Enzo Denver Mondragon
.
I couldn't stop smiling while seeing her walking down the aisle. I'm so happy that today is a beautiful sunny day. The Island was so peaceful with its natural gift, and the sea salt breeze was perfect. This Island belongs to Liam Mondragon, Drew's brother. It's exclusive and private.
"Best wishes, bro. You have the most beautiful woman," Enzo whispered. He is my best man, and the rest of my Mondragon cousins who are single are groomsmen. All of them are standing, looking bloody handsome.
I looked back at Kylie. She stood up, gave her parents a quick hug and kiss, and continued. When our eyes met, I felt the magic flick of my heart.
Dammit. I'm effing nervous, and I don't know why. My heart hammered hard, and I couldn't hide my smile. I cleared my throat and stopped firmly, watching her walking towards me.
Finally, I'm marrying the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with.
"Take care of my princess, Enzo." Kylie's father patted my shoulder, and her mother hugged me quickly.
"I will, Dad, and thank you for raising such a beautiful daughter of yours," I said genuinely, and the two slowly settled on the side.
My jaw tightened as I smiled at Kylie, and for some reason, she looked different to me. . . she looked so heaven, and my damn heart palpitated fast. She paused a few feet away from me and froze.
"Love?" I took one step slowly and held her hand. I felt her body stiffen. She then looked at me without a smile.
"Oh, sorry, darling." Her hand grips mine, and she moves closer.
I held her hands softly and looked at them. She had fingerless lace satin gloves around her hands, but I could still feel her palm. It was soft and beautiful. My brows furrowed because I noticed she was not wearing our engagement ring. I ignored it, and together, we strode to the center aisle.
Judge Del Rio Martin stood and looked at us firmly. He is our wedding officiant, and he is a close friend of my father.
Kylie looked at the beautiful arc of flowers above us and slowly looked at me. I smiled, and she did the same. I kissed her hand before I let it go, and she looked away. Judge Del Rio cleared his throat, and the ceremony started.
Everything went quiet as we listened to Judge Del Rio Martin. He talked about a few things, and it was very inspirational. Then, he proceeded to our wedding vows.
Kylie just stood up quietly while listening to me talking. I hold her other hand while giving my vow.
"From this moment, I take you as my best friend for life. I pledge to honor, encourage, and support you through our walk together. . . When our way becomes difficult, I promise to stand by you and uplift you so we can accomplish more through our union than we could alone. I promise to work at our love and always prioritize you in life. With every beat of my heart, I will love you, my love," I expressed from the bottom of my heart.
I smiled, waiting for Kylie to respond, but she just stared at me. Her eyes became watery. She blinked, face down, with a sigh. I softly caressed her hand as I held it. I know sometimes she's hard to understand and, lately, out of focus. I understand that sometimes she's stressed at work and tends to become aggressive at times, but I love her. And so I understand the negative side of her.
"Uhm." She cleared her throat, looked at everyone, smiled sweetly, and then looked back at me.
"I-I can still remember the first day that I met you. It was raining, and I didn't have my umbrella. I was ready to get soaked, but then you came and offered me your umbrella," she paused and swallowed hard.
I chuckled sweetly and didn't see this coming. I thought she had forgotten about it. I was the first time I met her and fell in love with her.
"You said: hey, miss, I have an umbrella. We can share," she paused and we both laughed.
I bit my lower lip, and my face flushed red. It was embarrassing because I offered her my umbrella so we would not get wet, but my umbrella was already damaged without me knowing when I opened it. And so, we just walk under the rain, soaking wet, holding hands, and laughing.
"From that moment, I have never once forgotten you. I thought you were a playboy, like the rest of the boys I've known, but I was wrong. You are unique and loving. . . Thank you, darling, for making me the most beautiful woman today, and I promise to love you as long as I live. . . And this heart will only beat for you until forever," she smiled sweetly, and my heart melted.
"Now, by the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss your bride."
My smile widens while we stare. Slowly, when I rolled up her wedding veil, her lips captured my attention. It's funny, but her lips were the ones that first captivated me. And for some reason, they had the same magic the first time I met her.
