Ivery’s POV.

My eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the light streaming through the window. I tried to sit up, but something was holding me back. I looked down, and saw an arm wrapped around me. And then it all came flooding back, the memories of the night before.

I felt my smile fade, and I reminded myself of the truth. Last night, he had been drunk, and he needed someone to take care of him. That was the only reason he had come to me, the only reason he had to make out with me.

I couldn't let myself believe that he felt anything more than that. I was unable to let myself believe in something that wasn't real. I had to face the truth, even if it hurt.

I found myself wondering if he had really ended things with Diva, or if he'd just said that in the heat of the moment. My mind was r
