I was running through the forest, screaming Lorcan’s name. But he was nowhere to be found. It was freezing, and I couldn’t find shelter, and nothing surrounding me looked familiar.
A presence behind me had me feeling that something terrible was about to happen. I had to get away from the monster chasing me; I needed to find my mate.
My heart ached as I called and called his name.
