"Ashton, always on time to bully me I see" Chelsea said with a mock hurt voice making Olive roll her eyes at her best friends drama. She kissed Ashton on his beautifully carved jawline and Chelsea couldn't help but be pleased with the fact that these two gorgeous people were her best friend and cousin.

Ash had fluffy black hair and deep blue eyes that carried on to his form as a werewolf, a smile that could kill off the school's female population and a personality that could make anyone fall in love with him. Olive on the other hand, had straight blonde hair, a heart shaped face, hazel eyes, a smile that lit up any room she walked into and a personality that was sweet, so sweet that Chelsea sometimes wondered in her head if Olive really was that sweet or she was just manipulating everyone around her. Chelsea snapped out of her thoughts and saw the couple being all lovey-dovey.

"Okay, okay stop it with the PDA" she said while giggling at the the embarrassed blush on Olive's face. "Come on we can't be late, Desiree promised to give us a special if we get to the lounge early" Ashton said bringing the atmosphere back to normal. "Can't believe I almost forgot about that" Olive moaned while being dragged by Chelsea who instantly forgets anything when food is mentioned.

Meanwhile,

With Eva and Jessie,

Eva finally drove into the driveway of their new home after asking for directions from sprites and almost getting lost. Luckily, a kind elf pointed them in the right direction. After getting out of the car, Jessie let out an exhausted sigh. "I know all I did was sit in a car all day but I feel absolutely drained" Eva opened the door." I feel you Jess, but we need to set up at least the bedrooms and the kitchen before we rest" she looked around at the house grateful that the mess was minimal due to her asking the agent to call over some cleaners.

Eva flicked her wrist to let their stuff float into the house then picked up her phone and dialed a number. "Hello am I speaking with Mrs. Lane... Yes I was wondering if you were available for a job. You see I just moved into town and my house needs a lot of sprucing up but I don't know where to start... Yes I got your number from Yolanda, she was my agent... When can you come over? This weekend... Okay that works. The furniture is scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning... "

Jessie folded her arms and leaned on the kitchen counter and was scrolling through her phone waiting for her mom to end her conversation. Boxes and suitcases were still floating through the door before being gently placed on the ground.

She was so lost in her I*******m feed that he didn't know when her mom finished her phone call and so scared herself silly when her mom laughed at a funny video on her phone. "Mom! You almost gave me a heart attack" she said dramatically. "That's what you get for being too invested in your cell phone" Eva sing-songed.

"Come on, let's get cleaning" Eva handed her daughter a broom. Jess groaned. "What's the point of having magic if you can't use it for thing like this" she grumbled. Eva rolled her eyes at her daughters allergy to anything chore-related.

"Did you forget that a new house has to be cleaned by hand before one brings in furniture to keep the bad spirits away" Eva reminded Jessie as she flicked her forehead with her index finger. Jessie blushed because she had indeed forgotten.

"So therefore take thy broom and join me on this wonderful cleansing adventure" Eva said dramatically making Jessie break out in giggles.

She grabbed her mother's hand like the absolute child she was. "We shall begin our quest with the bedrooms" she ordered and proceeded to drag her up the stairs.

At Desiree's Lounge.

Olive, Ashton and Chelsea were having the time of their lives binging themselves on Desiree's Sundae special. "I'm so full I can't move" Chelsea groaned as she took the last spoon of her sundae and put it in her mouth.

"That's what you get for being a greedy little pig" Ashton snorted at his cousin pulling her cheek lightly. With the way she ate it was a miracle she wasn't obese. "How do you even fit all that into your tiny body?" and he was right to wonder because at 5'6, she was skinny like a model, her angular face, big brown eyes full of expression, blond hair and freckles made her look extremely childlike.

"Olly your boyfriend is bullying me, do something about it" Chelsea whined and pouted shamelessly blinking her eyes at her best friend. Her expression made it that even Olive was tempted to bully her bestie.

"Oh I don't know about that, is it really bullying when he's right?" she giggled as her best friend looked at her in mock horror.

"Olly" Chelsea gasped like a maiden who saw something scandalous "Did you just choose your boyfriend before me, your bestie and the love of your life?" she was like a lady who caught her plover cheating and the lover instead of apologizing was choosing the mistress over her.

"It's over! I've lost my best friend to the abyss that is love" she wailed dramatically drawing stares and laughter from the people around them. However, no one was worried because they were all used to the trio's antics.

