Enzo Denver Mondragon
.
"Don't smile too much, Enzo. It's fucking disgusting, bro!" Linus Leone smirked and shook his head.
"Just tell me that you are jealous, Leone. Why don't you settle down like us—four?" Conrad said with open arms.
"I don't think it will happen soon to Linus Leone, Conrad. This lion is not ordinary like you," Xavion snorted.
I slightly shook my head while listening to them.
"You are all a bunch of crazy peps!" Linus let out a short laugh and smirked again.
The boys are here at the Monde Rock Bar gathering at my so-called Batchelor's party. Next week is the biggest event of my life, and after that, I will no longer be a bachelor because I will marry the most beautiful woman I have met.
"What sort of a bachelor party is this? Where's the dancing girls?" Glenn complained as he looked around.
He was right, this is probably a boring one, but I like it like this. I don't want a complicated bachelor's party, and I'm sure Kylie will never approve if there's a woman inside.
"Not all in a bachelor's party where a girl is dancing, entertaining your erection, Glenn," Norman chuckled, and the rest of the boys laughed.
"Come on, Hendrix, do your march. The boys are getting bored," Marco throws a joke at Hendrix.
I swirled my glass of wine, then took a sip. The boys' laugh faded as they looked at the cold-blooded prince down the corner, looking so effing serious, staring at his phone.
He finally realized that we were looking at him. He returned a cold expression towards us, ignoring us as if we didn't exist in his world.
"Don't joke around with our cold-blooded prince, Marco. You don't want to walk without a head later, right?" Drew chuckled.
Norman stood between the two. "Trust me, Hendrix is already good," he winked." He is the kindest amongst us all here, right?" he said, looking at everyone with a twitching, silent smile.
Once again, everyone burst into laughter.
"What a load of crap! Am I the one getting married and being put in jail?" Hendrix mouthed sarcastically as he shifted a gaze at me.
"Your woman is kind of wicked, Enzo. I bet you will shed tears of blood after the wedding," he smirked and looked away. He is now heading towards the counter bar to get more whiskey. I slightly chuckled and shook my head.
Xavion got up from his seat and gave me a wink. He is now walking towards Hendrix's location. Hendrix sat down on the chair at the bar counter. The bartender, Noy, served Hendrix a drink. Xavion then sat beside him. The boys kept their business, and the place was again covered in laughter and jokes.
I let out a groan as I leaned back against the headrest. Conrad then tapped my shoulder and sat down beside me.
"Are you sure about this, Enzo?" Conrad sighed.
"I know you should think a thousand times, Enzo. But if your heart tells you what you want, then there's no point in asking if you're sure about this," Glenn advised. It was a confident answer to Conrad's question. He then sat down beside me. I'm in between the two.
"Fair enough, that's true!" a voice from behind.
I laughed slightly, nodded at the two, and whirled my body to see him and the other boys, too. It was Atticus. He looks fresh and is carrying a box in his hand.
"How's the criminal? So, are we going to start now?" Atticus chuckled as he strode towards me. The boys made some noise to welcome him. He put the box on the table, and the boys surrounded him.
"Yo, Atticus Art. How are you, man?" I gave him a brotherly hug, and the bastard tightly hugged me. Everyone laughed.
Conrad expressed his dissatisfaction by saying, "This is not acceptable. It appears that there is favoritism at play between those two."
"Art, is an empty box your gift for the groom-to-be?" Norman jokingly asked.
The boys laughed as I raised my fingers to indicate a quotation. I jerked up, laughing as everyone was having fun with each other. Drew Mondragon rose to his feet and checked the box, causing everyone to go quiet.
"Damn, gold bars!" Drew clicked his tongue, smiling evilly at me.
"Really?" Glenn, who appeared unsettled, laughed as he approached the pair and peered into the box.
"Don't get it out, Glenn. I will do the honor," Atticus uttered.
I chuckled, and everyone went quiet again. Linus and Hendrix were serious, looking at the boys. They are all smiling wickedly at me. I slightly shook my head, feeling shy at this tradition.
