POWERFUL KISS

"Can I go?" said Edgar. A smile blossomed on his face. A very peaceful smile.

"Where?" asked Elissa.

"To a place where people truly love me," Edgar replied.

Edgar began to walk. Elissa was about to intervene. She wanted to grab her husband's hand but failed.

"Honey! Wait!" she shouted.

Edgar looked back. "Now you can live as you wish, Lissa. Life is too hard to force love. I will go to where my parents are. They must have waited too long for me there. And I think there is only love for me there," Edgar said. He widened his smile once more and then took another step.

"No! Honey, don't go! Honey, I love you!"

But she was too late. Before Edgar could hear Elissa's words, he was already far away, climbing the stairs that led to the sky. There, Elissa could see two silhouettes of a man and a woman. They waved, and then, as soon as Edgar got there, they embraced.
