***Cassandra's POV***

I sat at the head of a long table, surrounded by my pack's governing council. They were just a bunch of old fools, and some young select individuals, who are also fools.

I have dissolved and dissolved this council over and over again, but only fools have made the selection, and it just seems to me, that we are just like a big pack, made up of only fools, and no matter how many times, I dissolve the council I would still end up replacing them with fools…

I only decided to honor the meeting, because it's been a long time since I last attended a governing council meeting, and these fools have been on my neck, ever since. Can't they see that I'm trying to avoid them?

My piercing gaze swept over each member of the council, and I stared at them in a menacing manner. The air was thick with tension and I loved it.

They kept stealing glances at me, and I just kept staring menacingly at them. They were also looking blandly at themselves, muttering and mouthing inaudible wo

****AUTHOR'S POV****Some select members of the governing council of the Ridgewood pack sat in a dimly lit room, situated far away from the Alpha's chamber, with their faces etched with frustration and anger. They had gathered for an emergency meeting, and the topic of discussion was their Alpha, Cassandra Maximoff. They sat in a circle, their faces etched with fury and frustration. The air was thick with tension, and the silence was punctuated only by the sound of their heavy breathing. The brutal words that Alpha Cassandra spat at them, punctured their ego and left a scathing injury in their souls. And even though it all happened earlier in the day, her words still echoed in their minds. They had endured Cassandra, for the few years that she had been their Alpha, and had respected the fact that she was the Alpha. But now, altogether they were fed up with Cassandra's narcissism, her befuddling insults, and derogatory expressions targeted at them. "She's gone too far this time!" Elder

***MALIK'S POV***As the moon hung high in the sky, casting a silvery glow over the fallen Lourmarin village, I raced home with a heart full of passion and desire. My revenge has been exacted, and the little ones left alive will live to tell the tale of this eventful day, of how I single handedly wrecked damage on my friends who suddenly became my enemies. They will tell this tale to generations and generations yet to come, about the Legend of Alpha Malik, and the fallen french village of Lourmarin. But right now, as I raced with Melinda and Kieran back into the deep woods, where Calista and Meghan took abode, every tinge of bitterness, angst, and a sense of loss that previously besieged me, was now completely washed out of my whole being.Rather, my mind was consumed with the image of my beautiful mate, which I had from time to time, sketched in my mind. The thought of her alluring curves, her banging body, and her captivating gaze, which I feel in my mind whenever I'm around her, sh

Calista suddenly broke the kiss, she was panting heavily and gasping for breath. She reached for my stiff rod, and she ate it whole, gulping it all in her mouth. I moaned with delight, as she cupped it all, sucking it in with all her might. She ate me inside out; It was so good that I didn't know when I was literally yearning for the real deal.I grinned, with a fierce glint in my eyes, and after some minutes, I scooped her up in my arms.I carried her to a soft patch of grass, laying her down gently, and I lowered myself over her. She could feel the heat of my body seeping into hers, and it made her shiver with anticipation. My body also shook with desire, my mind clouded with the need to claim my mate. I growled low in my throat, as I positioned myself well. Then, I pushed into her slowly, my massive form filling her completely. Calista cried out, arching against me, as pleasure rippled through her.I entered her slowly, my body pressing down on hers, and I began to move, my stiff ch

  • The Blind Alpha   Where Do We Go From Here

"W-what did you just say…" I said nervously."Where do we go from here… That's what is said…" Melinda retorted, and the sentence hung in the air, heavy with meaning. "We are putting the past in the past, yeah. So, where are we gonna go from here? Are we just gonna stay in the woods forever, or are we gonna find another village to reside in…"My heart skipped a beat when I heard Melinda say 'Where do we go from here.' I remembered how my life had never been stable, how I was forced to revolve round in circles, how I had to go from Ridgewood pack to Lakewood pack all in a bid to seek asylum, and when my cover was blown, I had to run from there to the Mountains, and finally to Lourmarin. I remembered how many times my life flashed before my eyes, all the heightened hurdles I'd had to painstakingly cross, and I just didn't want my pups to go through that kind of struggle. I tilted my head to the back, and I was lost in thoughts. I was stuck at this point for some awkward minutes because,

I turned to the other traitor, Stylo, a lean and wiry werewolf with black fur. His eyes were flashing with intensity, and he was glaring at me with all the power left in his pale body. I moved closer to him, with a mocking smile on my face, and I playfully cupped his bloody chin. I didn't care if the blood would stain my hands, I just wanted to show these fools who the boss is. Stylo kept glaring at me, and he tried to release himself from my chokehold, but the wolfsbane and silver made him weak. I just chuckled hysterically, albeit squeezing the face of this helpless wolf, before finally leaving him alone. "Wow! You cheeky lots dare to challenge me…" I snarled, my fur bristling with anger. "I don't even know what this world is turning into. Small folks like y'all, will just wake up on a fateful day, and think you can just upturn me, upturn the hierarchy of this pack, just like that… JUST LIKE THAT, HUH" I growled, maniacally. In a couple of seconds, my calm countenance changed to a