This is the tradition of the Mondragon Billionaire's Boys Club.
Everyone should give something to the groom as a gift. Money, land, business proposal, or whatever it is that will help us start another business again as a married man.
This has been going on for generations. We help each other, have each other's backs, and stand together through thick and thin.
"Hang on, Malcolm is calling," Xavion announced. He swiped his phone and answered it. He puts his phone on the table for everyone to see Malcolm.
"How's everyone? How are you, mate?" Malcolm asked me. As soon as he saw me, he grinned.
"I'm good, Malc. How are you doing?" I raised my right hand for a cheers as I held a beer glass.
Malcom is a farmer in Australia. He owns a big dairy and meat farm and is very successful in his business ventures.
The boys came closer to see Malcolm on the screen. Xavion grabbed his phone and showed it to everyone. The rest of the boys greeted Malcolm until someone called, trying to join the conversation.
It was Travis Mondragon from Cordova.
"Please hold on for a moment. I will initiate a video call and add everyone to it." Xavion swiped the screen on his phone, adding Travis to the group and the rest of the boys in the line.
Malcolm is in Australia, and he's a dairy farmer. Travis joined the convo, and he's in Cordova, managing the Del Rio Farm—Vance pop-in with his humorous look like a dark angel.
Like Atticus, Vance works in the same industry in Italy.
Riftyn looks pathetic, like a man who lives in the woods away from civilization and is in England. While Dax is in Mexico, smiling like a shit lying on his bed.
"Are we all complete now. Should we start?" Atticus stated.
"Yes, let's get this going. Candy, my wife, is waiting for me. She's worried about this dancing lady inside the big cake." Conrad laughed as he quoted his hand. "To think there was none because all that are present are just the boys," he shrugged his shoulder.
All the boys laughed.
I stood up in front while everyone sat down. The box was beside me, and I was smiling evilly.
At last, this was my turn, and I can't wait to see what surprises these Mondragon lunatics would give me.
"Be happy, Enzo. Expand the genes and make more little doctors like you." Atticus patted my shoulder. He handed me a white envelope.
I slightly shook my head as I accepted it. I opened it before everyone, and the penny dropped to thirty-five million dollars in cold check cash.
Dammit. I swore in silence as I showed it to everyone. They all came noisy, cheering loudly.
Drew stood up and handed me a medium-sized white letter. I opened it. Inside was a twenty-million-dollar check. The boys were cheering again, making a lot of noise.
I laughed, feeling loved by these bastards. And the rest follows.
"I'm sorry, bro. This is all I can afford at the moment," Glenn said, handing me the Daniel Whiskey. We all laughed. He gave me ten million. I shook my head, and I felt so reddish.
This night will be over, and I will be sleeping with a lump sum of money. The rest of the boys wired their money to my bank account.
Hendrix cleared his throat as he approached me. I thought he would give me a small amount. I mean, I'm okay with that. Hendrix is known as the tightest among the boys regarding money.
"Build your dream hospital, bro," he said, patting my shoulder.
"Thanks, bro," I nodded and looked at the amount.
Damn, this cold-blooded prince is a magnet of love, and I overlooked that. I can't believe the amount of money he gives me. It was eighty million dollars.
"Is it enough to open a second branch of Paediatric Hospital?" Xavion furrowed his brows. He smiled at me.
"Nearly there. I might need a little bit more," I exclaimed, jerking up and laughing.
This is what we get as gifts from all my cousins. We are all boys. Our male gender has been dominant for generations. This tradition originated with our ancestors, who feared the extinction of their clan.
Most of the Mondragon during their time ended up not getting married.
That's why our ancestors set this type of game to encourage a Mondragon man to settle and find a good woman. There is no minimum amount, and everyone can give whatever is in their profit for a year. Whatever you can provide, it's alright. Like Travis in Cordova, he gave me a piece of land on their massive farm with hundreds of thousands of hectares.
The night was filled with laughter and unlimited beers, wine, etc. The Monde Rock Bar was shut for the night and is exclusive to us. Everyone jokingly picked on everyone's back.
