69: The Last Stand: Fight For Survival

Allison's POV.

The way she was holding that syringe, the way she kept glancing at me with a forced smile, made my stomach churn.

I squinted at the syringe she held up, and my heart sank. I recognized the type of syringe and its contents. It was a syringe filled with a potent poison known as ‘Cyanide-30.’ My breath quickened.

“Please, just relax,” the nurse continued, her voice still sweet and calm. “This will help you feel better.”

I was weak from the earlier medication and my injuries, but I knew I had to act. With as much strength as I could muster, I tried to push the trolley away. The nurse’s smile never wavered, but her eyes narrowed slightly.

“Let’s make this easy,” she said, her tone turning colder. She turned away to refill the syringe with another vial, but I saw my chance. I pushed against her, trying to dislodge her from her task.

“Stop it!” I shouted, though my voice was hoarse. I grabbed at her arm, but she quickly maneuvered the trolley to block me. Her expression harde
