“Listen, guys,” I lean forward in my seat. I took the back seat and let Katy ride up front with Harper. “Stop worrying so much. I can handle Lorcan.”

“You don’t understand,” Katy tells me. “Lorcan is going to skin us alive for taking you off pack territory.”

“I understand why you’re worried,”

“Do you?” Harper snaps while looking at me through the mirror. “Because I don’t think you do. You’ve been here a few weeks, and yet you have no real clue as to what Lorcan can be like. Everyone was told not to take you anywhere, and we did.”

I raise my eyebrow.

I don’t know what Lorcan’s like?

Regardless, I feel as though she’s blaming me for this. I know that Harper is scared, but this wasn’t my idea!
