"What did he say?" Kairos asked curiously.

He came closer to me and memories of us kissing came rushing back into my head. I suddenly became conscious of the distance between us.

"He did not say anything." I murmured and searched for his eyes only to find it staring directly at my neck.

I grabbed the chain of the locket that I had around my neck.

"Where did you get that?" He asked. His voice is full of authority making me afraid of him. It was as if he would suddenly go feral any time from now if I gave him the wrong answer.

"It's mine." I stuttered as I showed it to him. His jaw clenched and the seriousness of his eyes was unparalleled.

I opened the locket and smiled again when I saw a younger version of me that looks exactly like Beryl now.

"I saw it in my stuff. I assumed that it was mine since the picture in the locket is me. I asked him who gave it to me..." I paused talking for seconds and stared at him. His eyes remained emotionless as he continued giving me cold stares