A phone ringing interrupted Chelsea who was about to go on a diatribe on love and its evil effects and how it tore best friends apart. Ashton picked up his phone and answered the call. It was his mom. "Hi mom... Yeah she's with me... Okay, sure" The call ended and Ashton turned to his cousin

"Your mom wants you home for dinner, apparently her calls to you haven't been going through" he reported making Chelsea pick her phone from her backpack and looked through her phone. There were four missed call, three from her mother and one from her father.

"Okay, I need to get home pronto. If I don't, I might be out of a home and disowned" she grabbed her bag, gave Ashton a hug and Olive a kiss on the cheek. She waved goodbye and ran out the door.

After Chelsea left it didn't take long for Olive's mom to call her too and ask her home. She said her goodbyes to Ashton, who hailed a cab for her and kissed her goodnight.

Lane Residence,

"Mom, I'm home!" Olive took off her shoes and put on her fluffy indoor slippers. Rosabella came out from the kitchen with a bowl in her hand. The heavenly smell of cookies baking in the oven wafted out from the kitchen.

"That smells so good" she moaned and went to greet her mom with a kiss on the cheek. "You spoil me way too much mom" her voice was soft and full of appreciation to the woman who raised her all by herself and never once let her see the toll it took on her(Rosabella) until she(Olive) was old enough to bear her(Olive) own responsibilities.

"Of course I do, if I don't spoil you, who will?" Rosabella replied her daughter and smacked the finger that was quietly making its way into the bowl of cookie dough. "Go up, wash your hands and take a shower while I put this batch in the oven". She moved to the kitchen while Olive went to her bedroom to freshen up.

In 30 minutes, Olive had taken a shower and had changed into a long tee and baggy trousers. With a brush running through her hair haphazardly through her hair she sprinted down the stairs and into the kitchen. Her mom was just placing the now warm cookies into a bowl. "That was fast. Didn't think you could freshen up that quickly" Rosabella was surprised seeing as Olive usually spent at least an hour in the bathroom on Friday evenings.

"I just have three words. Chocolate. Chip. Cookies." Her deadpan voice made Rosabella snort. Her daughter's love for chocolate chip cookies was like the love fish have for water. Olive tried once again to sneak a cookie away and was rewarded with a smack on her hand with the spatula.

"Mom! How could you be so cruel to me" Olive whimpered and looked at her mom with pitiful eyes but Rosabella wasn't buying it.

"I'll be even more cruel if you try to steal my cookies again" she said to her daughter in feigned harshness, making the daughter snort this time around.

"Seriously though mom, I'm starv... "Olive was interrupted by her own stomach's grumbling. The sound loud enough to be heard by her mother burst into a laughing fit by the counter where she stood. She laughed so much that she got the hiccups.

"Didn't you have lunch and a pre-dinner snack at Desiree's Lounge?" she asked in-between hiccups as she grabbed a glass from the cabinet and tuned on the tap so she could get a drink of water.

"Yeah, but I really only ate one sandwich and had two medium sundaes" she replied as her mom downed the glass of water and effectively cured her hiccups." That's not nearly as much as I eat at home " she rolled her eyes goodnaturedly.

Once they were done, Rosabella finally served dinner which was Mac and Cheese. They decided to eat in the kitchen and once they were done Rosabella finally let Olive put her hand in the cookie bowl, letting her take it to the living room for some post dinner entertainment. As Olive took the bowl to the living room, Rosabella poured the both of them a glass of soda and while she was alone, she did something extremely strange. She took out a vial from her pocket and pored it's contents into the glass meant for Olive. The red liquid fizzled and glowed ominously before fading and integrating with the transparent liquid. The smirk on her face was ever so discomforting. As she heard Olive's footsteps, she wiped the smile of her face and grabbed both glasses. The minute she turned around and took a step, Olive came into the kitchen a smile on her face. Rosabella handed her the glass with the liquid mixed in. "Here you go, have you set up the movie?" She questioned in order to distract Olive

"Olive, don't you ever think of yourself as a burden to me, do you understand? You can never be anything but a blessing" Rosabella's words made Olive teary eyed once again. "How long have you been having nightmares?" her concern obvious." For about a two months now" was Olive's reply making Rosabella suck in a deep breath. This was impossible. If Olive had been having nightmares, why hadn't she noticed? How had she hidden it from her? "How and why did you hide this for me?" the question made a chill go down Olive's spine. This was it, her mom was going to murder her for keeping it a secret for so long."I... It... I used a silence rune" she finally spit out. "It's carved into my bedposts. Every night after you leave and before I fall asleep I activate it so my bed becomes insulated and noise can't escape from it even though noise can come in."If it was at any other time and with any other person, they would have been proud that their child had been able to use such a common thing