God, I must be crazy.
This sudden feeling of love ignited like lava inside me.I gently caressed her face and lifted her chin. Our eyes locked, and she pressed her lips together. She shut her eyes and waited for me to kiss her. I chuckle at the thought that she acts like a sweet, innocent piece, and when our lips touch, the tingling sensation somehow comes alive inside me.
After all, she's my only darling, Kylie. . .
"I Love you," I whispered when our lips parted.
She stared at me with her round, full, deep brown eyes. I felt the magic inside. It feels brand new, and it seems like it's the first time I've seen her like this.
"What's wrong, hon?" I asked, brushing the side of her lips with my thumb, and kissed her again.
Earlier wasn't a proper kiss before. I tried to thrust my tongue inside her to taste her sweetly, but she didn't open it for me. So, I had to kiss her again, sincerely, aiming for her to extend this time. She parted her mouth for me, and then, there it was, our fabulous wedding kiss.
I felt her when she looped her arms around me as we kissed tenderly. She tastes so sweet as always and so beautiful.
"I love you."
"And I love you," she responded.
The shower of petals was like snowdrops around us. I stared at her, and she was smiling infectiously. I held her hand tightly, and she did the same, and together, we faced our guests. We danced like there was no tomorrow, and we kissed and laughed like it would be the beginning of our life together.
The party was over, and everything went quiet now. Most of our guests are staying in this hotel owned by Xavion and Drew, and the rest of the guests went together with Kylie's parents on the other Island. Everyone had fun, like me, but not Kylie tonight. She doesn't look better at all.
"Hon? Are you okay?" I knocked at the toilet door.
"Y-Yes, hon. I'm fine."
"I prepared some warm milk for you, hon. I will wait here, okay?" I softy said.
"Thank you, hon. I won't be long," she answered.
I took a deep breath as I stepped outside the balcony of this room. Looking up, the sky was pitch dark, and not a single star was visible.
I just finished my shower on the other side of the room. This room is for a sweet couple suite, and it has two toilets, a bath, and one sweet Jacuzzi. She had her period, and having cramps was always her problem.
I whirled halfway when I heard her opening the toilet door. She was wearing pink pajamas and had her hair up in a bun. I grabbed the warm milk and strode closer to her. She sat down on the edge of the bed and turned the TV on.
"Warm milk, hon." I heartily offer, and she takes it out from me.
"Thank you."
I sat down beside her and gently caressed her shoulder. Her scent is so beautiful tonight, and it's turning me on. I desire her, but I need to grasp myself. . . my poor darling must be hard on her.
"How are you feeling?" I asked, kneeling in front of her. Sitting on the floor, I gently grabbed her foot and massaged it. She didn't respond and just drank her warm milk quietly. I stood up and put more pillows behind her.
"Lie down, darling. I will give you a good massage to ease your pain," I smiled sweetly and started massaging her feet.

Louise Rose.At times, you meet the right person when circumstances are not ideal. Other times, you encounter the wrong person when the moment is perfect. However, when you discover the right person at the right time in the right circumstances, it’s destiny. Fate has intertwined your paths, so hold on tightly and never let go.I still couldn’t believe it. After Hendrix’s proposal, the wedding took place. That was spot on. I wasn’t prepared. But when I saw Rosy in her wheelchair, I felt it was the perfect moment for everything. It was truly the right time for that. That night was perfect for us and everyone around us. Hendrix and I got married and were surrounded by our loved ones. It’s been a year, and everything around us moves smoothly. There are tough days alongside joyful moments. The silver lining is that we don’t argue. Even if we bicker over minor issues, we make sure that they are resolved by the end of the day.I’ve faced numerous challenges, beginning with Rosy, my father,
Hendrix."Is everything ready?" I whispered to Eleanor ahead. She gave me a thumbs-up.I took a deep breath and scanned my surroundings. I'm feeling anxious about this. I hope everything works out. This proposal is my second attempt. I chose to keep it simple. Eleanor will invite Louise to a Saturday event, which is my proposal for her.Rosy, my family, and a few of the boys will be here soon. I'm not sure what Reeve and Linus are up to, but I have a bad feeling about it. They've prepared something without telling me what it is."I'll return with Louise in two hours, okay? Everything is set. We have another surprise for both of you. So, no matter what it is, Hendrix, you cannot refuse. Understood?"I blinked. "Okay. . ." My forehead wrinkled."Don't worry. It's not going to harm you or Louise. It will be beneficial for you." She winked, patted my shoulder, and then walked straight ahead."Hendrix! What's up, bro?""Riley? What are you doing here? I thought you were still in Scotland?
