I couldn't bear to see her like this, lost and broken."Zyra, please." I begged, my voice clearly hinting the desperation and plea in it. "It's me, Nicolas." My voice trembled as I pleaded her to come back to me from whatever world she is in right now.Her finger tightened on the trigger, and I knew that if Lorenzo made one wrong move, she would end it all. Zyra lay unconscious on the frigid hospital bed, her lifeblood staining the pristine white sheets. I couldn't divert my gaze from her, a silent plea echoing in my mind to wake up, to defy the odds stacked against her."Don't worry, Boss." Noah said, putting his hand on my shoulder in a comforting way before he disappeared inside the operation theater, leaving me to battle with my thoughts. Shawn already called Noah before, so he was ready with everything we needed for Zyra to be treated when we reached the hospital.
