Caught in the act
Luisa's POV I met a young lady sitting behind the receptionist's desk by the time I arrived at the company. She wasn't the same person I often see. "Welcome, young lady. How can I help you?" She asked with a smile, her tone polite and firm. "Is Mr. Sanchez in? I came to see him" I replied. She sized me up and inquired. "Do you have an appointment with him or is he expecting you?" "No, he isn't" I replied, taking a deep breath. "You know, this isn't the first time I'm coming here to see him. I'm his fiancee." Her mouth widened in disbelief as she stared at me in shock. "You're Luisa Fernanda, the model and TV personality everyone's talking about" She gasped in shock, giggling in excitement. "I'm so sorry. I didn't recognize you because of your sunglasses. You're welcome... We...." "Can I see him now?" I asked, cutting her off. She nodded her head vigorously. "Definitely. I'm sorry for wasting your time. I'm sure you know where his office is or would you like me to show you the way?" "No, it's fine. I can vividly remember the way" I replied with a dismissive wave of my hand. I strutted into the elevator and pressed the button to the third floor. As it moved, my mind drifted back to my manager's words. I met Diego in college. I didn't like him at first, but he was so persistent that I had to give in. He knew about my sister's death but never held it against me. I wouldn't deny the fact that I also fell into depression, but Diego was there for me during that period. I fell deeply in love with him. Yes, my social status was higher than his, but it didn't matter. I felt he loved me but couldn't take our relationship to the next level, so I made the bold decision to take the first step. Guess what? I proposed to him on Valentine's Day; a very funny move, but he said yes. To confirm Mr. Torres' words, I also bought two tickets to the Maldives. We spent a whole month there, but ever since we came back, Diego kept claiming to be busy with work. That was the main reason why I decided to make this visit a surprise. The elevator finally stopped and opened, I walked out and headed straight to Diego's office with a bright smile on my face. I was so eager to knock but stopped when I heard hush voices coming from inside. "You don't love her, do you?" A female voice asked. "No, I don't. I love only you" A male voice replied. That male voice sounded so familiar that I couldn't help but shudder in fear. It wasn't what I was thinking. No, it was impossible. Maybe they were talking about something else or I was just hearing voices. Well, the only way to confirm was to go in. I didn't bother knocking again, I simply twisted the doorknob slightly and walked in. "Diego" I stood by the door of the office as I whispered his name. He didn't hear me. I mean, how could he? He was right there, kissing a woman lustfully. Not just any woman, but his assistant; the same lady I warned him about. They kissed passionately, their moans were so loud that my eardrums vibrated strongly. I felt a pang of anger and pain as I stared at them. I couldn't watch the heartbreaking sight anymore. "Diego!" I screamed out in anguish, and the two of them froze. The moment they saw me, they separated with the slutty assistant hiding behind my fiancé's back. "How dare you?" I yelled at the top of my lungs. The cheat quickly buttoned up his shirt, oblivious to the red lipgloss stain on it. "I promise you, Luisa. It does not want it looks like" He said as he rushed to me and grabbed my shoulders, but I wasn't having it. I retaliated with a wicked slap; the sound resonating through the room. "What then does it look like? I caught you having an affair with your assistant, and you tell me it's not what it looks like" I cried out, breaking down in tears. "Who do you think I am? A fool?" "Calm down, Luisa. I can explain" Gabriel pleaded, holding his cheek in pain. He turned to his assistant and pointed fingers at her, saying, "It was Joyce. She seduced me." "That's a big lie" Joyce shot back. "We've been together for over a month now. You called me in here yourself. Besides, you said you didn't love her anymore so the blame is on you." "What?!" I gasped in shock, breathing heavily as tears streamed down my face. "You've been cheating on me for over a month?" Diego avoided my gaze. "I'm sorry, I...." "Where's the engagement ring I gave to you?" I berated him, my eyes darting to his ring finger. To my dismay, it was bare. "I think I dropped it somewhere" Gabriel replied. "Please, you can't end our relationship. You still love me. You want to marry me." Hearing those selfish words made me weak in the knees. Those words meant I was the only obsessed one all these times. I fell on my knees, crying profusely. Instantly, I felt a sharp pain in my leg and squatted immediately. There it was, lying on the floor, the ring I had poured my heart and soul into. With trembling hands, I picked it up and rose on my feet, my heart turned cold. It was my fault for believing he loved me. I should have known better. With one last glance at the two traitors, I swiftly turned and stormed out of the office. I didn't even know when I started running. Memories of my sister drowning in that pool flooded my mind, fueling the excruciating pain in my heart. I kept on running on the highway until I bumped into something hard that sent me tumbling back until I fell on my butt. "Ouch!" I screamed out in pain. Suddenly, a large figure blocked the rays of the sun blinding my eyes. I opened my eyes clearly, only to be stunned by the gorgeous-looking man looking down at me. "Are you okay?" He asked with an angelic voice, and my heart fluttered. He extended his hands to me, and I felt the urge to take it. But, instantly, the scene of Deigo kissing his assistant flashed through my mind and I swatted his hands away. "Don't come close to me" I yelled.HopelessValerie's POVMy eyes shot