Louise Rose.It feels like just yesterday, yet a month has already passed. As I glanced at my mother's name on her urn, I also looked at her picture beside it. I resemble her. She's beautiful, and I just look like her. For years, I have refused to look at her photos from Rosy's old albums. I didn't want to see her at that moment, nor did I want her image to linger in my mind. I didn't feel any anger towards her. I just didn't want to imagine what she looked like.Ideally, Rosy embodies the motherly figure I've always cherished, and during moments of hardship and solitude, it's her face I long for most.I have no regrets. If I were to look at old photos of my mother and notice how much I resemble her, I might feel resentment. Whenever I see my reflection, I see my mother, which prevents me from finding peace. As a child, I had many questions about why she left me with Rosy and why she never came back. But that was in the past. It’s all behind us now, and we are left with the answers
Louise Rose."Louise!"My heart lights in that last second before they toss me.I saw Hendrix running towards me. . . Stephanie screamed, and everything flew in the air.Splash!I held my breath quickly, and my hand automatically did the job. But the rope was tightly wrapped around my feet, and the bricks were heavy. I descended quickly at the bottom.I tried kicking, trying to get it out. I jerked my head up, trying to grasp the air. I can only hold my breath for thirty seconds at least. That was my best record when I went swimming with my friends back when I was only sixteen.I hate the waters. I'm scared of it. I can't breathe.Five, four, three, two, one. . .That's it. I can't do it. I can't untie myself. Am I going to die? Is this my end? Rosy…mum…Hendrix…***Hendrix.Damn it!"Louise!" My body was on autopilot. I run towards her."Oh my god!"I heard Stephanie scream and the rattles around. After extensive tracking, we finally caught them in the act. However, it seems too la
Hendrix.Reeve accompanied me when we arrived at El Puerto. A car was waiting for us. Xavion arranged it. He also contacted the authorities to check the area around. And because it's not yet twenty-four hours, they don't consider it as a missing person. So, we have no choice but to work out independently. The boys will be coming to help. Most of them were at the event, waiting for us, but the party was over. It hasn't even started."Mum, not now, please. I need to find Louise," I answer my mother in the line. She's been calling me non-stop."Look, son. Eddie and Marco are on their way. They might take a while, but they're coming."I sighed, feeling frustrated now. The camera recording shows not much. It did not even capture the face of the person with Louise. The area was quiet, too. They're making sure that they can't be seen. They prepare well for this and damn it. I will make them pay for this."Also, son, Eddie told me that Stephanie actually came back this morning. He doesn't be
Narrator's POV.Eleven hours earlier...Louise was supposed to call Shella, but that did not happen. Shella has been wondering all along why Louise hasn't called yet. "Why hasn't she called me yet? She was supposed to call earlier," she muttered before dialing Louise's number without any hesitation.Tot…tot…tot…"What the? Why is she unattended?"She attempted once more, but the result remained unchanged. After waiting another hour, she considered it might be the signal at that location. However, deep down, she realized it was unlikely. This area has a strong signal with telecommunications towers throughout. So, it's impossible.Shella then speculated that perhaps Louise's phone had a low battery. That's it!It was nearly seven o'clock, and Louise still hadn't arrived. She remained unattended.Shella felt a surge of panic. She realized that Hendrix would arrive shortly to pick up Louise. They needed to go to a surprise family event. This surprise was organized by Hendrix, of course
