Derek arrived promptly at Ava's house for his ice cream date with Harper. Ava wasn't at home, but she had left instructions with her housekeeper and Harper's nanny to release Harper to him.

They had agreed that Harper was going to spend the night at his place because Barry kept asking for her and she wanted to see him as well.
