As Darcy Fletcher gazed upon the entrance of her family's company, tears streamed down her face as she reflected on all the cherished moments that had taken place there. This nostalgic connection went back to her very birth, having been born and raised in Michigan's stunning cityscape. The establishment in question was erected by none other than Darcy's great-grandfather and remained an enduring legacy through three successive generations of their familial line.

The company once held a dominant position in Michigan's clothing market, but its fortunes declined when the owner fell ill and could not prevent further setbacks. Despite relying on loyal customers for some time afterward, they eventually went bankrupt six months ago due to an error made by her brother. In order to pay off employees before their assets were auctioned off, one of their villas was sold to a recent arrival in Michigan.

Billionaire Gale Harris, a young and world-renowned businessman with interests spanning the automotive and clothing industries, was the man in question. His family hailed from Michigan and owned a nearby clothing factory alongside that of Fletcher's which had shut down when his father met his mother who led him to Ireland where he started their own clothes line. Although considered powerful yet elusive by many, they were returning to Michigan for good since senior Harris wished to be back home. While Darcy tried searching online for Mr.Harris' photograph she couldn't seem to find any evidence despite being warned about his ruthless tactics as a head executive officer within global commerce circles .

Gale Harris relocated to Michigan and reopened his grandfather's shuttered factory, determined to regain its former glory while providing jobs for the community. The economy of Michigan City had suffered a long decline due to job losses in manufacturing and the subprime collapse. Gale's venture was seen as a potential game-changer for the city, with locals embracing him warmly despite Darcy having reservations about his motives - particularly after he recently purchased much of the real estate and few businesses in town, leading her mistrustful perception of him.

Standing there, she observed the surroundings of the factory while waiting for a potential buyer who had expressed interest in acquiring her company. The individual wanted to inspect it first and so Darcy made the journey to show him around. Despite being hesitant about selling, circumstances left her with no other choice - if someone purchased it before auction day arrived, she could avoid further embarrassment as media attention surrounding her brother's scandal had plagued their name these past few months. Additionally concerned for her ill father, burdens regarding business troubles also weighed on his shoulders less over time if sold off quickly upon finding a reasonable offer. With an enthusiastic response after receiving just one phone call from this unknown party yesterday wanting to come see what they may soon invest into purchasing- Darcy agreed readily knowing that was exactly how things must be handled under pressing circumstance at hand!

Upon selling the factory, Darcy had a clear plan in mind. The first step was to locate her estranged brother who had left home and refused to come back despite their father's advancing age. Though Louis was rarely mentioned by their dad, Darcy could tell from his wistful gaze toward the road that he yearned for his son's return. Knowing this only intensified Darcy's determination to find him.

Darcy felt a tinge of sadness as she observed him shed tears while gazing at his photograph the previous evening. Additionally, Darcy must depart to Paris soon for an upcoming Global design contest in which she will participate next month. Despite having received numerous awards during her time pursuing her masters in London, Darcy has been unable to showcase and utilize her skills upon returning home due to the various complications plaguing her company one after another.

At the young age of twenty-five, she found herself constantly engulfed in her companies' issues and couldn't resist letting out a sigh. She realized that somewhere along the way, she had lost sight of who she was as an individual. Curious if this was a sign to leave Michigan behind for good but with misguided uncertainty on whether it's even possible. Lost in thought amidst these inner conflicts, oblivious to the Bentley pulling into their company campus grounds nearbyo nly further fuelingthose doubts than quell them..

Upon hearing the guard's announcement, she stirred from her slumber and ventured outside whereupon a man emerged from an impressive black Maybach. At six feet tall with a strong build and sun-kissed skin, he possessed sharp features that captured Darcy's admiration at first glimpse - truly an exceedingly handsome gentleman whom she couldn't help but marvel over. Having traveled to multiple countries while studying in London, Darcy had seen many people before; however none as strikingly attractive as him had crossed her path until now.

As she walked towards him, he wore an amused expression while looking at her.

"Miss Fletcher, I apologize for keeping you waiting. I arrived late last night from New York and overslept this morning," the man stated while extending his hand in a handshake greeting.

With a smile, Darcy clasped his hand briefly and reassured him. "No worries, Mr. Davis - I've just arrived myself. Please do come in; let's take a leisurely walk."

"Miss Fletcher, in fact... he is not," a second man emerged from the car ready to speak but was silenced by Mr. Davis' warning glare.

Darcy inquired curiously, "May I ask who you are?" as she had not previously noticed him.

"Miss Fletcher, it is a pleasure to meet you. My name is John and I am Mr. Davis's assistant," said the man as he cleared his throat.

Darcy asked, "I'm sorry for interrupting earlier. What were you saying? It's also nice to meet you."

"I don't want to upset you, but I was about to mention that you're incredibly stunning."

With a blush, Darcy's face turned crimson. She was often praised for her striking features that were passed down to her by her mother.