Jessie went to the door and opened it. Standing in front of her, was a woman the same age as her mother with blond hair that looked so shiny she became jealous and eyes green like an apple. "Are you Mrs. Ross who spoke with me on the phone?" The beautiful woman questioned, her voice crisp and clear but also elegant and refined. Jessie quickly refuted the statement and welcomed the guest in. "This is the Mrs. Ross you spoke with, she is my mother" she pointed at her mother who walked towards her guest. "Hello, my name is Eva Ross, you can call me Eva or Mrs. Ross,I don't really care." she introduced while stretching her hand out for a handshake. "You can call me Rosabella or Mrs. Lane, then, whatever suits your fancy" Rosabella took the hand and reintroduced herself in return. She then took a look at the house she was to decorate. She was impressed with the furniture arrangements. "I have to admit you did a terrific job with the furniture. I might even say you've lessened my work

And so Olive, Chelsea, and the less talkative Rosie spent the day watching one Disney movie to another. Rosie and Olive were having the time of their lives, Chelsea, however, was still stuck on how her friend had so casually used wordless magic. It wasn't that she was sad or mad her friend could, she was rather worried because witches at her age could not activate their ability to use wordless magic until after their Coming of Age Ceremony. She didn't think Olive even noticed it, meaning that she had been doing so for a long time. She kept ruminating on this all through Frozen 1 and 2. It took Olive asking her friend to refill their chips stock for Olive to recognize that her friend was in deep thought. Dragging her friend to the kitchen, Olive started another round of questioning."Are you okay? What's wrong? " Her worried tone while asking the questions made Chelsea feel bad for worrying her friend so she decided to tell her the truth."Nothing's wrong, I was just surprised at how e

Dinner was a fine meal of Spaghetti and meatballs. In order to cater to Rosie's childish senses, there were also Dino nuggets. Rosabella was interested in how they spent the entire day, which Rosie was very happy to share."We watched Frozen and Captain America and Captain Marvel and Thor and Avengers and The Black Panther... " and so Rosie began to list every movie they had watched, everyone cooed at how cute she was."That's right, mom how was the client? "Olive asked as Rosie decided to focus on her Dino Nuggets. Rosabella was in the process of eating a forkful of spaghetti so she put it in her mouth and drank some water to wash it down."It was great. Luckily for me, this customer knew what she wanted and didn't make any outrageous demands like others tend to do. And to make things even better she already had a great majority of the furniture arranged before I got there. Honestly, it was the easiest job I've had in a while." And Rosabella wasn't lying, she did have fun working wit

After Rosabella had taken Olive home, Chelsea went looking for Ashton. Since he lost his phone, it was hard to contact him and no one knew where he was. She searched for over three hours before finally finding him at the little enclave they had discovered when they were eleven.Ashton had decorated the place with flowers and candles, he looked despondent and helpless. On hearing footsteps, he looked up a smile forming on his face. The smile, however, had yet to mature when it fell. He looked behind Chelsea, waiting for Olive to walk in and when she didn't after a few seconds, he got up. "What happened? Where's Olive? Why did she bail?" "Ow!" Olive let out a yelp almost crushing Chelsea's fingers from where she was holding it. The smell of her pain punched Chelsea in the gut. It was sour. More sour than the grapes she had last week as part of her dare. Chelsea could only squeeze back, hoping the gesture was enough to comfort her friend. After a while, her scent shifted from sour to stale telling Chelsea that she was no longer in a lot of pain but was still uncomfortable. "Hey Olly?" She tentatively called out. "Yeah Chelsea?" Was the response. "Do you think you'll be okay if I go grab us something from the cafeteria?" "Yeah. Sure." And with a smile Chelsea was sent off leaving Olive alone with nurse Winn. Ten minutes later, Chelsea still wasn't back from the cafeteria and Olive was progressively getting sleepier which was odd as she could never fall asleep in any sort of medical space because of her psy experience. Trying to fight the sands of Morpheus and failing woefully, Olive

Jessie woke up Monday morning and for some reason, she felt off and her magic wasn't afraid to show it. It started with how she almost tripped because of a pillow that appeared out of nowhere on her way to the bathroom, then her magic setting the water too high and almost burning her skin off, then nicking herself with a knife with her magic bending the knife in her anger and finally, checking her bag before realizing her homework was on her reading table in homeroom.Banging her head on the desk, she attracted the stares of everyone and worried looks from her friends."Hey, what's wrong?" Olive asked softly in order to not be caught by the teacher. Jessie raised her head revealing her eyes that had gone red from frustration."Today has been the absolute worst. It's been one horrible moment to the other." Jessie whined.
