“Has Sia’s condition improved?” Ellora asked, her voice heavy with concern as they sat together in the living room.

Abella shook her head gently. “No, she is still in a coma. There haven’t been any changes but at least her condition hasn’t gotten worse.”

Ellora frowned, leaning back in her chair. “Hmm. It has been a month now and there is not even the slightest improvement.”

“Grandma, let’s keep hope,” Abella said with a soft smile. “Everything will be okay. Mom and Dad are back today, and they managed to get Sia moved to a hospital in New York. She will finally be closer to us.”

Ellora sighed deeply. “Everyone has just been away for so long, staying there all this time.” Her eyes scanned the room, and she asked, “Where is Nash? I haven’t seen him all morning.”

“He has college interviews,” Abella explained.

Ellora clicked her tongue in disapproval. “We just got him back, and now he is planning to go far away again? If he listens to us, we can just enroll him in the same college as you.
