VIOLET IN LEBANON

Far from where Elissa and Edgar were now, Desmond and his wife were sitting together on the beach. Together, they drank young coconut ice while looking at the sunset. Both of them looked peaceful, especially after learning that Elissa had caught up with Edgar.

"Honey, do you think Elissa can really like her husband?" asked Desmond. Seeing Elissa's behavior lately, it was hard to guess what was going on.

Ira lowered her sunglasses. She put them on the table and bent her hands together. "Don't worry," she said.

Desmond exhaled. There was a look of anxiety on his wrinkled face. Ira, who saw it, chuckled. She reached out and touched her husband's chin, making Desmond's face look up.

"You said yourself that Elissa will be fine."

Desmond nodded. He tried to smile.

"Never mind. Where is my husband's sweet, smiling face?" Ira pinched Desmond's cheek and made him show his dimples.