My phone vibrated. I stood up and fished it out of my pocket. It was Kylie calling me.
"Hello, hon?" I excused myself from the boys and headed outside. I'm halfway drunk, but I can still manage myself.
"Hon? Where is it? I thought you bought it already? I was expecting it today!"
I put my phone a little bit away from my ear as Kylie's angry voice boomed.
I chuckled. "I will get it tomorrow, hon. I'm sorry. . . I'm with the boys. We are at the - "
"What!? What sort of excuse is that, Enzo!?" she cuts me off, growling like a tigress in the line.
"I was waiting the whole freaking day! And there you are, having fun with all your crazy cousins!" She screamed in the line.
I slightly chuckled and bit my lower lip. I composed myself and looked around me. It was pitch dark here, and there was not even a single star above me. I sighed and couldn't be bothered listening to her talking, screaming in anger in the line.
Oh, my darling love, Kylie Eve Fuentabella. . . Sometimes, I wonder what I like so much about her.
"I will get it tomorrow, hon," I softly said.
"You better be! Or else you will not have a bride!" She ended the call. I chuckled and shook my head lightly.
I'm having trouble understanding her. She reminds me of my young patients, who are both adorable and unpredictable. Despite her mood swings, I still care for her deeply. I love my Kylie. She's like my baby.

Kyla Eva Fuentabella.I don't think I can sleep after what happened. I constantly stare at the ceiling, thinking about what to do next.It is unbelievable. It's freaking unreal!I can't understand my twin sister, Kylie. Her twisted, untangled brain made her what she had become. An absolute dumb, pain in the ass, stupid! Sometimes, I question myself if she is really my twin by blood. We look physically the same, but we are completely opposite in everything. I'm the angel, while she's the devil. I'm the fairy with a golden heart, and she's the black wicked witch without it.I wonder who carries the bad blood? Is it mother or father?I don't think it's our father. He is the best father for me, loving, caring, and understanding. It could be our mother. She's as wicked as Kylie and doesn't care about me. Ugh, I hate this! I don't want to think too much. This is useless!I rolled over my back and submerged my face in the pillow. If I could only turn back the time, I could have a better a
Kyla Eva Fuentabella.I stood empty, staring at the mirror in front of me. I felt numb and lost.Isn't your wedding day supposed to be the happiest day of your life? No. Not! Especially if you happen to be the substitute bride!"This will be the last, Kayla. After this, you are free to go. I also had enough of all the pretend, and I'm tired of this game. This is the last. I Promise. I will never bother you again. So, please just be my substitute, okay?" Kylie pleads once again in the line."But Kylie? Where are you? Who's with you? Who is he? What are you planning to do? I thought you would be back tomorrow," I frustratedly asked. I want to pull my hair so she can wake up. "I will be back after three days from now on, Kyla. Just be my cover for a while. I know you can do this. This is easy peasy for you. You are my professional mini-me, and I believe in you, okay? I have to go. Bye," she stated and ended the call.My mouth parted, and I just can't believe it! "What!? H-Hello, Kylie
Enzo Denver Mondragon.I couldn't stop smiling while seeing her walking down the aisle. I'm so happy that today is a beautiful sunny day. The Island was so peaceful with its natural gift, and the sea salt breeze was perfect. This Island belongs to Liam Mondragon, Drew's brother. It's exclusive and private."Best wishes, bro. You have the most beautiful woman," Enzo whispered. He is my best man, and the rest of my Mondragon cousins who are single are groomsmen. All of them are standing, looking bloody handsome.I looked back at Kylie. She stood up, gave her parents a quick hug and kiss, and continued. When our eyes met, I felt the magic flick of my heart.Dammit. I'm effing nervous, and I don't know why. My heart hammered hard, and I couldn't hide my smile. I cleared my throat and stopped firmly, watching her walking towards me.Finally, I'm marrying the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with."Take care of my princess, Enzo." Kylie's father patted my shoulder, and her mother
