IRIS

When Les entered another city and I saw the name on the signboard, a certain form of sadness enveloped me. I felt like shrinking into my seat as I hugged myself. I can't believe I missed Mary's funeral.

She didn't deserve that and I am definitely a horrible person. I immediately fished out my phone and was appalled to see dozens of texts from Hilda. Apparently she had heard about my kidnapping and was worried sick.

I also read the texts where she said Les had informed her of my safety and sent me pictures from the funeral. Mary's wakekeep had been a closed casket and only close family plus a few friends attended.

I wish I had attended. Being with Les distracts me and I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad one. I felt a weight on my thigh and I looked down to see Les's hand. Somehow, his touch wasn't sensual in any way but rather communicated support.

“Wanna talk?”

I shook my head and looked out the window instead.

“You shouldn't bottle up your feelings. It's not health

IRIS The sensation that runs through me is nothing short of icy terror. I read and reread the message wondering who could have sent it. Not many people knew me as Sydney during my journalism era. It was a deal I had to make with my Editor to overcome shyness in the media world. As far as journalism was concerned Iris Carter didn't exist and I was content with dishing out content while hiding behind my computer. Knowing my alias and my real name was real disturbing. “You good?” I immediately clicked off my phone and gave Les a bright smile. “I'm fine. Just nervous about seeing Mrs. Petrova again.”We reached the door and Hilda was the one to knock. “The last time I was here, Mary and I had come for summer break. This was where she got the news about her all expense paid fellowship in London.” A bitter smile curved my lips and I looked up to find Les watching me. The door opens and a petite blond woman steps out onto the porch, dressed in a white sweater and jeans. She hugs Hilda

IRISWhen I went back into the house, I found Mila and Hilda going through pictures and old memories of Mary. “Awww she always looked cute in that dress.” Hilda crooned at whatever she was seeing in a picture Mila held before her. My phone pinged and my heart stuttered again in fear but when I looked at the ID, I saw it was from Les. Les: “I’m going to the hotel to get a shower and change of clothes. I'll be right back but by then, be ready to leave.”Me: “Yes Captain. Also remember to grab something to eat. When was the last time you had something?”Les: “That would be the last time I ate you out?”Fucking hell! Heat blossomed in my cheeks just as it traveled to the area between my thighs. Instinctively, my thighs pressed closer. Me: “I am not food, Les.”Les: “Wow, where have I been getting my vitamin P from then?”A girly laughter bubbled out of me into the air and I immediately froze as I felt a different kind of heat on me. When I looked up, I discovered it came from both Hild

LESIris: “Hmmm. This picture reminds me of the first time we met. You look like the perfect model for a vitamin D product.”I had just entered my car when I sent the selfie to Iris and her reply had made me laugh out loud. I don't remember the last time I genuinely did that with someone else. All the women aside, my mother and Iris had all experienced the fake smiling and laughing side of me. It had been cultivated to help me blend in with society while also hiding my true motives. Iris was a breath of fresh air and a relief from the burden of pretense. It's why she's like a drug to me and I can't get enough of her. Me: “Hmmm. I can totally think of a catchphrase that would go with the product. Vitamin D: Spread your legs and take it. Or Vitamin D: good for your heart and pussy? Which do you prefer?”I pressed ‘Send’ with a subtle smirk and set up my phone so I could reply to her with my speech to text feature. Halfway to the Petrova house and still Iris hadn't responded. I knew he

IRISThe first thing I felt was a weight against my back and for a solid moment, I was back at Massimo's house, and in his bed. Frightened, I jerked up and away with a sharp intake of breath but a strong arm kept me in place. Terrified, a scream tore out of my lungs and I clawed at the hand before I felt the owner move behind me. Whipping around, with wide eyes and a raging heartbeat, I found Les with sleep ruffled hair and a sleepy look but alert eyes studying me. The room we were in was dark save for a soft light coming in from the windows in our room which gave us a clear view of the town we were in.“It's okay. It's me. You're fine. You're free.” His deep voice washed over me in soothing waves as his hand left my midriff and touched my face. It was when he wiped a tear from it that I realized I had been crying. I blinked several times and nodded, too scared out of my mind to catch a breath. “Easy. Look at me.” I obeyed. “Take one breath in and one breath out.” He practiced and I

LESI really wanted Iris. I wanted to watch her perky round mounds going up and down as she bounced on my cock but based on what she had been through, I didn't want to have her yet. I wanted her to rest and heal before I showed her how much I really wanted her. Then and only then, can I be sure that her body can take the essence of my personality in the bedroom. Leaving her to wash the bleach from her hair, I left the room and rode the elevator to the ground floor. I remembered the first time I had met Iris and how frightened she was to even be in the same room with me. “I haven't done this before.” She had mentioned but I thought she meant being an escort. Deflowering her that night had instilled in me a raw sense of possession so keen I would have kept her with me if she hadn't been in such a hurry to leave. What started as a fling for the night turned out to be one of the most impacting experiences of my life. The fact that I had told her I would believe in fate for her sake re

