As we walked through the lobby of the CEO’s hotel, I pulled out my phone and pretended that I was texting. This was all about appearances and I needed to give the appearance that I was here to do something other than have sex with Kai Rivera.
I needed to avoid eye contact with as many people as possible. I also needed to do something about my shaking hands.
We were granted entrance to the foyer of the Presidential Suite, passing what I assumed were government agents to protect Kai. At the door to the inner suite, I was given a once over with a security wand and a brief pat down to ensure I wasn’t carrying anything explosive.
I didn’t need to bring anything with me. I was the explosive.
Eric asked me if he could take off my coat, but I politely declined.
Before I knew it, Eric had knocked twice on the inner door. And then I heard his voice.
“Come in.”
Now, I should probably explain a bit about myself. I know that you probably think I am a dirty woman. In reality, I am just a regular girl. Well, I am a full-grown woman. I have never done this before. I had considered myself a saint until recently.
I was actually an author. I wrote dystopian fiction and romances, generally but I couldn’t be called a wildly successful author. My books didn’t have movies made on them and I had enough money to live a comfortable life. But I was at a point in my career where my editor felt, I should be aspiring to more. The couples need to be sexier and the writing easy to sell to millions.
Aria Green was my best friend. We met in college and Aria was a matchmaker. Or so she would like to think. At college, she always had an incredible network of friends. She just knew everyone and liked to set them up with each other. One thing led to another, and eventually, she started taking kickbacks from some of the guys. I think it started as a joke, really.
Her business snowballed from there. Over the years, it evolved. She discovered that if she was to make real money, it needed to become incredibly exclusive. So, she managed to dump the frat guys and gave the impression that she was retiring from business. Actually, she started up a very new private business in the high end of the market. Her clientele consisted of very well-paid businessmen and politicians, many of them overseas.
I knew all about it but I never participated. I wasn’t interested in sex with people. I had my urges, but I never really thought about it. But with the current predicament, I took her advice.
The decisions were made and the rest, as they say, was history.
I snapped out of my train of thought. I needed to take deep breaths.
Kai River was seated casually on a lounge across the room. His feet were propped up on a coffee table, crossed. Suit pants on, no tie, shirt sleeves rolled up. He leaned forward, placing his glass of what looked like whiskey on the table before he rose.
Eric led me into the room to make the introductions.
“Kai, Rosalind. Rosalind this is Kai. I mean… Mr. Rivera,” he corrected.
Kai was taller than I had pictured. I knew he was six-foot-four-inches, but to see him in reality was just a different experience. His unruly hair probably added to his height.
I wasn’t sure how comfortable Kai was with the situation, so I took over. I had to channel my inner author and tap into the character I was playing.
“Mr. Rivera, it is a pleasure to meet you,” I said with my hand outstretched. I put on a warm smile on my face, trying to diffuse any awkwardness between him and I. Eric, though, was another story.
“Rosalind,” he replied, hand reaching out to take mine. His grip was firm and warm, and as he smiled at me. I think I swooned.
Knowing Eric was nervous about the whole thing, I turned to him. “Thank you, Eric. I think Mr. Rivera and I can probably take this from here.” I turned back to Kai with a shy smile. The man was not stupid. I could see that he knew why I was there.
Eric, who seemed to be holding in a breath, let out a sigh of relief. Then, he turned and left. Kai and I stood awkwardly until we heard the door close behind Eric.
“Miss… Rosalind,” he hesitated. Not knowing my last name was surely hard. That was part of the deal, though. Anonymity was the name of my game. It didn’t matter who I was, to begin with. Not even my readers knew who I really was. “Can I offer you a drink?”
“Please,” I replied. I glanced over towards the bar and saw that it was fully stocked. “I’ll have whatever you offer me,” I said confidently.
I placed my bag on a chair at the dining room table. It was within reach, but out of sight.
Kai readied my drink for me. I watched as his hand gripped the top of a soda bottle, the muscles in his arms twitching as he twisted the lid off. After pouring my drink, he turned to me, his hand outstretched, offering me the glass.
“Thank you, Mr. Rivera.” Our fingers touched briefly as I took the drink off his hand.
“Rose, if this is going where we both know it is going, we should drop the formalities, don’t you think?” His tone was a little playful. There was no hint of nervousness and his blue eyes were piercing as he waited for my response.
“In that case, call me Rose. We both know Rosalind is not my real name.” I raised my eyebrow to acknowledge the elephant in the room.
