"I broke it because it was annoyingly useless. There was no water coming out," Bangs answered.

Lesley glanced at him surprisingly.

The guard couldn't believe it and shook his head, pointing at the broken sink. "Why do you have to destroy it like that? You know we can call a plumber to have it fixed. Now it's completely useless."

"My apologies, sir," Lesley rebutted. "He is still suffering from his drug withdrawal. He's a bit irritable, so, uhm, he broke the sink because he was frustrated that no water was coming out. That's right. That's what happened," she added, biting her lips, hoping it was enough of an explanation.

The man sighed heavily. "Well, there's nothing we can do about it anymore. He stomped on it," he stressed.

It was as if a thorn had been pulled out of her throat. She does not have to think of any absurd excuses anymore. But she did not let it show.

Bangs just snorted, still obviously annoyed. Lesley knows why he is acting like this, and she understands him. She, too,
