Chapter 37.

(Evy's Point Of View)

Five days had passed since that ordeal and I hadn't heard from nor seen Mrs. Evans nor had I seen Sebastian as he dismissed my calls and I had been too brisk to visit which I was planning on doing on the weekend.

I sighed at the workload on my desk while tapping the keys of my laptop continuously. It was stymieing.

I didn't know how long passed since I sat on that chair till the door of my office unlocked unannounced to reveal Diana, she shimmered and I rolled my eyes.

"It's lunchtime, Evy. Let's go out," she proposed.

"I can't Diana, I have so much work to do today and, I need to get it all done before Monday," I retorted with my gaze fixed on my laptop screen till it was slammed shut and nearly chopped off my nails. I looked up with a glare to find Diana leaning down on the table.

"I will help you with your work since I will be having nothing to do and the kids are going out with their dad. So, what do you say, deal?" She held her hand out for a handshake.
