As Roseanne was anticipating Nicholas to kiss her, she was breathing heavily. His finger came to touch her face but before anything could happen, he wiped her nose and said, “You have moisturizer stuck to your nose.”

She felt like someone poured a bucket of cold water on her. She had an urge to be angry at him. But she had no reason to act like this. In the end, she just nodded and gave him a small smile.

She said, “I think we should go to sleep.”

He said, “What's the hurry?”

“You have to wake up early for work–” Roseanne tried to speak but he softly cut her off to say, “No, I don't. I think we should talk.”

Roseanne felt restless. Was he going to ask her about shifting to another room? What if he asked about it? How would she answer him? She had not been uneasy and awkward before him for five years. She didn't know what changed between them and that she had to act in such a way. This was frustrating her to no end.