  • The Blind Alpha   Darkening Procedure

***CALISTA'S POV****A FEW DAYS LATERMeghan dyed the tawny, golden hair of my pups to black. It was kinda, a long procedure, and it took us days to forage for the raw materials for the corrective procedure. When we finally found them all, Meghan began the hair-darkening procedure. She used henna, indigo, and black walnut hulls to darken their hair. She made the dyes into a paste and applied it to their hair, which was then wrapped in a cloth and left to sit for several hours. Meghan said, the longer the dye was left on the hair, the darker the color would be. So, we had no choice but to wait, biding our time in the deep woods, while we perfected Kieran's and Melinda's camouflage. After a long week, their hair became jet-black. It was beautiful, at least, just like mine. I didn't even know why we went the length to change the color of their hair to black when we were heading straight for the lion's den. Well, I reconciled that we might peradventure meet those bloody otherworldly Lion

The moon hung low and full in the sky as we approached the pack. The air was thick with the scent of pine needles, and the ground was soft and spongy underfoot. As I pushed my way through the undergrowth, I could hear the distant sounds of laughter and music, and I was curious as to why loud noises were oozing from the direction of the pack. The sound of distant howls also filled the air, making the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.We were flanked by the Phoenix pack warriors, who almost came to blows with Malik.Thankfully that warrior saved the day in the nick of time and averted any form of bloodshed. He was also by our side, leading us to his Alpha. The sight of spilled blood, decapitated warriors, and dead bodies always makes me sick in my stomach, and thankfully I didn't have to go through all that again. As we emerged from the trees, into the pack, my eyes widened in amazement. I saw what could only be described as a werewolf party. Dozens of them were gathered around

"Malik!!! Malik!!!" I yelled, trying to dissuade him from attacking the Lakewood warriors all by himself, but he wouldn't listen. I didn't want him to get hit again, but it seemed like he was utterly enraged, and nothing would stop him, from releasing all rage he had bottled up inside of him."Everyone, get into the pack, and burn it to the ground…" I could hear Menelik's voice faintly, from the distance, even amidst the heavy battle cries. "And Hammy. Finish her now!!!" He growled.Explosions ripped through the air at once, reverberating with a bone-shaking intensity, sending shockwaves through the pack. The deafening blasts echoed off the surrounding trees, creating an atmosphere of chaos and danger. The battle raged on, explosions continuing to rock the surroundings, I could still see arrows flying all over the place. And as I was still surveilling my surroundings, breathing haphazardly, an explosive was thrown, at where I stood, and I instinctively picked it up, and threw it back,

Malik and Melinda chose to be put in chains and cuffs, ready to be taken back to Alpha Menelik, against my wish, and I had no choice but to lead them out of the pack, to the battlefront. I walked behind them, as we neared Lakewood's pack camp outside our pack. There were several tents in their camp, but there was one big tent at the center, and I automatically assumed that that would be their Alpha tent. So we sauntered in that direction. And as we got closer to the tent, the Lakewood pack warriors trooped out of their tents, and the gazes of some, who were parading the pack, stretching as far as the eyes could see, shifted to us as we sauntered forwards. Some of them were jeering and making mocking gestures towards us, as we walked, but that didn't faze me one bit, I was only focused on the task at hand.A number of the Lakewood pack warriors formed a wall outside the big tent, with each of them wielding heavy metal weapons, pointing them in our direction."Stop there!!!" Ramsey and I were joined by the other Alphas in the bunker. The other Alphas made us know, that the Lakewood warriors had surrounded the pack, and they didn't give chase, nor did they pursue our own warriors into the pack as we retreated. The Lakewood warriors were only standing round, successfully putting the pack under siege. And that made me question their motive — because if the Lakewood warriors are truly here for battle, why can't they just waltz in, and finish the battle? Because it was crystal-clear that we were losing the war to the Lakewood pack, and it was glaring, even to the blind, that we were on the back foot, even in our own backyard.I was fed up and frustrated, and it scared me to the bone, to learn that the face of battle, that the face of warfare had evolved, beyond fists, claws, and fangs, to now explosives, and speedily moving silver bullets. The warriors reported, that with these new innovations, the Lakewood pack outmatched and outwitted them, annihilating and

Melinda, Ramsey, and I had escorted the young ones, and the women, who couldn't volunteer in the battle to safety. "Ok I'm going to join the warriors in battle…" Melinda let out a low growl, her eyes booming with intensity. "I have to go, even the scores…""No…" I boomed with authority, holding her by her hand. He had withstood vicious attacks and beatdown, from Menelik's puppets, all week long since he arrived at Lakewood pack. They didn't stop the assault for a minute, save for the occasional moments, they'd stop to force some food and water down Malik's throat. Malik often rejected the food, and sometimes he'd try to summon his fangs to stop the warriors, but the warriors had to find a way to boycott Malik's defense.