He smirked and raised his glass along with his eyebrow. “Well, Rose. Feel free to call me Kai… if you’d prefer.”
I had to smile. He had given me permission to call him Mr. Rivera… if the occasion should arise. It was still early in the night, but there was a lot left to do. This was not just walking into a room and riding the bull. It was about wooing and dancing with them until the mood was just right.“You’re not what I expected you to be,” I said softly. He looked at me curiously.“Oh? What did you expect?” he chose to humor me.“I didn’t expect you to have your foot up on the table,” I said pointedly. He blinked and then gave me a blinding smile.“Is that so? Why, do I look like an uptight man who doesn’t know how to let loose?” The way he asked the question made me think that he was testing me. Like he would show me just how he let loose. And I would welcome it any day.“Yes, I did think you are an uptight man. But now that you mention it, I’m not sure why!”
“I desire to hear the sound of your zipper as I unzip it,” I said as I took a step towards him. There was now barely any room between us. “And then, I want your pants to hit the floor. How does that sound to you, Mr. Rivera?”He sucked in a deep breath and then lifted the side of his mouth into the sexiest grin I had ever seen. And I knew he was on board. The man was something else. Kai Rivera was actually a widower. His wife died only a few years after they were married. They had met in high school and gone to the same university. Her dream was to go into politics and he wanted to move away from it. But somehow they worked perfectly for one another. It would seem like they were a match made in heaven. Now, I knew a lot about Kai as a man. I had watched footage of him before and after he had become a successful businessman. And some things became evident quickly. He was an affectionate man. Past tense. Kai has handsy. From t
I tumbled forward but braced myself by the back of the chair. Unable to do anything else, I allowed myself to follow him.I straddled him. I came down hard, my hand settling on his shoulder and almost falling on him.The man had the cheekiest smile on his face.I raised my brow. “Are you sure you don’t do this more often?” I teased as my hands played with the collar of his shirt. His hands were on my thighs and moving in the direction of my ass.“Being with a woman is like riding a bike, Rose.” The way he said it made my stomach clench. “It’s really not something you forget how to do.”“I’m sure,” I challenged. I didn’t know if I should believe him or not. “I love how you took the example of riding a bike. Why not swimming?” I asked. He blinked. “Well, it’s either riding rough and hard or wading through the wetness. It’s all the same to me.
[Warning: Mature Content up ahead.]I reached back to take it down myself, but he stopped me. He took my wrists and brought them to my lap gently. He cleared his throat before raising his hands and fumbling at the back of my head until he could remove the band and pin that held my hair back.As he pulled his hands away, I shook my hair out, trying my hardest not to look like a cringy shampoo commercial.I smiled at him before slowly rising to my feet. He continued to remain silent as I lowered myself to my knees, the plush carpet providing a comfortable resting place for my knees. No carpet burns for me!Kai took a deep breath before exhaling. I took hold of his belt, slowly undoing the button, trying to avoid grazing the tip of his hard length through his pants. It was inevitable though when I tugged his zipper down and he hissed at the sensation. I looked up and noticed his head was now resting on the back of the sofa, eyes closed.
