Amelia froze, her heart skipping a beat at the unexpected question.

"Uh, well, yes," she stammered. "My mother had an attack, and I had to come back."

Nanny Grace looked at Amelia with a knowing expression, as if sensing that there was more to the story. "I see," she said slowly. "And how is your mother doing now?"

Amelia relaxed slightly at the change of subject. "Oh, she's fine. She's back to her old self again."

Feeling a little more at ease now that the topic had shifted away from her awkward encounter with Lila.

Nanny Grace smiled warmly. "That's good to hear, my dear. But tell me, Amelia, is that the only reason you left Turkey? Or did you feel uncomfortable with Lila's presence?"

Amelia hesitated for a moment before answering, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I... I don't know. I guess I did feel uncomfortable. It was just... strange, seeing Andrew with someone he had been so close to. After treating me like I don't exist."

Nanny Grace nodded, seeming to understand. "I see.
