Chapter 18: The Boy With A Seafaring HeartAlain's Bedchambers, The Duchene Estate, Leighton, England, (1762)... Finely even brush strokes commanded the attention of Alain Remington as he found himself once more before what had once been a blank canvas before his arrival after parting from Noreen at the old grove. No one had noticed his arrival as he'd gotten particularly good at slipping into and out of the manor unnoticed. One would possibly surmise that he'd been as good as Casimir at getting in and out without drawing unwanted attention. He had no doubt that his parents would be worried if they knew about his unseemly acts beneath the old grove but he was a man in his own right and didn't need their constant hovering. As protective as they were, he didn't feel it was particularly fair that Casimir had been bedding women of all ages at just fourteen and he was left to his own devices the moment it came to light. Meanwhile, his parents continued to monitor him and every interact
Chapter 19: The Upcoming Tides Of Change The Lobkney Docks, Boylsten, England, (1762)... Chilled winds wafted in from a murky sea and the stench of rancid garbage and the salty sea air was quite abundant as Alain made his way toward the Lobkney Docks on the south end of Bolysten. It was a seedy place and it was interesting that Noreen opted to meet him in such a place. He nearly lost himself in the onset of sea fog but navigated it in time to find her standing at the end of the docks with what appeared to have been a lot on her mind. He didn't know much about her background before their love affair took place but he was willing to listen to whatever she had to say if they were meeting in such a public location. Noreen seemed a bit sad but quickly wiped away her tears as she rushed over to him throwing her arms around his neck and treating him to a series of seemingly desperate kisses. "Are you alright Love?" asked Alain with a good deal of concern in his tone. "I'm fine," re
Chapter 20: Relishing Stolen Moments Old Wood Tavern, Boylsten, England, (1762)... Upon entry into the strange tavern after following the eerie glow of the lamp through the fog, Alain found himself quite uncomfortable due to not having any experience in surroundings such as this. It was the kind of place we're not even Casimir, in his bold and daring aspect of carefree living did not dare venture and as a result, it worried the newly arrived lad. They were the only ones to enter so early in the day it seemed and it only served to make Alain all the more nervous as he stood behind Noreen who seemed content with the fact that they were the only people to arrive for the time being. The lone old man with a gruff expression and a black eye patch across his right eye seemed poised as they entered the door. His good eye, which had been a deep brown was focused intently on the young lad and his rather fancy blue coat. Alain's only concern was for the well-being of his lady and her su
Chapter 21: A Round Of Much Needed Retribution The Duchene Estate, Leighton, England, (1762)... More than a week had passed since that most peculiar day Noreen had asked Alain to meet her at the docks and they ended up sharing a bed at a local tavern. Alain could not get over the dirty looks he received when he exited after spending more than a few hours with Noreen. He could never tell if it was because he was of noble standing or if it was the act everyone had perceived he'd been up to that made them all dislike him. Noreen seemed to pay them all no mind as she escorted him from the docks and back to the areas where he'd been accustomed to traveling. Alain saw his way to stealing another series of kisses before she parted going on her way as she had so many times before as he ventured back toward home. Before parting she insisted they meet at the old grove before he was scheduled to depart as it was her favorite place for their encounters. He didn't tell her that he thought t
Chapter 22: Hopeless In Need The Old Grove, Meeting Place, Leighton, England (1762)... Eager hands trailed along the firm and ample backside of one Noreen McCray as Alain lifted her off the ground while they exchanged a series of heated and desperate kisses. She had managed to get him out of his coat and shirt which littered the ground amid the flower beds and was well on her way to working on undoing his trousers when he snatched her up with strength she didn't even know he possessed and pulled her onto his lap. He'd done a rather good job of getting her out of her knickers and impressively undid her bodice in record time as her supple breasts bounced into full view once they were freed. The heavy breathing between them was the only sound aside from the swaying branches of the old grove in the background via the onset of a small breeze and their pounding hearts in anticipation of the act they so longed for continued to mount. It was well understood that Alain's seafaring voyag
Chapter 23: The Well Wishes Of A Maiden The Laurel, Merchant Ship, Leighton Shipping Docks, Leighton, England (1762)... It was one thing to stand about the docks and view the ships from the eyes of a five-year-old boy whose view of the world consisted of romanticized stories of seafaring and adventure, but it was another to be a young man of legal age and standing on board a merchant shipping vessel in person. Alain Remington found himself at a loss for words as his inquisitive hazel eyes took in the magnificent sight that was The Laurel. His father was moving about the dock making preparations, checking and rechecking supplies, shipping manifests, and crew members. While Lady Alana had not liked the idea of her youngest son taking a voyage across the sea she knew that he was safer by all accounts with his father by his side instead of stowing away on some cargo ship just because she denied him the right to pursue his dream. She managed to meet them at the docks to offer her far
Chapter 24: Reflection On Open Waters Upper Deck, The Laurel, Open Water... The salty sea air was in abundance as Alain and his father stood on the deck with Captain Davys who seemed to be taking in the clean air like it was in short supply for a few minutes. The old captain barked orders at the crew to set to work from their various positions and took a few moments to eye the inquisitive-looking Alain. He found it odd that the young noble had not been in the least uncomfortable due to the rocking of the boat from the intense waves that beat against the hull. Alain didn't seem to mind the whispers that went on about him from the younger boys and the older sailors. He was possibly a sight to them, young and wealthy, not to mention the assumptions that came along with his current style of dress. Truth be told, he had been more than prepared for this journey, as it was something he'd been looking forward to since he was a mere boy. He'd done the training and studying since he co
Chapter 25: A Bit Of Fatherly Advice Upper Deck, The Laurel, Open Water... Nearly one week had passed ever since the seafaring voyage had begun and it was looking to have been quite an impressive journey as it were. Sir Alfred had been astonished to note how well his young son had been fairing while they were at the mercy of the ever-fickle waters of the deep. If he had not known any better he would have taken him for the progeny of a true sailor as he needed little to no adjustment when it came to being far from shore. For young Alain seemed ever the curious lad eager to learn and be taught at once. He'd been even more willing to deal with the constant jeering and insults the crew of commoners happened to heap upon him whenever they believed their words were not in earshot. They took him for a nave of course. He'd been the picture of wealth and privilege being born into the ranks of a prominent family of noble status. The crewmen had not taken too kindly to one such as him
