Three weeks later,
Olivia came back from work, she hurried into her mom's ward. She got a call from one of the nurses that her mom's illness was acting up again, then she had to round up her shift and hurried back to the hospital. Her eyes widened in shock, when she couldn't find her mom in the ward. Her heart raced wildly as she thought of all possible things that could happen to her mother. She came out of the ward, about to head to the doctor's office when she bumped into one of the nurses. “I'm so so sorry ma'am” her apologetic voice came out in a haggard pants. “You're Mrs Winter's daughter ?” The nurse asked softly. “Yes! Yes! She's my mother. What happened to her ? She nodded, her eyes ajar as she stared at the nurse. “Follow me then…” The nurse turned around and went ahead, while Olivia followed suit. Doctor's office, Olivia could feel her body fridgetting from curiosity and anxiousness. Her eyes were fixed wildly at the doctor as he sat down. The young man took a deep breath, then raised his face to meet Olivia's curious gaze. “I'm sorry, I've tried everything possible to make sure your mother remains stable till the day she will be operated on, but her condition is the worst. We'll have to arrange for her operation in two days. Do you have the money ready?” He asked after explaining. Olivia's heart sank, with the mention of the money. She hasn't even saved up to half of the money. She clenched her fists tightly under the table, her nails sinking into her flesh. “I-i-i will get the money ready before then. Please doctor I don't want anything to happen to my mom, she's all I have, please doctor” Olivia sobbed as she grabbed the doctor's hands, begging him. “I've been considerate all these while, your mother's life is in your hands. I can't do more than that” He shook his head, slightly releasing his hands from hers. “What of your father ?” The doctor suddenly asked. “My mother is my mother as well as my father. I-i-i don't have a father” she swallowed hard after replying to the doctor. “I'm sorry, but keep trying. I can't promise, but I'll make sure your mom doesn't die, okay” he said and squeezed her hands. Olivia nodded, wiping away the tears that rolled down her cheeks. Olivia's heart was heavy as she left the doctor's office. She couldn't imagine losing her mom after her father disowned them. If only she had powers to make things go as she wants them to. Uncontrollable tears rolled down her cheeks as she walked through the crowd not knowing where she was going. She needed someone to comfort her, but that person could only be her mother. “Mom please be fine for me” she mumbled in between tears. After walking for a long time, she found herself in a familiar environment, it was very familiar. Wait…what ?! Why must it be here, of all places?. Olivia paused in her steps, staring at the house at the far end of the Street. Her eyes stung more with pain, tears forcing their way out. “Would father regret his decision, if he sees me ? Would he help Mom out if I told him the conditions ? What would father do if he saw me like this ?” Tropes of questions popped into her head, but how was she going to answer them? Olivia tried to turn around and leave, but her foot seemed not to be carrying out their work at that moment. It was like they were being controlled by another body, instead of turning around to leave, Olivia found herself walking forward. She finally decided to seek her father's help once more, maybe she could forgive him after he helps them out. She propped herself and walked faster, wiping away her tear stained face, with a new new found hope. The distance to her father's building wasn't too far from where she stood before, so it wasn't too long until she reached her father's house. Nervous, anxious, tensed, uncertainty…., all these could be summed to what Olivia was feeling when she stopped at the entrance door. With a slight push the door was opened, she walked in slowly, her eyes searching for her father yet not searching for him. She continued walking, then halted when she heard her father's voice, talking and laughing with some other unfamiliar voices. She could tell they were female voices. Her heart started to race wildly, she shook her head to remove the thoughts which appeared in her head. “Are you not going to visit her in the hospital, at least you gets to see her before she dies?” A coquestish and soft voice said. The voice was unfamiliar to Olivia, but she could tell it was an adult woman. “Yes Dad, tell us will you visit her ?, So mom and I could see her and her daughter's ugly faces. Hahahaha” another unfamiliar voice said, but it sounded more familiar to Olivia. Olivia knitted her brows in confusion “Dad ?” Who exactly are these people ? If she hadn't heard her father's voice before now, she would have believed she went to the wrong house. But no! That was absolutely her father's voice. Although she was very curious as to the faces behind the voices, she waited calmly wanting to hear the man's reply. “Why would I visit them? I already disowned them a long time ago. I have your mom and you, I'm not visiting anyone especially not that woman” he said with a tone of finality. Olivia's body shook and she staggered a bit, her heart broke into pieces all over again, she felt the heavy urge to collapse and cry. “Why ? Why must reality always be cruel ?” All she wanted to do was turn around and leave, but she couldn't leave without making her presence known to her father. Unable to hold back the anger and hatred she felt for the man that called himself her father. She went straight into where she supposed she heard their voices from, here they are. “So this is it ?!” Olivia's voice faltered. The trio turned their attention to where Olivia's voice came from. “Olivia?