IRISDressed in a bathrobe, I dried my hair with a towel, staring at my reflection in the mirror. I did look good as a blonde but going back to being brunette was the best decision ever. I smiled to myself considering how lucky I was to have someone like Les who paid attention to my needs. Suddenly, I heard a knock on the bedroom door before it opened. “Hola.” The familiar voice of my best friend sounded muted on the other side of the bathroom door. “Breakfast is heeerrrrreee.”“Be right there!” I yelled, combing through my semi-wet hair. Once I was done, I left the bathroom and stepped into the bedroom. with a shy smile.Hilda was already making two cups of tea when I walked in and it wasn’t until she had had a taste that she raised her head and saw me. “Ay dios mío!” Hilda said, which meant ‘Oh my God’ in Spanish. She had the expression of disbelief before a big smile spread on her face and she pulled me into an embrace. “My baby is back.” She said, holding on to me and I held on

IRISAfter Hilda left to catch a nap, I sent a text to Les asking where he was. Les: “James and I stepped out for a hot minute. Will be back soon. Do you miss me?”Me: “Mhmm. Let me think about that.” I replied with a thinking emoji at the end. “No.”Les: “I’m going to give you ten seconds to rectify that.” Me: “Or what?” I answered with a smirking emoji.Les: “Five seconds left…”Me: “Three. Two. One.” Les: “Nice. Don’t ask for mercy when I make you eat that word though.”A pleasant shiver ran through my body as my lips curled up in a mischievous smile. Me: “Is that a threat, Mr Scavo?”Les: “It’s a promise, Sweetness.”Me: “Hmm. Well, I’m going to catch a nap. We’ll see how good you are with your word.”Les: "Be sure to sleep with one eye open, Beauty. IRISThe sky was a clear blue and I watched as trees and cars passed us by while a country song played on the radio. Les was driving us back to our hometown specifically to my father's place while Hilda hitched a ride with James.A small smile bloomed on my face as I remembered her disgusted look when she realized she would be riding with James. I had never seen her affected by a man before. She was always so nonchalant when it came to men matters and sometimes even downright amused. Seeing her upset over James was a first for me since the last time she was ever this bothered was when she fell for a guy in high school but he didn't return the favor. Could it be that she likes James?“James and I will be going to Boondock city after I drop you off at your Dad's.” Les said and I immediately turned to him in alarm. “Wait what?” I queried. “Why?!”“We have to bury my Aunt.”A pang of guilt hit me as I remembered how Massimo had shot her in cold blood right in front of me. “But your Unc

IRISAll feelings of amusement left me as things turned serious. I readjusted in my seat and crossed my legs. “Okay. Let's talk.”Les rose to his feet and offered me his hand. “First of all, I want to show you something.” Curious, I slipped my hand in his and let him take me upstairs. We went past a couple of rooms before we stopped at one and he unlocked it. Once he opened it, he stepped aside for me to go in first. Throwing a curious glance at him, I pushed the door further, went in and my mouth dropped open. One wall was painted with the drawing of an ocean and a red headed mermaid sitting on a rock in the midst of it. Then another wall had mickey mouse characters drawn on them and another had Tom and Jerry smiling at each other. In the midst of the room was a baby crib and I froze in my steps when I saw it. I turned around to find Les watching me intently with his hands shoved in his pockets. He shifted his weight on his feet - a sign I realize indicated his nervousness.“Do y

LESThe fluorescent lights flickered overhead as we sat in the waiting room of the hospital, the scent of antiseptic hanging heavy in the air. Iris fidgeted nervously beside me, her fingers twisting around each other as she glanced around at the sterile walls."You okay, Bunny?" I asked, reaching out to squeeze her hand. She offered me a weak smile. "Yeah, just a little anxious about the scan."I nodded, understanding her apprehension. The thought of seeing our baby for the first time was enough to make anyone jittery. But I was also excited, eager to catch a glimpse of the life growing inside Iris. After what felt like an eternity, the nurse called us in, and we followed her down the hallway to the ultrasound room. Iris settled onto the examination table, her eyes fixed on the monitor as the nurse squirted gel onto her belly. And then, there it was. A tiny flicker on the screen, like a beacon of hope in the darkness. Our baby's heartbeat.Iris let out a shaky breath, her eyes shimmer

