FALLING FROM THE TREE

Elissa opened the window of her room. She was pretty disturbed by the noise coming from outside. She wanted to find out who was laughing this early in the morning.

"Throw that one, Gar! That's big!" commanded Desmond.

Elissa was even more curious. She, who had looked up from the shutters, could see her father under the mango tree.

Elissa's forehead wrinkled. She heard her father calling Edgar's name. But she did not see any other figure besides her father below. She looked toward the tree. And how surprised she was to see Edgar up in the tree.

"Morning!" greeted Edgar when he saw Elissa.

"What are you doing up there? You'll fall!" Elissa warned.

Edgar just smiled. One hand picked up a mango. "Catch it!" he said, throwing a mango into Elissa's room. Elissa was surprised, but she quickly caught the mango that Edgar had thrown.

"You climbed up just to get this?" asked Elissa.

"It's called climbing a mango tree, so I got a mango. There's no way I'll climb a mango tree and get gold," Edgar
