The shimmering, gold beams of the sun magnificently, almost carefully landed on his skin that quickly glowed with enchanting glee.

Hushed — it was completely quiet, only the gentle breeze sang its songs, deep into his ears, making him fall deeper into an abyss of his dreams — so delicate. His eyelids trembled terribly just when he felt the cold shamelessly kiss his skin — how rude! His heart was lazily humming a song, so soft and calm, it made him believe that he was at peace.

He was —

However, his peace was quickly disrupted when his ears caught a door open with a terrifying creak, as if the person opening was a criminal and he was going to be a victim of a lurid crime. His heart skipped a beat as agahst enveloped his system — it was only for a moment. What was he going to do? He was still drawn to his dream, how was he going to protect himself? A frown swiftly replaced the tranquility that had been buried on his face and now, worry was making itself known across his features.

  • The Brightest Shadow: Teenage Days   Leisurely!

“Ahh! Calm down, dear heart! Always take a deep breath in and then out when pressure begins to overwhelm my spirit.” Travis, who was seated quietly in a classroom that was enveloped by a blue code of silence, pacified himself soon when he felt his hands begin to tremble. His eyes were trained on the watch that was loudly ticking on the wall. There were ten minutes left until the examination began and he could already feel his muscles tighten as his chest heaved with uneasiness — the boy was nervous. “Whatever that happens, give it your all and don't let pressure break the bones of your brain. Fight and never say never.” Rushing back in his head, Travis whispered the words that David had said to him last night during a phone call. The boy closed his eyes and for some reason, his head decided to teleport his being back when he unintentionally eavesdropped on his grandmother as she was whispering words to Arthur. “...! I know but he has to pass! He must, it doesn't matter if it is not

[The Last Day of School Before Holidays.]The whole classroom was blooming with a cacophony of whispers, giggles and guffaws. Every corner was set up by the gentle beams of the sun as buzzing murmurs danced across the whole room. Everyone was impatiently waiting for the last, special bell to ring — after it, everything came to an end but not for good. The bell ringing would mean that the school hours were ending but only for a few weeks and a month. There, David and Travis were finally happy that neither of them was sitting too far from the other, that is what David was thinking at the moment. As for Travis, he was ecstatic, remembering a second he opened his mouth to tell his grandmother about his progress — about his school results. The old woman who was seemingly holding her breath, waiting for the news from Travis finally released a deep, loud breath when her grandson aired, at last. She quickly got up from her chair and rushed towards Travis and without warning, enveloped her i

[Kiss Me Harder, I Won't Run, I Promise!]The whole building was overwhelmed by blue and red piercing lights that luminously swam in the atmosphere, mischievously travelling across the whole place whilst rudely exposing people who tried to hide their evil deeds — a few of them, of course not many liked how the light approached them. Loud, deep house music vibrantly and unceremoniously punctured into the ear chambers of those inside who were lost in the rhythms of each beat. Everyone had to shout their lungs out whenever they spoke to their companions. One would see that as an unhealthy thing to even look at or want to experience, however, that did not matter to the people in the luxurious club. It wasn't very hard for Travis and David to find the group. As Kevin had mentioned in their chat group, the rest of the group was sitting at the furthest table, away from the many eyes of people. “You are ten minutes late! What took you so long?” Upon landing her eyes on the tall figure of Tr

[In The Middle Of The Night!] “Should I tell them, David?” Kevin hissed, a treacherous smile stuck on his face whilst his eyes slyly observed as David silently struggled with his words. The boy could feel everyone's heavy eyes placed on his figure — his shoulders had suddenly become heavy and he could not breathe. For some reason, Travis's eyes carefully pasted themselves on Kevin and glided on the smallest parts of his figure. “Too many secrets, I wonder if you are a cheetah!” Travis spoke to himself as he took a deep breath into his system. “I'm sorry, Travis!” David whispered under his breath just when he had cleared his throat. “Oh well, it seems like he is shy!” Kevin chuckled. “Guys, I will tell you who this is!” Kevin spat and huffed. “This is David's…!”“I'm David's brother, nice to meet all of you!” Kevin quickly blurted, a smile mischievously stuck across his face while his eyes followed David's movements as he flinched with surprise. David — he frowned, definitely not because he was afraid, but of course, confused. “What do you…want, Sean?” The boy huffed soon when folding his arms across his chest that was leisurely heaving. Right there, Sean threw out a soft yet slightly rumbling chuckle that echoed evilly throughout the room before making a mischievous float in David's ears. “No, David. That question belongs to me! I should be the one to ask you that very question: What do you want?” Sean hissed while his face was being enveloped by a smirk that sent chills all over David's system. “I mean, instead of spending the night with Travis, you're here after you made it clear that you don't want to see me again. Or is it that you miss “us” too much? What? You just can't handle it yourself? The truth does bites but at le