…” Larry said, more of a question. “You still remember my name ? How should I feel ? Happy, sad, grateful ? But I don't feel any of it, what should I do, tell me ?” she chuckled lightly and directed her gaze towards the women. Her gaze stopped at the younger girl who sat besides her mother. Olivia's face changed immediately. “Ava ?!” She asked Now she knows where she's heard the familiar voice from. Another chuckle escaped her lips, fate seems to be playing tricks with her. She scrutinized the woman once more then turned to look at her father. “So these are the reasons you left mom and I ?” She asked, glancing at the mother-daughter. “What rubbish are you saying ? Who even let you come and disturb the peace of this house?” Larry asked, suddenly getting annoyed. Olivia's gaze was fixed at her father. This man was once her father, who gave her everything, father's love, attention, gifts, everything she needed back then as a child. It was still hard to believe that this man was no longer her father, though it hurt her pride, she still yearned for her father's love and hoped she would get it but that seemed to be her extravagant illusions. This man was no longer her father and never would she forgive him, never!. “I’ve always bragged about having the best father. But that seemed to be a past to me, because the one I once called best turned out to be the worst and worthless man I've ever met. I hope you enjoy your new home, if karma won't actually catch up with you” Olivia smiled sadly and turned to leave. She knew it was a waste of time, talking to her father or yelling at him. She hadn't walked three steps when she stopped. “How dare you come into our house and make trouble for my father ?” Ava suddenly asked. Her demeanor seeking for a fight. Olivia halted and turned to look at her, her eyes suddenly cold and distant. Ava flinched back, suddenly scared at the coldness glare Olivia shot at her. She could feel the hatred and anger emanating from just her gaze. She tried not to reveal her fear and nodded, motioning Olivia to answer the question. “I've always wondered why you look pitiful when others speak about their father in school. Who knew you were this desperate to have a father even to the extent of stealing people's father. Tsk, poor child” Olivia shook her head as if feeling pity for her. “Did your mother not train you well on how to speak to people ? If not, leave here if you can't talk properly.” Ava's mother added. “Says someone who doesn't know the meaning of self respect and humanity.” Olivia scoffed. “You! Larry, did you hear what she just said to me ?" How can you have a daughter like that, with such a sharp tongue ?” Ava's mom said, feigning a cry as she pointed at Olivia. “Olivia, leave this instant!” Larry yelled pointing to the door. “Your wickedness will catch up with you. Let's see how you enjoy peace.” She sneered. Not wanting to waste another second there, Olivia hurriedly left and slammed the door so hard that Larry flinched. “Insolent brat!” ****** Olivia thought her actions at Larry's house would make her feel calm, but she felt nothing close to calmness. Her eyes were stinging from pains, her heart aching with anger and pain, she tried to restrain the tears and emotions she felt inside. But couldn't bring herself to do it, she suddenly started crying. Everything was too much for her. She cried as she walked along the road, not caring about the states directed towards her by passersby. Lost in thoughts and unaware of the honking car that was coming. In the midst of the busty city traffic, under the scorching summer sun, the sudden loud screech of burning rubber echoed through the day. “There's an accident!” “Is she alive ?” “She lost so much blood, call an ambulance!” Olivia could hear faint voices in her head but couldn't tell who they were or why they were all saying there was an accident. Trying to understand what exactly was happening to her, why she felt excruciating pain, she felt light headed and blacked out.“Sir, are you alright ?” Nicholas asked as he helped Morgan up from the bed.“I'm okay. What about the girl ?” Morgan asked, removing the medical pipes induced in him.“She still hasn't woken up. We have a problem…..” Nicholas trailed off, unsure of saying what he was about to say.“What happened ?” “Her background is simple but complicated. Her mother is diagnosed with a brain tumor and needs urgent operation tomorrow. But she hasn't woken up and can't afford the operation. We-I….” Nicholas trailed off again.“Arrange for the operation. Make sure the best doctor is in charge of the operation. Then again, change her ward.” He said calmly.“But sir….”“No Buts” Morgan said with a tone of finality. Then laid back on the bed.Nicholas sighed and nodded.“What about the people who tampered with your brakes ?” he asked again.A devilish smile escaped Morgan's lips as he tilted his head, as if thinking of something.“They are no big deal, we'll handle them later. It's good Xavier already m
