Isla's Point of View.

I couldn't remember where the hell did I find the courage to say those things to Kairos. All that I knew was my legs were shaking so badly after I got out of the powder room, I even left my clutch bag inside, but there was no way I'd turn around to go get it.

"Hey, there you are. I was looking all over the place for you. Where have you been? And where is Cormac?" Kio pulled me away from the dim hallway that leads to the women's and men's powder room.

I looked back at the still-closed door of the powder room, anticipating Kairos to come out any second from now. When he didn't. I turned my eyes back at Kio and it was now me dragging him to where everyone was partying.

"Cormac is injured. I am sure that he has a big cut on the corner of his lips," I said to Kio while my eyes were still fully alert in case his twin brother suddenly popped behind us or just in case I caught Cormac. I feel like I owe him an apology. I let go of Kio's arm and he took a step back whil