The door opened with a thunderous bang and there was a breathy David whose whole features were covered with tiny, glistening beads of sweat — some lazily flowing down on the nape of his neck. His red cheeks were slowly starting to become pale whilst on the other side, his hands trembled as if they had just come out of ice cold water. With legs that were so numb and unwilling to obey all the orders of his mind, David shuffled towards the first basin that his bloodshot eyes landed upon soon when he threw himself in the bathroom.“No! No! No!” The boy growled and released a cry filled with pity. He cupped water with his quivering hands and without ever thinking, splashed it on his sweating face. Right there, he felt cold air as it was biting into his lungs and in that brief moment, he realised that his breathing was uneven — he could not breathe. His lips quickly became black and blue just when he closed his eyes and the only thing he saw was Sean's tattooed, naked body. “Damn you!” Da

The rising sun gently blew its beams down to the Park mansion, there, where they innocently floated into the kitchen, mischievously landing on Travis's pale face. They meant no harm but Travis swiftly released a loud, sonorous sigh, his forehead wrinkling with irritation. “I knew her silence meant nothing good but was it necessary to have said all those nasty things in David's face? Whoever said I care about the name!?” Immediately after a minute, an agitated Travis whose veiny eyes were flickering with rage that was equally married to fear, hissed through his teeth as quietly as he could. His phone laid heavily on his trembling, sweaty hand as he leafed through its blue screen. His heart was throbbing uncontrollably against his chest as he typed a message to David. That would be the seventh message he'd have to type to his boyfriend whom did not respond since last night. None of the messages were responded or read, not even to mention his calls. That was the reason why Travis was

[Later That Night:]“Have you begun with the search? I need the results as soon as possible; right before any of this get out of hand!” An agitated Mrs Park, who was pacing back and forth, hissed through her clenched teeth. Her features were chiseled, icy, and unyielding, betraying no hint of tender emotions, only those that sent chills down Arthur's spine. She narrowed her eyes at Arthur who was uncomfortably standing still on the same spot, as his eyes followed the hasty movements of his grandmother. “D-don’t worry, I am almost there. I will be done before the schools reopen, I promise you!” Arthur responded shortly after taking a deep breath to hold control over his heart. His hands were carefully placed on his back as he spoke. “How can I not worry when I see that things are falling apart? Those two do not belong together! Their so-called friendship will ruin everything I have built. Thank heavens that nothing has been linked to the media yet.” Mrs Park retorted and quickly wen

“David is the guest. He is invited all of a sudden, but why? Mrs Park has also hired the best, well-known chef because of him. What could be why he was invited and why was I not told?” An agitated Jiyeon silently investigated. Thoughts were swirling in the back of her head, thwarting her from thinking of anything else but them. Her heart was beating heavily, not because she was scared but because she could not wait to finally set her eyes on David, whom he wished the worst had happened to him. With questions invading her head, she lost interest in Arthur and forgot that he was still around. On the other side, Arthur’s heart was jingling with delight watching Jiyeon’s reaction. He quietly ate his apple and finished it all without saying anything else to Jiyeon. Travis and Mrs Park suddenly showed up in the dining room — the maids were already done setting the table. “Oh, come on in, David. Please, don’t be afraid, make yourself at home.” David who was being walked by a guard stood s

[SOMEWHERE AROUND THE WORLD: 6 PM] Right there, in a black SUV, silence rudely lingered, making the quiet young man's heart hammer against his chest with slow, uncalculated moves. His eyes looked down at his sweaty palms, afraid to look up and meet Mr M’s threatening glance. “I see you are moving at a fast pace! That is great! Very good!” Mr M hissed as he applauded. David flinched at the deepness of his voice that casually reverberated across the car. Words hung on his uvula, refusing to come out of his mouth whilst his heart skipped a beat. Not knowing what to say, David bowed as he bit his lower lip. His eyes were still locked on his palms which were now curled into weak fists — not that he would use them on anything or anyone. “I hope you are not rushing just because you want to be debt-free.” Mr M hissed wearing a treacherous smile that instead made David swallow deep. The boy sharply raised his head and glued his eyes on Mr M. “N-no…, that is not the case. I just wa…!” “L