Olivia's recovery was pretty fast. As soon as she was discharged, she was brought to see her mother by Nicholas. Her mom was still in a coma, making it impossible to speak to her. The doctor assured her that mother was free from danger, and that alone made her mind relax. All through the process of meeting her mother, it was only Nicholas who escorted her. She didn't see Morgan, although what he looked like was fuggy in her mind, she could tell the difference between Nicholas and him.She followed Nicholas into a black Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, that screamed of luxury. Although Nicholas has been polite to her, in every little conversation they shared, she still couldn't help the feeling of nervousness that lingered within her.The car sped along the road, finally halting at a presidential estate. Nicholas got out first. Olivia got out and hurriedly followed him.“Where are we?” She asked, her eyes darting around the whole place.“This is the young master's place, and where you'd lea
Olivia's eyes settled on the varieties of delicacies set on the table, her mouth watered. The aroma was so appetizing, reminding her of how long she had tasted nice food. She was actually going to have a taste of the foods which she usually sees in magazines, hoping one day she'd taste them. She glanced at Morgan, who had already begun eating. Even his eating style screamed of dominance and elegance. Olivia was still eating, when she felt a piercing gaze on her, she paused and raised her face to meet with Morgan's dark eyes. “Did you go through the contract before signing it?” Morgan suddenly asked, startling Olivia.“Yeah, I did read it.” She nodded, looking down on her food.Of course, she didn't go through it, she only read the first page and proceeded to sign it.“If so, I shouldn't remind you of what to do after this dinner.” Morgan said, getting up from the site as he wiped his mouth.“Eh?!” Olivia paused, knitting her brows confused, as her gaze followed Morgan.Morgan walke
Olivia was stunned to see the price tags of every dress they went by. No wonder, it was only celebrities and ladies from rich families who wore dresses like this. The price alone, can take care of her mom's hospital bills, and she could begin schooling again. “I'd let you walk around and select the ones you like, my attention is needed in the other department.” The sales lady said, smiling politely. Olivia smiled back and nodded. She was still checking out the dresses, when her eyes caught sight of the jewelry sparkling under the bright chandeliers. She smiled, grazing her fingers on them. “She's so young, what do you think? She might be one of these vixens sleeping with rich men to climb the rank. How can a girl have such money to buy jewelries.” “Kids of this generation, look how exposed her thighs are. She must be a homewrecker, look at her face, she looks like a fox, that's why men would like her.” Olivia could hear distant female voices. Of course, they were talking abou
Olivia still couldn't believe how Morgan stood up for her, and finally, she got something she wanted. At least Ava wouldn't dare to mess with her, not again. Even after the incident, Morgan didn't spare her a glance, he walked ahead of Olivia, his gaze cold and aloof. He finally halted, making Olivia bump into his sturdy back.“Ouch!” She winched, caressing her forehead.“Your clothes are messed up, you'll have to change into something better.” He said, turning to look at her. What!Olivia circled her gaze around her dress, finding nothing wrong with her dress, she glanced up at Morgan, staring at him with confusion.“You won't change, will you? Fine, you can get your marriage certificate all dressed like that.” He said, resuming his walk.“Marriage Certificate?” She gasped, arching her brows. She slapped her forehead, recalling she was automatically married to Morgan, after she signed the contract. What's left was to get a marriage certificate.Though the word wife sounded foreign a
Larry's House,Hilda frowned upon Ava's return, she furrowed her brows deeply that it could kill a fly.“What happened to your face, why is it so red and swollen?” Hilda asked, pulling Ava to sit with her.Ava remained silent, tears welling up in her eyes. Anger, hatred and jealousy filled in her chest.“Ava dear, mom is asking you, who did this to you? Who did this to my daughter?” Hilda said, impatience written on her face.“Who else? It's that slut! It's Olivia!” Ava cried.“Olivia? that brat! How dare she do this to you? What happened?”“Mom, I went to Crystal Mall to get that bracelet I was telling you about, I didn't know Olivia was there and also wanted the same bracelet. I took it before she could take it and she wanted me to give it back, when I said no, she slapped me and started beating me.”“What hurts me most is that Morgan Klein helped her, he took the bracelet from me and gave it to her. Mom, how could Olivia get the backing of the top richest man in the city? He even a