Kai didn’t disappoint as I licked his member. The groan that escaped his mouth was sexy, to say the least. I took him slowly into my mouth, swirling my tongue around the tip before taking him as deep as I could twice, before releasing him. This needed to be slow and steady for the sake of my jaw. So, I moved lower. I licked his ball sack and listened on as he mumbled obscenities to himself. I sucked on one and then moved to the other and I was sure Kai was taking names of gods I hadn’t heard before. If that was any indication, this hadn’t been done to him before. The tutorial and practice on toys must have helped. And I was sure the next move was going to make him blow his mind. And hopefully not his load. With one hand massaging and the other at the base of his member, I lightly licked the perineum. The author in me searched for a word that didn’t sound so clinical, but I really didn’t know how to express these… complex and very passionate ac
Aria had taught me something. Natural breasts looked breast when upright. It didn’t matter if I was sitting or standing. Aria had also warned that this was especially true if you were over a certain age. Which I was. Apparently, it was time for my breasts to head down. Lying on my back would make them fall to the side. Facing down might make them look like deflated water balloons. Upright is when they were at their glory. Of course, she had reminded me, when you are thinking of having sex with a guy, you should definitely not be thinking about how they will look. Like I was doing right now. Otherwise, you would end up doing all the work sitting on top. Which I was seriously contemplating. Kai Rivera could only see me at my best. Anything short of that would keep me awake at night wondering what he thought. But, I reminded myself, if you want to make a very good first impression on a man you barely know, straddling is an excellent way to reveal your as
I felt the heat on the skin of my collarbone from the breath he released when he chuckled. And then I felt his tongue as he licked and nipped at my skin. Before I knew it, he had moved lower, giving my breasts a quick greeting before moving down to my stomach. I hoped he wasn’t just teasing me. No man could make it that far and not go all the way, right? I mean… why kiss my stomach if you aren’t going to go and play with my kitty, too, right? And then I felt relief. He was definitely going to the promise land. He pulled his head up when he got low enough and looked down at my lacy underwear. “They are nice but they are also in my way, don’t you think?” “Definitely. Perhaps you should remove them?” I suggested. “Perhaps,” he agreed, sitting up slightly. He twisted his finger around either side of the waistband and slowly dragged them down my legs. He paused briefly as I was completely revealed to him, biting down on his bottom lip as he had a b
He wasn’t going to kiss me. I wasn’t sure if I was relieved or not. His chest was warm and right now, pressed up against my breasts. My nipples were so hard and tingly that every sensation seemed multiplied. “Kai,” I breathed into his ear. “You’re driving me crazy. I want you. I want you inside me.” I couldn’t believe I was saying that to someone. Let alone him. I felt his breath on my ear before he whispered. “I want to be inside you so badly. Will you let me?” He shuddered. I couldn’t tell if he was nervous or excited. But he was polite. “Condom’s on the table.” My hand shook as I pointed so he could grab it for us. That was permission enough, right? It was a little awkward as he reached over, but this gave me the excellent opportunity to get a look at his ass. From what I could see, it was impressive so far. But this, by no means, the best angle. I would have to inspect the matter further to give an unbiased review. Kai was kneeling on his
KAI POV:I woke to the sound of vomiting— really loud vomiting. Eyes still closed, I reached over for my wife.My hand skimmed warm, soft sheets… before coming up empty.“Lilith?”More loud gagging erupted from the bathroom and it hit me that Lilith was, in all likelihood, the one in there puking."Shit," I muttered, raking a hand down my face. "Lilith!"I lunged out of bed and sprinted to the bathroom, where sure enough, I found my wife leaning over the toilet and expelling what seemed to be everything including her vital organs. Not knowing what else to do, I curled my hands around her shoulders, which rose and fell with each continuous heave. She stopped for about ten seconds, and I breathed a sigh of relief.Right before she started up again.“I am calling the doctor,” I admonished.Lilith grabbed my arm in a death grip, nails digging into my tendons."Wait," she man
The trees surrounding the dock were decked out in thousands of white, glowing lights that twinkled brightly and turned the night sky from pitch black to soft grey. The white tent set up on the small beach nearby was decorated with dozens of white and red flowers in large crystal vases.Outside, the winter wind blew cold but inside, the fireplace-shaped space heaters and the absolute happiness of the event kept all of us warm.Kai and I were anything but a traditional couple, and while I wished my mother could've been at my side today, I knew that she was watching from above, and so it was Kaiden and Dad who walked with me.My Kaiden looked like a prince in white in his suit. Dad wore a matching tuxedo. It was simple, yet on these two people whom I loved, it looked perfect. As for me… Well, the tent was set up beautifully, my dress was lovely, but it was the man waiting, whom I couldn't take my eyes off. He wore an immaculately fitting dark tux that
