Happy New Month, Everyone!🎉 Who do you think was shot? Why was Damien's life spared? Please, share your thoughts. 💜
“Daddy?” Addison walked down the stairs with a stuffed bunny in her hand. There was a pout on her face as she walked slowly to him and made him hold her.“How’s my baby doing?” He asked, touching her cheeks playfully but, her attention was fixed on the bandage that was wrapped around his head.“Is Daddy hurt?” She asked, touching the thick material on his head.“Daddy isn’t hurt, my love.” Harriet replied, not wanting her daughter to worry.“I should be on my way. Iris must be so worried,” Eric said, and Harriet nodded, making a mental note to pay Eric’s wife a visit. She hadn’t seen her since the wedding, and she also thought it would be nice to make a female friend. She wasn’t a social butterfly and with Tony gone, she had no one except Damien. She definitely needed more friends.“Extend my greetings to her.” She said and Eric replied with a nod before turning to look at his friend.“Be careful, Buddy.” He said and Damien rolled his eyes.“Get going already.” He whined, shooing him
“Welcome, mother.” Harriet hugged Stacy as soon as she opened the door. She arrived at the house exactly one hour after the phone call. If it wasn't for the regular New York traffic, she would have been there earlier.“Hello, my dear. Is everything alright with you guys?” Stacy had no intentions of beating around the bush. She knew that something was wrong, and she was determined to find out.Harriet gave no reply, but she led her to the living room where Damien was waiting. Immediately Stacy saw him, a scream left her lips and she rushed to him, holding his head as she accessed the bandage on his head.“What happened to you?” She asked while trying to fight off the tears that were already brimming in her eyes.“We uhh…we have something to tell you, mother.” Harriet said and sat directly opposite them, rubbing her arms nervously.“You should. It is very obvious that something is wrong,” Stacy wiped her tears and turned to Harriet. “Who did this to my son?” She balled her fist in anger,
“Damien! I got a text from Adrian.” Stacy said, pacing around the kitchen. When she got the text from Adrian, she wanted to call him, but after giving it some thought, she decided to call Damien. Thankfully, he had gotten a new phone and retrieved his old number.“What did it say? You know what? Just forward the text to me.” Damien said and Stacy immediately did as she was told.“I’ll call you back, mum.” He said and hung up. As he opened the text, a smirk appeared on his lips.'Hey, mum. I’ll be out of the country for a few days. Don’t let Damien or anyone know about this and don’t look for me.' Damien didn’t want to believe that Adrian sent that message because he had just made things easier for him. One thing was certain now. He wasn’t out of the country. The fact that he told his mother about this meant that he was either passing a message to Damien through him or he wasn’t the one who sent the message. No matter how close Adrian was to his mother, he never informed her of his tr
After the call, Harriet finished up with her work and closed early. She was going to start with the preparations for the birthday party but first, she was going to speak to her father. She thought she would get the chance to speak to him before he went home, but her work took up most of her time and by the time she went there, he was already gone. She was getting uncomfortable with Alexa, and she knew that if nothing is done about it, she would cause real problems for her.“I think I’ll be fine in my own car. You can let me be now.” She told the bodyguards, but they paid no attention to her. “We have direct orders from Mr. Damien Daniels to be with you at all times. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we cannot leave.” One said and opened the door for her to go in.“How did you even get my keys? You know what? Forget it.” She shook her head and entered the car, accepting her fate. She had not been home in a week as she had been spending time with Damien and her children. After
As Harriet walked through the doors, Damien felt his heart flutter. It did every time he saw her. It marveled him how he was able to live with her for three whole years and not fall in love with her.He must’ve been bewitched.“You look tired.” He walked up to her and pressed a kiss to her lips, making Addison and Aiden twist their faces.“Stop kissing my mummy!” Aiden yelled, jumping from the chair to welcome his mother. “Kiss me too, mummy.” He pouted his lips and Harriet laughed before placing a kiss on his lips. Knowing that Addison would want hers, she gave her a kiss too.Damien, who was thinking of letting Harriet handle the twins once she returned, changed his mind. He wasn’t even sure she could take care of herself with how famished she looked.“I’ll run you a bubble bath to calm you down, okay? Stay there for a bit while I prepare dinner.” He said and helped her out of her shoes. When Harriet left, he turned to the twins. “Now, mummy is exhausted, so, I’ll need you both to c
Damien didn’t return home after leaving the penthouse. He went to his office instead, as he had been away for too long. But, when he got there, he couldn’t focus on anything. His mind kept drifting to the incident that happened at the penthouse and how someone was still siding with Adrian after everything he had done. A thought kept coming to Damien, but he continuously waved it off as he didn’t want to believe that it could happen.A part of him knew that there was a big chance that the snitch was his mother, but he didn’t want to come to any conclusions yet. He was going to give her the benefit of the doubt. Four hours passed and Damien was still unable to focus on his work. Instead, he kept mixing up numbers and documents. So, he decided to go home. But, as he was about to leave, he got a call from Harriet.“Hey… uhm. I just closed from work and Stacy picked up the kids from school, so I’ll be heading there. I might stay for a while. She wants to help with the preparation for the
Harriet brought the kids and joined Damien, who was waiting for her. She couldn’t believe that Stacy would be so biased. She loved her as a mother, but after seeing her side with Adrian, even after everything he had done, it made her question her relationship with both her and the kids. The last thing Harriet wanted was for Stacy to teach her children to defend criminals. She was sure of one thing. She didn’t want her children anywhere close to her. She could trust her anymore, and she could wake up one day and let Adrian back into the house while her children were there.“I’m sorry, mother, but this will be the last time you see our kids until Adrian is caught.” Damien said, as though he read Harriet’s mind. Stacy stared at him with wide eyes, obviously not happy with his decision.“You cannot stop me from being with my grandchildren! It’s their birthday this week! I have to be there!” She said in a shaky voice.Stacy might have been blind to Adrian’s actions but, she loved her grand
Since Stacy got the message from the unknown number late in the night, Thomas could not do anything but wait until it was morning before letting Damien know about it and also taking matters into his own hands. He and Stacy spent the night in each other’s arms as he kept trying to calm her down. Her temperature had gone up, and she was sweating profusely. The news had shocked her so much but all she could do was pray that her son survived.“What do you think happened to him? He was fine the last time we spoke.” She asked her husband, who also had no idea how their son was suddenly in a hospital bed.“It doesn’t look like he was involved in an accident. I’m guessing he got shot.” Thomas said, looking at the picture that was sent to Stacy.“But, who would do that to him?” Stacy asked in a shaky voice with her head laid on her husband’s chest.“I don’t know, my love. You should get some rest.” He said, dismissing the topic.Thomas wasn’t stupid. He knew that something had transpired betw