Kyla Eva . I am feeling overwhelmed and cannot handle the situation anymore. "Stop, hon! I-I'm fine. I don't need a massage." I pulled my feet from him immediately. "Don't be silly, hon. I'm the doctor here, and I know what I'm doing." He smiles, bites his lower lip, and looks at me seductively. Oh my God! I felt like my heart was going to pop out of my chest. I swallowed hard as he slowly caressed my feet and slowly put them back on his lap. My grip tightened on the cup that I was holding. I'm good at faking myself but the heck, sleeping with him in one bed is a big no for me. Oh, dear God! Please give me strength so that I can make it through the night. I hope it will be three days tomorrow, and this will be over, but no, it's not! I still have two days to go. I shifted my focus and sipped the warm milk he had prepared for me. Though my eyes were fixed on the TV, I made an effort to listen to it attentively. But no matter how much I wanted to ignore him, I couldn't. The way
Enzo Denver Mondragon . "I have to return this. I'm sorry, Beauty," I politely said. "No, it's fine. That's fine! See? Have I told you, right? The Kylie that I knew is not materialistic, Enzo. She was probably having a hard time last week," Beauty smiled sweetly. Beauty was right. Kylie is not that materialistic at all. But there are times that she goes beyond her limit when it comes to spending Luxury bags. That's why it was a surprise for me when she rejected it. "She was probably just jealous of something. Maybe you are too close to the nurses around you," she joked. "I wish she would do that, but I don't feel that in her. She doesn't get jealous at all, Beauty. It was the opposite because I was the one who always got jealous of the people, especially the male ones around her." "I-I mean, you are a model, right? And so is Kylie and - " "And wearing their bikini in front of the public, ramping on stage is a big no for me." Drew interrupted. He cuts me off. He came out behind
Kyla Eva.I felt like my soul had come out of my body momentarily when Enzo touched me. But what really scared me was the tie around my wrist. I forgot to wrap them around my wrist.I sighed after wrapping them around my wrist. I slightly shook my head while looking at the beautiful floral handkerchief around it. I was lucky that Enzo didn't notice it.Honestly, there was nothing on my wrist—not even a single scar. But it's a different story when it comes to Kylie. If Enzo had seen the cut on Kylie's wrist, then he would have become suspicious of me.Kylie's wrist has many little scars. One is deep and dark, and it's visible. Kylie had lasered it multiple times, but the scar was still visible. Therefore, she would always cover it with fashionable accessories. It's becoming a trend to notice the little details about her body, as she's a celebrity whose career has been impacted by it.Since Enzo is a doctor, I'm sure he can quickly point out little details of changes from me. I want to
Kyla Eva . I had a good sleep last night and woke up feeling light. Enzo's surprise yesterday refreshed my body. The whole body massage that the Island staff provided inside our suite was beautiful. I had fun and loved every moment with Enzo beside me. I kept staring at my phone, waiting for Kylie to ring me. I'm inside the toilet, feeling edgy already. I tried ringing her a few times earlier, but there was no answer; worst of all, it was unattended. Where the hell is she? She is supposed to be here today. Today is the day for us to settle this. Today is her comeback. I sighed as I repeatedly redialed her number, and it was the same. UNREACHABLE! "Are you okay there, honey?" Enzo knocked on the toilet door. "Y-Yes, hon. I-I'm almost there. I'll be out soon!" I panickedly answered. I stood up and quickly fixed myself. There's no point in waiting. I don't think Kylie will call me. She might show up later tonight so that we can switch. I put on my best smile when I step out of th
Kyla Eva."Where the hell is your sister, Kyla!? Where is Kylie!?" mum hysterically asked.I dipped my head while my knees were shaking. The slap my mother gave me earlier when I opened the door still stings on my right cheek. I thought she wouldn't notice, but I was wrong. Straight away, she knew I was not Kylie because I was Kyla. And what do I expect? She gave birth to us. She's our mother, and no matter what happens, she will always be able to tell the difference between Kylie and me. But how come she didn't notice it during the ceremonial wedding? Or perhaps she pretends like father did?"What are you planning, Kyla? Where is your twin sister? What kind of a sister are you!? You messed up everything again!" Her eyes squinted, and she screamed."I know you like Enzo, but he is not for you! He is your twin sister's husband! He is meant for your sister and not for you! Can't you see that? You are nothing compared to your sister, Kyla! You are a disgrace!"I slightly twisted my lips
