Chapter 6

I tumbled forward but braced myself by the back of the chair. Unable to do anything else, I allowed myself to follow him.

I straddled him. I came down hard, my hand settling on his shoulder and almost falling on him.

The man had the cheekiest smile on his face.

I raised my brow. “Are you sure you don’t do this more often?” I teased as my hands played with the collar of his shirt. His hands were on my thighs and moving in the direction of my ass.

“Being with a woman is like riding a bike, Rose.” The way he said it made my stomach clench. “It’s really not something you forget how to do.”

“I’m sure,” I challenged. I didn’t know if I should believe him or not. “I love how you took the example of riding a bike. Why not swimming?” I asked.

He blinked. “Well, it’s either riding rough and hard or wading through the wetness. It’s all the same to me.