Xavier stilled on his seat. After some seconds, he quickly grabbed his phone and dialed a number.“Hello boss,” a rough male's voice was heard from the other end of the phone.“Did you leave any trace that would trail back to me?” Xavier growled anxiously.“No boss. Everything is clean.” Xavier hung up the call. His eyes darted around the office, and stopped on his desk. Just now, he thought that Morgan had already found out about the accident, but it seems to be his delusion.“Watch how I take you down.” He smiled wickedly.Morgan sat leisurely, swirling around the chair, when his phone rang. He took it and glanced at the screen, contemplating if he should take the call or not.“Hello, Mr. Morgan, your father has requested to see you.”“I'm busy today, I'd come next time.” Morgan said, his brows furrowed.“But sir..he refused to take his medications. Please come and see him.” The doctor pleaded.“That Man!” Morgan sighed, hanging up the call.He informed Nicholas and they quickly l
“Ouch!” Olivia winced, as her face came in contact with Morgan's sturdy chest.“Can’t you be more careful?” Morgan frowned as he released his hold on her.Olivia rubbed her now reddened face, her eyes glistening with tears. She couldn't believe how someone's chest could be as painful as Morgan's chest.Morgan's gaze darkened as he saw her moist eyes and reddened face. His heart tugged with tenderness and guilt, suddenly wishing never to see her in pain.He carried her off the ground, suddenly startling her. Olivia wanted to protest and fight, so he could put her down, but she couldn't find the strength to do it. She melted Into him, unexpectedly feeling secure. If it was because of his soothing cologne and scent or because he didn't intentionally hurt her, she had no knowledge, but she felt secure.Morgan carried her into his sturdy, sitting her on the desk. Olivia tried to move, but was stopped by his low husky growl. “Don't move.” Olivia stilled, even though she didn't want to. T
Gilbert cleared his throat, bringing Olivia's attention to him.“Dad” she smiled, getting up from the chair to help him up.“Oli dear, how are you doing?” He smiled.“I’m fine dad. How's your health?”“I'd be fine dear.” Olivia nodded, reaching for the black bag she came in with. She happened to see a store where they sold fruits and told Nicholas to take her there to buy them. She took out the fruits from the bag, “I got you fruits, dad.” she said, turning on the faucet that was on the other side of the room, to wash the fruits.“That's thoughtful of you. Morgan wouldn't even buy me fruits when coming.” Olivia laughed, returning to her seat, as she started peeling an apple for him.“Are your parents alive?” Gilbert suddenly asked. His eyes read Olivia's expression.Olivia paused, hesitating on what to say. If anyone was dead, it was her father. Even though her mom was still in a coma, her father was the dead one.“No, my mom is alive.” “I'm sorry about your father.” Gilbert said,
Later that night, Morgan woke up and carried Olivia into his bed. She whined, twitching her face in the process, but later relaxed.Meanwhile, Morgan watched her closely, his eyes studying every inch of her face. His heart fluttered, for nothing else but for the tiny figure occupying his bed. He pulled her closer, holding her waist as he leaned his face into her nook, inhaling her pleasant smell, until he slept off.******Xavier sat on his couch, his gaze fixed on the led plasma television hung in his extravagantly furnished sitting room.He was about to turn it off and leave for work, when a headline caught his attention.YOUNG MASTER MORGAN WAS SEEN WITH A WOMAN LAST NIGHT AT A NIGHTCLUB. AS THE WOMAN'S FACE REMAINS UNKNOWN, NETIZENS WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHO THE WOMAN IS….Xavier frowned, his mind drifting back to the girl he saw in the hospital, as Morgan's wife. Could she really be Morgan's wife? They didn't even have a wedding…Who exactly was this girl?Xavier thought as a bad id
Evaris Lounge, A black Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, pulled up In Front of the night club, with Olivia and Morgan walking out of the car.Nicholas was already ahead of them, pushing away the piles of press, who were gathered with the flashing light of their cameras.Olivia suddenly became tense, her palms becoming sweaty as she looked away from the camera. Her face can't be shown in the news headline, only that way would be fine even after ending the contract with Morgan.Morgan, who noticed her obvious change, shot her a questioning glance. She shook her head, returning an assuring yet fake smile.Soon they were inside the club. Normally, Morgan wouldn't sit in an area where he was easily recognized or within reach. He took the elevator, which brought him to the top floor of the building, the VIP section of the club. Finally they were in a presidential room, which screamed of affluence and extravagant luxury.Olivia was met with two men, they were dressed so casually, yet maintained a
It was raining heavily in Morning, Olivia was cuddled up in her bed, thinking about many things. From the possibilities of Morgan being a gay to going back to school.Olivia was happy, she was finally getting back to school, and Rescrest for the matter. Her lips tugged with smile as she couldn't wait. She was still thinking when her mom came into her mind, her mood dropped. The vegetative state her mother was in, were all caused by Larry and she'd forever hate it.Olivia was at least glad that she ran into Morgan, though he couldn't be tagged as good.Someone knocked on her door, snapping her out of her thoughts. Shortly the door was opened and Nicholas walked in, he was carrying a set of packaged clothes and a box.“Good morning Nick,” Olivia yawned, getting up from bed.Nicholas seems to pause for a while, his gaze snapping at Olivia. Olivia, who seemed to notice his sudden change let out a laugh.“You shouldn't be like this all the time. You remember Ava calling you an old man?, th