Louise Rose.I'm so furious right now. I feel so betrayed. Of all the people, why Hendrix? Why. . .I went back to Rosy and attended to all her needs. I never asked her anything about her condition. I had enough of what Dr. Lou said earlier. I just need to give myself some time to settle down so that I can think again."Louise, my dear, please don't be upset with me or Dr. Lou. It's not his fault. He was simply following my instructions... I want this because I don't want you to fret too much… I apologize for keeping this from you." Rosy's voice was faint and tired. I could only embrace her. My heart shatters as I feel lost about what to do next. It's nighttime already. I helped Rosy shower and eat dinner, and now I am tucking her for bedtime. I turned off my phone after I talked to Dr. Lou. I don't want to talk to anyone, especially to Hendrix. I'm not in the mood for any conversation about Rosy's health.I could only smile softly as I stroked her cheek. I know she's tired. Today
Louise Rose.Although I shouldn't visit her today, I plan to surprise Rosy since my calendar is free. I feel truly blessed in many ways despite the conflicts within Hendrix's family.Hendrix's mother hates me, and Stephanie is making all the moves she can to hold Hendrix by the neck.My partner is facing financial losses, and I feel accountable for it. I want to assist him, but I'm unsure of how to proceed. I believe the most significant support I can offer is simply being there for him, regardless of the circumstances.I love him, honestly. Our start wasn't perfect, as it was pretentious, but look at where we are now. It's been the past six months, and we are running seven and still firmly in love with each other.I felt nervous as I entered the care clinic. Nadia, the head nurse, looked surprised when she saw me."I did not expect a visit from you today." Her brows wiggled, and I laughed. "Does your Aunt Rosy know you are coming?""No. She did not. I want to surprise her. I have so
Louise Rose.I cautiously glance to the side while listening to Hendrix speak on the phone with Stephanie. After dinner, we settled back at his place, giving me enough time to relax. I'm all relaxed, alright. I had my shower thirty minutes ago and checked on Rosy at the care clinic. Everything is going well with her, and I'm glad she's okay. I was a little worried when I saw her this morning. She doesn't seem well."I told you I'm not negotiating anything from you anymore, Steph." Hendrix's voice rose in octavo."Dammit! This is why we can't talk in person. This is why I can't see you!' He ran his hand through his hair in frustration and lifted his head."Fucking hell! Don't you dare tell me what to do, Steph! It's not about myself anymore, and not about Louise. Stay her out of this!"My body jerked when I heard the surprising kick he made on the chair inside the room. I fiddle my fingernails on my lips while listening, and my heart is pumping hard inside me.Hendrix is furious. Step
Louise Rose.I stopped by the flower stall near Hendrix’s office building, and rather than waiting for him, I opted to head to his office instead. The interior of the building is impressive. It features a unique atmosphere, and the entrance boasts a tall ceiling adorned with a large, sparkling chandelier. There was no reception. Instead, there was information displayed on the large screen indicating which floor to visit. On the opposite side of the hallway leading to the lifts, you’ll find a small café alongside a flower stall.I smiled upon seeing it, and the two ladies attending smiled back. They were taking orders from two customers waiting nearby.Hendrix is clever, and I’m very proud of my man.Last night, we didn’t talk about Stephanie and the newly released articles. I felt jealous, but I knew how to manage my jealousy. I trust him and will wait for his explanation. The elevator arrives at the top floor, the fifty-ninth. I exit and am greeted by the company’s prominent logo ad