IRIS:In a matter of minutes the entire living room was destroyed. I stood still in the carnage as shattered glass covered the ground and furniture became upturned. Les yelled every obscene word known to man. He went on to punch walls till his knuckles cracked and his blood ran red down the walls. Rick ran in with the other security men, confused but with their weapons drawn.“GET OUT!!” Les yelled at them. The men hesitated, especially Rick who looked my way and seemed like he didn't want to leave me with him. “Come Ma'am. Let's go.” He said as he approached me with his hand stretched forward. I had no idea I was vibrating where I stood until I raised my hand and found it shaking violently. The next thing I hear is the click of a gun. I froze just about to touch Rick and turned. Les had a gun pointed at Rick and his eyes were filled with utter madness. “Touch her and you die!” I turned to see Rick with his hands up, retreating backwards. “Sorry ma'am.” He said apologetically befo

LES My baby resumes work today and I am not happy about it. I wish she was the kind of woman who was content being a housewife that loves to cook and wait for her husband to come home. Wait a fucking minute. Why am I looking at Iris through the lens of marriage?I wasn't a big believer in it especially since my father was shitty to my mom and didn't keep his vows. I feel the whole idea of marriage is pretty useless. I am already loyal to Iris and will never look at any other woman. She's mine. Forever. So why do I need to put a ring on it?I continued to wonder about that as I leaned against the doorframe of my closet and watched my Bunny wear a Wonder Woman panty and matching bra color. She turned slightly and my gaze fell on her tummy which was now the size of a small watermelon. I felt something but I couldn’t process what it was. To think that in six months time, this woman whom I am totally obsessed with will give birth to mini mes and mini Iris. I wonder what the babies wi

LESI was in the throes of my own anger, but the moment I noticed the departure of my brother, my rage softened. One glance at Iris and she nodded at me to go after him, which I did. Entering the elevator, I pulled out my phone and accessed all the cameras to pinpoint my brother's location. It didn't take long to find him scurrying down the stairs to the ground floor. My brother has always been one to maintain composure in all things but now, from my point of view, he was an agitated mess. Pressing the button for the ground floo, I sighed and let the elevator begin its descent to the living room. Sometimes I wonder what my life would have been like, if I had grown up with a good, normal father. Maybe I'd be some corporate guy living in a cute condo, married with one or two kids instead of having an irrational fear of intimacy and⁸8⁸⁸fatherhood. Maybe, I'd be a normal guy. But I'm not. Instead I'm messed up in the head, struggling with a trauma I wouldn't wish on anyone. Thank Go

LES“I see you've lost all your senses posting that girl online.”I rolled my eyes at my brother who was cleaning his pistol while holding a video call with me. The sun had just gone down over the horizon, casting my office in semi darkness while the landscape of New York city came alive with colorful night lights. “I guess you can call me ‘crazy’. Crazy about her.” I smiled as I shoveled some Chinese noodles into my mouth with chopsticks.“What you will be, is sorry if you don't stop.”I stopped chewing and glared at him. My brother didn't look at me. Instead, he continued to clean his weapon as if he didn't just say something disturbing. “Why would you say that?”“Because you're being a fool right now. Posting her for the world to see, especially for our Uncle to see, is like looking into the eye of a python and spitting in its face.”James was right. I was usually a very calculated mind but lately, I have been getting carried away by my affection for Iris and may have unintentio

Chapter 56:IRISOver the next couple of days, I continued to send out applications and even tried writing some pieces but I realized I was experiencing a block. When I couldn't make headway, I sat down in front of a TV and watched some cartoons. It was my coping mechanism back at Massimo's house and it's starting to be my coping mechanism now. Cartoons weren't always at Les' place either. I was surprised when one day I received a delivery signed to me and when I opened it, I discovered Les had bought all variations of cartoons for me to watch. Along with some T-shirts with cartoon characters on them. Les continued to leave pleasant surprises for me while I carried my one unpleasant surprise inside my body and whenever talk about Taylor came up, he refused to talk about it and everyday I became more and more depressed. If I wasn't writing, I was also video calling my Dad or Hilda. Now that I had a working phone, I was able to access my old social media profiles. I came across a lo

IRIS“Can we still go about our day while we ruminate on this?” Les asked and I considered his request reasonable. “Sure.”I changed into one of the dresses he got me, and then we went downstairs to have brunch. All through, we ate in silence, and I hated it. I hated that I spoiled the mood between us and made it awkward with the topic of a child. After our brunch, Les took me on a tour of his mansion, and I was able to learn a few more things about him. Les was an artist who painted in his pastime, and I wondered how he was able to do that and still be an underground fighter during his teen years. I saw all the championship belts he had won and heard all the stories behind them. Then he showed me his car collections, the grounds which had a stable and two horses. By the time we were done that day, it was late evening, and we weren’t able to go shopping any more, but I didn’t mind. Getting to see a new side of him was refreshing. I got to learn that Les The Beast wasn’t really his