[WARNING: MORE SNU SNU UP AHEAD. For a second, I was a bit disoriented, frowning at the bright, orange circle as it makes its ascent into the sky.The clock on the nightstand indicated that it was six a.m. I lay there for about ten minutes, watching each digit move up slowly, forcing my heart rate to remain steady, my shoulders to rise and fall in measured rhythm. He was sleeping, holding me spooned into him while his lips grazed my hair and soft breaths tickled the nape of my neck. His hands clutched my waist tightly, even in his slumber. I could feel his morning hard-on pressed up against my ass, rocking rhythmically against me every few seconds.Slowly but surely, the night came back to her. It had been spent in a surreal state. We had drifted in and out of the periphery
[WARNING: SNU SNU UP AHEAD. SKIP IF YOU ARE SQUEAMISH ABOUT IT.]With the renovations complete, we moved into the condo soon after. The following three nights were a lesson in how to get your son to sleep in his own bed. After the first night, Kaiden managed to keep himself in his own bed - for most of the night. It wasn't until the early hours of the morning, Lilith informed me, that Kaiden tip-toed into her bedroom, snuggling in next to her.The following night, my mother helped Kaiden get ready for bed and told him stories until he fell asleep. It seemed to do the trick because Kaiden stayed in his bed the entire night. With just Lilith and I popping in to bid him goodbye, he seemed happy.Unfortunately, by the next night, he was back to sneaking into Lilith’s bedroom in the early hour. That week, the government’s case against my father continued to build, the current President’s popularity continued to plummet, and with every
That night, Lilith and I put Kaiden to bed and then half-closed the door before walking out. In the end, we were out in front of the pool, staring at the sky as I spoke about the project I was currently working on.It was rare to look at the stars without the interference from skyscrapers and street lamps. The sound of the pool filled the background.“And that one there is the Cassiopeia,” I informed Lilith, pointing out some of the constellations I remembered from when I was a kid and in the astronomy club. “See? You can recognize it… The one to the south of it is Andromeda, and the one to the east is Perseus. According to mythology, Cassiopeia bragged that her daughter Andromeda was more beautiful than the sea nymphs, so as punishment her daughter was to be sacrificed to a sea monster. But Perseus, the demigod saved her from that fate and then claimed her as his.”I felt Lilith’s eyes on me, so I turned to her.She l
KAI POV:When I was younger, my mom used to sing this song. It was a story about a beggar who fell in love with a princess but turned out to be a prince. She got so into it that it was fun.At times, my father would join in too, hard to ignore.“Do you understand the song?” He had asked me once.I had shrugged. “It’s about two people falling in love.”He smirked, laughing at me. “It is about more than that. It’s about a boy who grew up struggling and turned out to be a great man. He grew up and upheld his legacy and his responsibility to the people and his family.”I blinked in confusion. Mom was holding Eric in her lap as she chuckled. “Kevin, he is too small. Don’t turn everything into a lesson for him. Let him have fun!”Father mumbled something about teaching me when I was impressionable but mom scoffed. I didn’t heart the rest of their conversation, but I alm
We had a movie playing for a few hours and it was coming to an end when my phone started to ring. I glanced over at Kai and Kaiden and found them engrossed in the movie. I pulled away, angling away from Kai so that I could reach my pocket. As soon as I saw the Chief Editor’s name flash on the screen, my heart dropped to my feet. I felt slight panic even though I knew I had done nothing wrong. Still, as I answered, I glanced at Kai. He appeared to be still paying attention to the screen. But when I stood up, his eyes immediately moved to mine.“I will be right back,” I mouthed, quickly walking to the kitchen, feeling his eyes still on me.The Chief Editor and I shared some small talk before I heard the grin in his voice.“I just wanted to let you know how the sale of your book is going.”From what the news was reporting, the book had sold even more than the expected sales projected by the publishing house. In just the first da
Late one night, Kai and I sat side by side in the living room. Everyone else in the house was asleep. The television was on in the background with the news playing. "…for the past couple of weeks, the country has been reeling over the announcement that businessman Kai Rivera recently discovered the existence of his son. The child's mother is Lilith Hill, the best-selling author. Apparently, the two met while Mr. Rivera was on vacation, and they had a love affair that resulted in the child. Different versions have arisen as to how Ms. Hill broke the news to Mr. Rivera, but it is becoming increasingly clear that the businessman's own father, former President Kevin Rivera, was somehow involved in a cover-up that kept his son from knowing of his son. “In addition, the current Presidential Administration has been on the defensive for the past couple of weeks, after Kai Rivera’s lightly veiled accusations. It's been a tough few weeks for his team, with rumors of a culture
[Warning: Mild smutty content up ahead. Read at your own risk.]“Part of the security team told me and before you get upset, don’t worry. They don’t report your every move to me. I simply wondered and they responded.”His tone raised my hackles. This wasn’t the Kai I knew. This was the masked man people saw on the television.“So, what happened?” he repeated.“He wanted to meet me and ask if I wanted to publish the book I wrote shortly after leaving you.”He nodded. For the first time, I couldn’t read his expression and it was bothering me.“What do you think about that?” I asked after a couple of minutes of no response.“I don’t think it’s a smart business move. It would worsen the crap the tabloids are saying and your branding would be ruined.” Not that there was a semblance of it left in the first place.“It would make money
