Avery laughed. Luke, hearing his laughter echo through the phone, smiled at the effect as he knew how the past days had been for him since he lost his memories and more to come.

“You are insane at this point and do need to see a psychiatrist too. Oh shit, I am 5 minutes late for the video call with Mr. Benson. We were to discuss the stock market and collaboration deal. Luke, I will talk to you later” Avery said hurriedly hanging up on the call.

Luke smiled and knew no matter what Avery faced, he was always devoted to his work as if that was the only thing that could heal his thoughts. He proceeded to go through his email and discovered it was a minute to noon and he had an engagement to attend. The memory of the invitation brought a huge smile to his face.
