VIOLET’S POV

“You’re hurting me.” Were the only words I could form amidst the pain I was feeling right now. And it was as if he snapped out of whatever it was he was feeling. He released me and backed away with guilt flashing in his eyes.

I had nothing to say to him at this point and I wanted to be left alone to tend to my broken heart. I turned to leave but he called after me, grabbing my arm, only gently this time like he didn’t want to break me. “Vi, wait. I’m sorry.” For what? I wanted to ask.
