Trinity’s POV As I came out of the dressing room, I saw a few people, both workers and patients rushing towards the exit of the hospital and I stopped to know what was going on. At first, I thought it was a fire outbreak, but I didn’t hear the fire alarm and people were still using the elevator, so I decided to ask the next person I saw. It was one of the janitors, so I stopped her and asked, “what’s going on?” “It’s the chairman’s son and a woman… according to what I heard.” She brushed past me immediately and I followed her. Rodri and a woman? Was it Vanessa or her beggar mother? I was very unsettled as different thoughts passed through my already stressed head. When I got there, what was unbelievable to me was seeing Blossom in front of Rodri. What in the name of fucks? I removed the doctor’s uniform I had on and threw it on the ground. I hid myself in the semi crowd that had gathered around them, and almost everyone was taking videos, so who was I not to join them? I
Rodri’s POV As soon as I got to the hospital, I tried to open the car door, but my hands were shaking profusely. This was a very bad omen, I’ve never been the one to believe in omens, but this thing happening to me right now was scary. “Dear God please don’t let her die… and protect our baby too.” I said a prayer for the first time since the accident I had with my mom. Speaking of the accident, this was exactly how I felt on the day of the accident. The mere thought of that sent chills running down my spine. The door opened and I saw Richard, the driver that drove me here standing by the door. “Thank you.” I said and stepped out. “Hello handsome, can I get a moment?” A lady standing on my way asked. I snubbed her, without bothering to know who she was. I had better things to worry my head over than some cheap sluts throwing themselves at men. “Rodri Darnell, can I have a word with you?” The lady rushed to my front and held my hand. I looked at her face and realized
Rodri’s POV Father soon got to the hospital and came to me in the room I was sitting helplessly, “father.” I called him as relief washed over me.” Only to see that mom was with him. “Why did you come with mom, she’s not strong enough.” I complained. “Says who?” Mom asked. As she pulled me into her arms and crushed me in her warm embrace. This was why I missed my mother those years she was in coma, her support was next to none. “Who are you young lady?” Father’s voice brought me back to reality, as he questioned Vanessa’s friend. “I… I…” She stuttered with a confused look on her face. “She’s Vanessa’s best friend, I met her here with Vanessa.” I replied on her behalf. “Her friend..” father dragged the last part and sighed, while Vanessa’s friend nodded in response. “Please sit father.” I touched the empty bed, “and you too mother.” I helped her sit. “For how long have you known? You?” Father asked her. “I… she…” she stuttered in confusion. “I met Vanessa telling
Trinity's Pov As badly as I wanted to get a front view of the action, there wasn't much I could do. Not only was I currently not an active nurse at the hospital, I was most likely on Rodri's wanted list. I couldn't risk exposure just because my anxiety was spiking. The two nurses that had gotten off the elevator with me, quickly scampered off towards the room. Let her be dead, lord, I quickly said a quick prayer in my head. Vanessa's death would do me way too much good with the obvious crisis I was in. My excitement soon gave way for confusion. I heard footsteps rushing towards where we were and as I had expected, I saw two doctors emerge in a hasty manner. Another nurse rushed after them with a stretcher and a few minutes later, Vanessa was wheeled into the hallway. “She's in labor.” I mumbled to myself as a sigh of exasperation flowed out of my lips. Why was she in labor now of all times? Rodri would be hesitant in punishing her and there was a chance he would end up forgiv
Trinity's Pov The drive back to my place didn't take up as much energy as sneaking out of the hospital took from me. With Rodri all over the internet because of his altercation with Blossom earlier in the day, almost every spot in the hospital was packed to the brim with gossip mongers and reporters. Different nurses in different stations gathered around themselves to discuss a topic that was now a rage in the entire country. The main question on everyone's lips was plain but very inquisitive and accusative. How did Rodri not know he was being played for nine whole months? How could he? I had been the mastermind behind the entire thing and one thing I made sure to take care of were loose ends. Well, that was if I had decided to ignore Blossom’s stupid existence and shove her to the back of my mind. That spoiled princess had become one terrible loose end. But pushing everything aside, I told myself to focus on the positives and not the obvious negatives. So, what if everythi
Rodri's Pov “What do you mean we lost two investors?! How is that possible?! And in so little time?!” I could feel my blood boiling as I rode the elevator to my office at the top of my corporate building. My assistant kept her eyes steady on the pile of documents in her hands and very far away from my obviously angry face. “Talk to me!” I yelled at her, ignoring the horrid look that she momentarily shot my way. The air in the elevator felt like it was sizzling just like my whole body was. I wanted an explanation, no, I needed an explanation. Things couldn't have possibly gotten this bad in just three days. Was Blossom that influential? Was my life a hot mess already? The two days that had followed Blossom’s reveal had been filled with torture. From running away from multiple reporters, I had finally made it to work to find out my company had lost over a million dollar worth of stock. Not even the recovery of the previously stolen money had helped to keep us afloat. Not on
Estelle's Pov Oh, my back hurts so much, I grumbled inwardly as I made a fruitless attempt to perform the job of a chiropractor. I heard a small crack but it didn’t do much to help the fact that my back was very much sore from all the bending over I had been putting it through. But I couldn't complain outwardly. Even though my entire body was screaming for me to rest, it was something I couldn't do. Not while Vanessa was still unable to take care of her child or even herself. She had not even opened her eyes for the past two days and I was scared out of my wits. A lot of things had happened after Vanessa's childbirth including the DNA test that had been carried out on the baby. The results weren't out yet and I dreaded every moment we had to wait before its arrival. I was even more anxious than Rodri was. Or rather, than he was pretending to not be. Even though I had ran into him a few times at the neonatal ICU, I was told he had been frequenting the ward to see the child. He
Vanessa's Pov “I am only here because you're forcing me to be, don't ask for more than I am capable or even willing to give.” Rodri? The voice sounded like it had come from a distance but I was certain it was Rodri's. Was he here? My eyes slowly fluttered open as I took in the view of where I was. Bright lights, white walls, machines… I am in the hospital! I blinked rapidly to clear my vision and allowed my eyes to scan my surroundings. Estelle's worried face came into view and so did my mother but Rodri was nowhere to be found. Had I dreamt of him being around? Was I still sleeping? I closed my eyes again for a few seconds then pried them open once more. Mum quickly rushed to my side and so did Estelle. “How are you feeling, baby?” She asked with tears brimming over in her eyes. I leaned into the palm she placed on my cheek and let out a sigh that seemed to resonate from the depths of my soul. “Are you feeling any pains?” I nodded stiffly. My body felt sore and my inside