Hendrix."It's good to see you again, Rosy." I gave her a tight hug and kissed her forehead. She gazed at me faintly, smiling. Her hands felt cold, and she was growing thinner each day. I felt anxious. To me, she didn't seem well, yet I recognized her strong fight for Louise.Last night was calm with Louise. We had a good time together. We never talked about the issues and just set them aside. We kissed, cuddled, and made love. It was solemn and peaceful. Although it does not solve the problem, I think it's probably better that way.I have too much on my plate at the moment, and I'm sorting out my business with Stephanie. I'm doing things one at a time, and I know Louise understands that."Hendrix…" Rosy weakly uttered my name, and I sat down beside her."How are you feeling, Rosy?" My jaw tightened. I knew she was not feeling well. I had a quick chat with Dr. Lou before I proceeded to her unit. The treatment was still ongoing. We are on our second radiation session now, and there ar
Louise Rose.I sat down, and Dr. Lou looked very serious. I haven't seen Rosy—not yet. The food and treats are still inside the paper bags with me.“Look, Louise. I know it’s been some time, and if you’ve noticed, Rosy’s condition is worsening each day.” He paused and glanced at me with a worried expression."Yes, I noticed that. I've been meaning to talk to you, but I've been held up with many things, including my business. Every time I visit, you're either not here or busy with your patients.""Yes, I'm sorry about that. But this time, I could no longer ignore the symptoms, and—"He paused again when my phone suddenly rang. I hadn't muted it."Oh, sorry." I pulled it out of my side pocket and swiped the screen. It was Rosy."Uhm, it's just Rosy. Just hang on for a second, Dr. Lou." I stood up and whirled halfway."Yes, Rosy. I'm already here at the clinic. I'm talking to Dr. Lou. It won't be long, and I will be there. I'll see you in a minute," I said, ending the call.Dr. Lou clear
Louise Rose."What the heck? You attended the event the other day with Hendrix, right?" Shella's eyes were like fire when I looked at her."Why? What's wrong?" I still had my hands on the flowers I had arranged in the vase. After the event and spending the night at Hendrix's place, I visited Rosy the next day. She seemed unwell and uncomfortable, which worried me. So, I decided to stay with her until nighttime to help with her needs. She's got a personal maid, but me being there with her is a different story. I just want to be with her. I don't want to think about that sly Stephanie.I have a few messages and miscalls from Hendrix. I will get back to him later. "Look at this. Have you read this?" She showed me the newspaper. The front page featured a picture of Hendrix's company and the events mentioned. On the next page was a collage of pictures with his cousins, parents, and Stephanie."Where are you? Why aren't you here? They didn’t even mention you at all, as if you didn’t exist
Louise Rose.I lost my smile the moment I saw Hendrix. Anger surged within me, and I recalled what Stephanie had said at the party.“Louise, darling...”Hendrix leaned in to kiss me, but I pulled away. Lilia noticed and cleared her throat before walking away. She left us.Hendrix opens my chair so I can sit down. I never look at him as I take my seat. I’m still upset.“I’m not sure what you’d prefer for breakfast, so I asked Lilia to prepare a variety of options.” He cleared his throat as he placed each dish closer to my plate.I will eat as much as possible and then go to the flower shop branches. That’s my plan for today. We sit in silence while eating, creating an awkward atmosphere. I don’t want to discuss anything and can sense his hesitance to speak.“I’m sorry about what happened last night, Louise.”My lips twitch. Why is he apologizing? Is it because he didn’t inform me about Stephanie? Additionally, I don’t even know what role Stephanie plays in his life aside from being
Louise Rose. What was that about? Why did I fail in that moment? Who does she think she is?I grimaced, feeling so shit. I wish I could have done it the other way. Instead, I was sulking. I'm a known fighter, but tonight, I wasn't. Is this really me? Shit."Drop me home, Hendrix." I gritted my teeth. I'm done crying and acting like a baby. Rosy never raised me to become weak because she taught me how to defend myself in front of my bullies.Born without parents, I had many insecurities. Rosy was always with me at all the events in my life. When friends asked about my parents, I always said the same thing over and over... my parents are deceased. That's the eastiest way to answer them.Hendrix took the turn that led to his house instead of mine. I glanced at him, but he never looked back."I said to my place, Hendrix!""Stay in my place.""I'm not sleeping in the same bed with you!""I understand. But please stay for tonight, Louise." He gazes at me in desperation. "I will not force