Fredrick burst into laughter, as his gaze washed over Olivia, who now furrowed her brows.“Okay sorry, sorry. I don't mean it that way, but how's that even possible?” He said through laughter, as he held his stomach.“What do you mean by that?” Nicholas asked, shooting him a questioning glare.“Morgan I know is everything but women?…talk more about marriage. Nahh, Nicole, I don't believe that.” Fredrick shook his head.“Well then, you've seen with your eyes.” All through the conversation, Olivia's mind has been drifting back to what Aunt Maureen said. Is he really a gay?“Why do you not believe it?” Olivia suddenly asked, glancing at Fredrick. He smiled softly and began.“I and Morgan were in the same College, we schooled together in the States. I've known that dude for way too long, he's so abstinent when it comes to women that I sometimes wonder if he could get a wife. You need to see tropes of girls that flocked themselves around him then, but he wouldn't even bulge.”“I almost t
Olivia was having breakfast with Morgan in the morning. As much as she didn't want to see his face, she knew nothing could be done.Morgan kept stealing glances at Olivia, while she was busy flipping the food over and over, bringing none to her mouth. His eyes wandered to her wrist and paused on a red mark on her wrist, his heart tugged with pain. He quickly looked away and got up to leave.Olivia raised her face to look at him, but he had already turned his back and left, she could only stare at his back. She retracted her gaze and stared at the food for a while before getting up to leave the table. She had thought Morgan was different, he was nice to her even though it was only Contract. But looking back at what happened last night, she took back those words. He was far from nice, he was just like everybody out there, selfish and greedy. And all she was going to do was stay in his silent mansion all day, and pretend to be his wife in public.Nonsense!Olivia was about to get into
Olivia got back into the queue after helping Emma, although she left, not wanting to join the audition again. As time went on, the long straight line was getting smaller. Several girls who were disqualified were trooping out of the building, their faces scrunched in anger.Just as they kept going, joining the line as it shortens, Olivia heard whispers at her back.“Omg how can she be dressed as a tomboy and come for an audition?” “Valerie, you're just so jealous. Look, she's beautiful and has a nice figure from the back. Look at those smooth long legs!”“Nonsense! Who's jealous? She's just lucky to have a nice body, who knows, her face might be too ugly.” She sneered.Just then, Olivia turned to look at them, they were obviously discussing her, as if she wasn't there.“Oh my god!” the girl who defended her earlier gasped, widening her eyes in shock. The girl who seems to be Valerie paused, suddenly knitting her brows, as she stared at Olivia dumbfounded.“Don't you think it's unwise
Olivia flinched, looking everywhere but his face.“Why do you want to terminate the contract?” Morgan asked, retreating from his steps as he walked towards her.“You never told me, i-i I'd get to bear a child for you. Is that not cheating?” Olivia stated, this time staring at his face, which was very close to her.“It’s not like I'd tell you the details of the contract, when I was going to just give it to you to read. How's that cheating?”Olivia was lost of words, Morgan was right. If actually she read the contract initially this wouldn't have happened. But she couldn't let Morgan win.“Now that I've read it, I want to terminate it. I can't bear a child for you. Never.” Olivia shook her head.Morgan let out a low chuckle, his gaze now staring at Olivia with amusement and interest.“And why's that?” Olivia shot him a glance, as if he was growing horns in his head.“I can't bear you child, and that's final. Can't we just end the contract and you'd look for another girl?”Morgan stared
In a high end restaurant, with luxurious and expensive decor, Xavier was seen, sitting at a table. He was dressed in a black-custom made suit, his dark inky hair, shaved and styled to fall by the side. His eyes shimmered with pride and excitement. Tonight, he was going to sign and finalize the deal with Mr. Marco, which was finally going to give him an upper hand over Morgan. He smiled at the mere thought of it, just then he caught sight of Franco, walking in with a group of two men. Xavier slightly frowned, because he didn't see Mr. Marco come in with them. Did he already back out? His inner mind question, but he shook off as soon as they came closer to his table. Xavier stood up, with a broad smile, plastered on his face. He stretched forth his hand, exchanging greetings. The men nodded as they returned his smile, sitting on the chair pulled out by Franco. “I suppose you are Xavier Gilbert.” Louis said, with a deep Philippine accent. “Yes I am.” Xavier nodded. The other man
