A frustrating day.

CHAPTER THIRTY EIGHT

SALLY

It was stressful for me to work on all the documents pilled up for me. Thankfully, I was able to clear them before going for lunch.

I didn't want to eat lunch alone, so I decided to call on Alicia. Getting to her office, she was absent.

"Oops!" I slapped my head after remembering that I had made her an investigator.

I walked alone to the canteen. I was too tired to eat out, especially since I would be eating alone, so I decided to join my workers at the company's small canteen.

I walked to the counter and stood on the line alongside the other employees.

"Ma'am."

I turned around and saw Mary. She was standing behind me with a smile.

"Why are you here?" She asked me, still smiling.

"Waitong for my turn, so I could get food," I replied gently.

"Even myself, I don't do this. I just walk over to the counter, ignoring the line. All I need to do is tell them Sally sent me, and they'd serve me immediately. "

I giggled.

"Even when Sally is innocent?" I asked