"Darcy said, 'Thank you, sir. Please follow me and I will show you around,'" before taking the lead.

With the company having shut its doors six months prior, Darcy had to let go of all her employees. As a result, there was no one present except for the guard. Taking matters into her own hands, she decided to give him a tour.

"You once said.......,” she repeated determinedly, “that I would never admit love till it became the dominant emotion in my life, outgrowing everything else. She raised misty eyes to his and the shining quality behind her tears could be mistaken. “It’s like that now, Gale,” she said. “I love you. If you want to go back to Ireland or Paris wherever you go take me with you!”" “We can go to Ireland, Cannes, Paris or any part of the world but on our honeymoon,” he told her. She pressed her face hard against the roughness of his coat, ashamed of those days when her love had not been as sure as his. After all, Darcy lived in a happy dream where her family and her family business were still precious but not the centre of her universe. There had always been other interests in her life, of course, and her family might have been something of an obsession, but now she saw herself lucky enough to possess so many things the greatest of which was love. Gale wrapped his arms around her and captu

  • The Bossy Billionaire   Chapter 77(Epilogue 1)

“Well the party was in full swing and I happened to take pictures of the beautiful gowns worn by the celebrities and models to show to my designers so that they could get some inspiration but all of a sudden an angry female who was wearing the most beautiful mask was looking at me angrily as I was about to click her picture and for a moment I was distracted by her beautiful sparkling eyes and forgot to take her picture. “You, what do you think you are doing?” She spoke angrily and she pointed her fingers at me. Darcy who was listening to his narrative was somehow shaken to the core and she tried to think about the time three years back when she had participated in the backstage party wearing her winning mask and said the same thing to the masked guy who was looking at her intently. She looked at Gale in confusion but Gale chose to ignore her and continued. “I was too busy looking at her and was amused at her outburst, she was so feisty and even with the mask she looked like a diva.

Rachael came to the office in search of Louis that afternoon and Darcy thought that she looked unhappy, in spite of the fact that her romance with Louis was spreading like wildfire all around Michigan. She was running after Louis like a woman head over heels for him and Louis being an extrovert was trying hard to give his best to the only women who would scold and love him at the same time but the most important part was she never judged him for what he had done in the past and accepted him with his flaws making it utterly impossible for Louis to resist her and fall madly in love with her. Darcy,” she exclaimed, “why are people so difficult? Especially the people one loves most!” “Because you can’t let go of loving them, I suppose. Other people don’t count so much. Can I help you with anything Rachael?” She thought that the trouble with her little brother was over ages ago and she had already decided that Rachael could manage Louis better than her and she had shown by her actions i

Darcy did not know what to think. “Louis,” she begged, “don’t say anything about this just now. It might only worry Mrs Harris needlessly. Let's leave it till Gale can deal with it himself." “Which I don’t think will be very long,” Louis said as the old guard came down the stairs. “He’s had a miraculous escape, hope he recovers fast.” Gale”s recovery took longer than they expected. It was two weeks before he was up and about again and a full month before he went back to the mill. In these days Louis became his constant companion, carrying his orders to the company and generally supervising the working of the factory during his absence. In the circumstances. Louis thought Darcy should stay at the office to help. It was a strange thing, but Louis never mentioned the break-in at the office again. The lock was repaired on the assumption that the CEO had forced the door, and that was that, but Darcy felt that there had been a note of satisfaction in her brother’s voice when he had info

“Dr James?” she asked when she finally got through. “Can you come to our company at once?” She was amazed at the calmness of her voice while her heart thumped so hard in the stillness. “There’s been an accident. It’s Mr Harris. He seems to have fallen down the stairs and can’t move his leg.” Her voice trailed off and no further words of explanation would come. She heard the doctor’s answer as if it came from some immeasurable distance, but she knew that he had assured her that he would be there as soon as he could with the ambulance. She did not think that Gale was going to die, nor did she tell herself that he might be seriously injured, crippled perhaps for life. She felt numbed, but conscious, too, of having achieved something, a kind of victory which love could accept. If it was even the victory over her old bitterness, she believed that it would be enough. When the doctor arrived she was waiting beside the curiously wrapped figure on the ground, and the doctor and his help gave

  • The Bossy Billionaire   Chapter 73

“The debt is high,” Victor growled. “You never be able to pay such a huge amount of debt after what your sister has done. If only you two had done more for the company, things might have been a lot different.” The remark was hardly justified and Melvin knew it. Victor had never really considered them and his generosity with money had been largely to satisfy his ego. A show of affluence had always pleased him and it raised his prestige in Michigan. He had been quite never satisfied with his Money and he firmly believed, money was the only power, and it had been a great shock to him to find himself virtually without it. Melvin knew all these things about his father and he also knew that Victor had realised that signing the contract to sell his company had been foolish of him. Melvin had tried to retrieve it by directly approaching Gale without any success, so there was only one other way for it. He knew enough about the factory and had laid his plans carefully, and when he walked down
