I tried to focus on the meeting, but the sharp edge of the conference room felt dull compared to the things in my mind.

My team was discussing the upcoming merger—an important deal that could shift the company's trajectory—but my thoughts kept drifting to Allison. The room was filled with business talk, but it was like background noise to the intense replay of last night.

Jonathan, my PA, was speaking about the final adjustments needed for the merger presentation. I could see his lips moving, but all I could think about was how Allison had felt beneath me, her breath hot and fast against my skin.

The way she moved on top of me, how she held me with such urgency, as if it was the last thing she’d ever need. It was an emotional storm—one moment I was holding her, the next, her words cut through me like a blade.