open, and my chest heaved. Sweat beads trickled down my face as I tried to recall the details of the nightmare.Wait. Was it even a nightmare?"Oh, the princess is awake, huh?" A male voice whispered, his voice laced with mockery. At that moment, my senses woke up and my sharp gaze settled on the two men standing...No, they weren't standing. They were obviously kneeling before me. The two of them were shirtless, revealing the snake-like tattoos on their bodies. The one who spoke was blonde haired with grey eyes and a slender physique, while the second one had black hair with a touch of grey on it. His brown eyes was filled with mix of disdain and lewdness. His sturdy build was the most scary thing. What the hell was I doing with them?"Who are you guys? Where am I?" I questioned, my voice hoarse. A sharp pain shot through my head as I tried to put together the scattered pieces of images in my head. I couldn't help but wince in pain."Oh, she has a b
DisappearanceAdrian's POV"Tch... You bitch" I cursed, almost biting my tongue.I couldn't understand how we managed to bump into her without getting a warning from James.I shifted my gaze to Miguel. "What did he say?"Miguel shook his head slowly. "Nothing. He isn't responding.""If you're talking about the friend you left outside, he's probably dead by now" I heard Valerie say, and my blood boiled in anger."What do you mean?" I snapped.Valerie snickered. "Exactly what you heard. I already made plans just in case Jude and the waitress messed up. My men would have ambushed him by now. Now, back to our discussion. I have my terms and conditions."I frowned with a disturbance in my heart. "What terms?"Valerie smiled. "It's simple. You ditch that kitten, we get back together and you announce it to the world. Also, you help me get my company back."I was stupefied. "You're insane!" I snarled."I know" Valerie retorted. "Do you agree with my terms and conditions or are you going to re
TwistValerie's POVFlashback......"I hope that dirty waitress does her job perfectly well" I snorted, eyeing Levi suspiciously. I was still yet to understand why he decided to stick around after stating clearly that he wanted nothing to do with us anymore."She will" I heard Jude say. "She knows the consequences of failing.""Good," I stated, my eyes fluttering around the room we were in as I marveled at the scent of luxury. "How could she even afford this kind of suite in a club?"Jude chuckled. "She's the club owner's favorite and his bed warmer. What more can we expect?"She was already enjoying her boss, but it seemed her greed was insatiable. I mean, why else would she agree to my proposal?I laughed, shooking the thought of it off my mind. It was her business anyway. My only concern was to get what I wanted without mistakes."Good riddance" I smiled. "How many rooms do we have here?""Two" Jude replied curtly. "We've already prepared one for the mission. You can use the other
A Bomb DetonatorAdrian's POV"Don't forget we had a deal" Jude chipped in, glaring hard at the young lady. "One word from you, and you'll be dead."I smirked, studying her body response. "He's surrounded; he can't touch you. His words are just empty threats. Tell me the truth and I'll have you protected by my men till everything is over."The overwhelmed lady broke down in tears, her body trembling. "I... I.... don't know" She stuttered, falling to her knees.Javier was getting impatient. He walked up to her and cocked his gun, pointing it to her head. "You don't what?" He snapped. "Don't even try to scream or you'll be meeting your maker the second you do."The lady covered her mouth with her right hand, breathing heavily. Her body was drenched in sweat, and her skin was burning hot."Speak!" Javier barked, and the lady whimpered."I'll tell you" She stated. "But you have to promise to let me go. I'll pretend like nothing ever happened."I burst into laughter, stunned by her confid
The SearchAdrian's POV"She switched dresses with her" Javier stated the obvious, infuriating me further.I banged my fist against the wall, letting my anger control me. The next thing I did was to land a punch on the wall mirror, shattering it into pieces. I ignored the blood dripping from my knuckles and landed another blow on the next mirror."That's enough, Adrian. This is not the best way to solve this" Javier warned sternly. But I was too livid to listen. I swiftly threw a punch at him, but fortunately, he dodged. I didn't have enough time to withdraw my fist before he grabbed it and threw me a punch in the face."Get yourself together, man" He shouted in anger.I grabbed the sink and leaned on it for support."Shut the fuck up!" I cursed, spitting out blood. "I can't even find her. Who knows what they've done to her? How do I face her after this?""You're overwhelmed, Bro. I've never seen you like this" Javier revealed soberly. "You're forgetting it's a live video. They haven'
ImpersonationAdrian's POV"Where the hell is she?" I cursed silently, looking out for Luisa and the man she danced with. I couldn't believe my carefully mapped out plan to make sure she danced with someone we were familiar with failed woefully. As I searched for her, something kept tugging at my heart - the image of a lady behind a cat-like mask. The lady I danced with. We didn't exchange a word, but her smile kept me troubled.Who exactly was she?I felt a light tap on my shoulder, making me turn swiftly, on high alert."Chill, bro. It's me" Javier whispered. "I'm sorry that happened. I've checked everywhere but I can't seem to find her.""Tch..." I clenched my fist in anger. "What about the man she danced with?""Also nowhere to be found" Javier replied with a solemn voice.Instantly, my eyes caught sight of a familiar silhouette, dressed the same way I last saw her."Wow!" Javier exclaimed, staring at her. "Where did she go?"I ignored him, walking up to her. I grabbed her tiny ha
