Knock Knock

There was rustling of someone in the kitchen before proceeding to click the door open.

“Hi dear,”

“Good morning Mom” Alan bowed politely to Ashley’s mother.

“Come in” She led him in and both of them settled on the sofa.

“What brings you here early in the morning?” She asked, holding his gaze.

“I had to be at the office for a meeting but I needed to see you first. That's why I am here early enough” He paused.

“I found out where Ashley went to, although I don't know the city yet but it won't be long before I find out” He studied her expression for any changes before continuing.
