" be began, lying, as though his interest about her had not being piqued when she had accepted his mother's proposal of marriage, even though he had finished insulting her at the restaurant.

"I called you out here so I'd discuss the rules of the marriage with you. Wanted to send it to you as a message but thought it would be better to do so face to face, especially with my mother who would lash at me if she were to find out" he continued, lying again about his reasons even though he had come to her place because he had wanted to see her.

She was beautiful, and he himself couldn't deny it.

Andrea nodded, steeling herself for the conversation.

"Face me, I want to be seeing your reactions while I read the rules out to you. I love me a submissive wife" his voice intoned.

Andrea turned from the front chair she was at and bent over, looking at him even though she felt uncomfortable in the position.

He could have had her sit at the back with him if he wanted to converse with her while stealing glances at her pretty face. She thought.

But she remained in the same position, trying her best not to move.

Her financial status was currently in a dilemma with bills and more piling up, he was going to be the Messiah to save her from them. She hadn't want to before, she hadn't want to run to a man with her burdens but after he had broke shamed her and her background, it wouldn't hurt to level herself up afterall, he had called her a good digger, branding her a new identity.

Niklas took a deep breath before beginning. "First, this marriage is a business arrangement. We're doing this for our families, so let's keep personal feelings out of it. We will appear as a united front in public, but our private lives remain separate"

Andrea listened intently, her face impassive. "I understand."

"I don't want you keeping females by your side. They're mostly bad influences. I can tell from experience. After we get married, I'd give you a week to leave your job and you'd become my house wife. I do not want your personal life to interfere with our public image, especially mine" he continued, hiding exactly what he had wanted to say to her because his mother had warned him not to talk down on her.

"My parents expect us to act like a normal couple, so we'll have to attend events together and maintain appearances." He added.

"Fine," Andrea replied. "What else?"

"Are you already in love with me?" He asked her and she immediately shifted from the soave she was resting on, while staring at him, like he had wanted. He loved him a submissive wife that stared at him while he talked....

" Of course not, why would I be?"

Niklas hesitated, then added, "There will be no romantic expectations from either side. This is purely a partnership. If you need anything, financially or otherwise, you can ask, but keep in mind that I have a goal to achieve and that's why I'm marrying you,but well that's none of your business"

" Is that all?" She chirped in.

" For now yes, would let you know once any new rule comes up" he replied. " Do you have anything to say?" He added.

"Just one. Don't fall inlove with me either. I heard you travel alot. I wouldn't want to give birth to a child for a father that might abandon him and travel" she said and he let out a chuckle.

" Why would I fall for you? A baby? Don't get ahead of yourself. We're in for just the marriage, there are no babies involved" he said nonchalantly.

" I have a girlfriend, I'd go back to her once she returns. Till then, you'd have your freedom back" he added and she looked at him.

Perhaps that was why he had gotten himself drunk to stupor. Men. She thought.