WARNING: HOMOPHOBIC SLURS, READ WITH CAUTION! Crickets hummed a song, slightly soothing the trembling heart of Travis that was in the creaminess of melancholy. Cracks seemed to decorate his heart as he searched for answers. The moon was shining brightly in the sky like a sparkling diamond thrown in the ocean of pulsating tiny fish. The breeze gently kissed his skin, trying to help his body cool but that was a mission impossible. His blood was wildly boiling; veins had long protruded everywhere on his sweat-drenched skin. He nervously clenched his teeth while swallowing deepily; trying to get rid of a lump that was dancing in the chambers of his throat. His dilated eyes with shock sharply darted up and down the blue screen of his phone that for some reason proved to be heavy for his sweating hand. A frown had long glued itself across his forehead, shamelessly finding a temporary home immediately when he had switched his phone on. Questions and thoughts raced in his head, making it

The air became cold. Eyes bulged with unspoken fear as they mysteriously glided over the figure of Jiyeon. The girl had tilted her head to her right, her eyes slyly following every jumpy movement that her mother made. Her smile widened just when she noticed confusion covering the red, wet face of her mother. “You bastard! How could you do that to your own mother!?” Mrs Choi hissed through her trembling lips that were now dry as a hard bone. Her mouth felt like a desert, parched and craving moisture as words played hide and seek in the back of her throat. Beads of sweat lined up across her forehead as her breath became shallow. “Oh dear, I am my mother’s daughter. One bastard gave birth to another bastard.” Jiyeon released an annoyed sigh and chuckled when she caught her mother’s lips trembling. “Did you know, father always thought that I looked nothing like him. Don’t force it!” The old lady assured the girl whose eyes were tightly shut; feeling ashamed to let Mrs Park see her weakness. Jiyeon bit her lower lip and silently counted to three before she could open her eyes. “It is okay. I want to go…and get them myself.” Squeezing Mrs Park’s hand with her free, uninjured hand, Jiyeon whispered soon after taking a deep breath. Mrs Park stared at the girl for a while and never said a word. She nodded at her driver and the engine of the car they were in growled as it began moving. The car roared out of the Park mansion to a destination where Mrs Park was not so sure they should go to. Jiyeon quietly watched the tall, luxurious buildings pass as the car drove by. Her heart was jingling in the embrace of her ribs, as an unidentified number of emotions collided i

Night descended like a velvet cloak, softly enveloping the world in an inky blackness that seemed to have a texture all its own. The stars twinkled like diamonds scattered across the fabric of the sky, their gentle sparkle casting an ethereal glow over the landscape. The moon, a silver crescent, hung low on the horizon, casting long, sinuous shadows that stretched and twisted like living things. “Thank you.” David who had just come out of the taxi, said as he bowed and watched the taxi drive off. An oppressed sigh found its way out of his lips as he stood in the same spot for a while. His mind was set alight by a fountain of thoughts that made it hard for him to breathe or concentrate on anything else. “A sin? How is it a sin? And why would you find the pleasure in continuing this sin?” Travis’s words rang in the back of his head, poisoning his heart into a temporary melancholy. “Find the pleasure in continuing this sin? What does he mean? He doesn’t view this as a sin. He does n

“Come out, I am outside.” David whispered over the phone, making Travis’s heart jump, this time with fear. He flinched from the bed and rushed towards his window where he began searching for David. “Where are you? I can’t see you.” Hardly holding his breath, Travis whispered, standing on the balcony, intensely searching for his boyfriend. It was as if he had lost his mind. Travis did not notice the tall walls that prevented him from seeing the world outside the huge gates. “Fuck…!” He said silently to himself when it had finally dawned on him that he had to sneak out of the house and meet his boyfriend. His blood was running warm as his heart uncontrollably jingled in the chamber of his chest. The longing to see David had become an all-consuming force, a restless hunger that gnawed at his very soul. As he stood there, his fingers instinctively curled around the curtain, his nails digging deep into the fabric like talons grasping for an anchor. His breathing grew ragged, a slow, to
