Days flew by and the chosen time for the employees' event to hold was here.

I was already looking forward to a day I and Chase could relax.

Chase was powerful. I knew this but even the most powerful elephant can be ravaged by a million ants.

No one was all-powerful. Only God can satisfy those conditions.

Chase was still mortal.

Since he came back, he was just focused on stabilizing the Steel Cell Group.

These past few days, our only way of hanging out with each other was through the phone. It was always through texts and video calls.

Although I was working with him, there wasn't any space to just be alone with each other. I was the person that was closest to him but we were behaving like we were strangers that was poles apart.

His work was really tedious.

I did not want to disturb him so I bottled all my grievances inside me. This is the reason why I was looking forward to this outing very much.

I would not be working and I would be able to spend quality time with my boyfriend.
