BACK IN THE DAY

Several days had passed after Ava blurted out those unthinkable words ‘I would like to get married to you’ to Derek, and everything had gone back to normal.

She had stopped cringing so badly each time she thought about the embarrassment that she felt after saying those words to him.

Derek hadn't brought up the topic since then, and in fact, Ava began to think that he had all but forgotten about it, since he continued to act with her as he usually did, without his behavior changing in the slightest. It was a huge relief.
