Uh ohhh!! Has Lily digged her own grave?
“The gang Louis belongs to is SNAKERS and I know who the gang leader is,” Lily revealed, biting her lips nervously. Her heart was racing and her hands were shaking. She never thought that she would let the secret out so soon. Saying it now, she realized that she might have dug her own grave.Tony looked like he had seen a ghost. He knew Louis was a dangerous man but hearing what gang he belonged to made him wonder how Lily had coped with such a man for five years.Only a person who had been living under a rock wouldn’t know who the SNAKERS were. Their unknown boss controlled half of Paris and even though they were known for their illegal deeds, no policeman or detective was brave enough to go after them.“What the fuck, Lily?” Tony sighed and shut his eyes out of frustration. “Why did you have to meet a man like that? I can't imagine what you must have had to endure. Keeping a secret like that must have been hard.” Tony sympathized with her, caressing her face with his palm.“Does he
Lily spent the rest of the day thinking of a way to meet with Louis. Even though she sounded confident while talking with Tony, the truth was that she was scared deep down. Even after living with him for three years, she was still terrified of him. When she left Louis, knocked out on the ground a few meters away from the hospital, she was convinced she would have no reason to return to him. But, here she was, looking for a way to speak to him without getting killed or kidnapped. She would be incredibly lucky if Louis didn’t harm her when she met with him. With shaky hands, Lily pulled out her hold phone from the drawer and switched it on. She held her breath as the phone came back to life after days of no usage. As expected, the phone dinged repeatedly as soon as it came alive. There were countless texts and missed calls from Louis. He had been sending a new text every day since she left, followed by calls. Lily couldn’t believe that he was the only person who still called or even
When they arrived at ‘The Fred’s’ it was already 6:02 pm. Tony turned off the car engine and turned to Lily only to see her hands shaking and her face pale like she had just seen a ghost.“Lily?” He called out but her mind was far gone. “Lily!” He called out again, loudly this time, and also tapped her. Thankfully, she jerked back into consciousness, blinking her eyes severally.“Y..yes?” She stammered with fear written all over her face. Tony understood that she was worried and nervous about meeting Louis so, he grabbed her hand slowly and pulled her in for a hug.“I’ll be watching every second of your conversation, Lily. You have nothing to worry about.” He assured and Lily nodded slowly. “All you need to do is swap his phone with yours since you said they are both similar, then, you’d use the restroom and install the app into his phone. I’ll take it from there, okay?” He explained and Lily nodded again.“I got it. Thank you.” She whispered as she pulled out of the hug. “I’ll go in
As Lily stepped out of the restaurant, her body shook with fear, and her mind was disturbed. She knew Louis well enough so, she was certain he wasn’t a bluffer.‘Would he harm Tony?’ She thought as she took slow strides out of the building. Lily knew it would kill her if anything were to happen to Tony because of her.Lily was still deep in thought when she felt her body crash into a wall….a person, rather.“I’m so sorry.” Lily apologized without raising her head and was about to leave but was pulled back by this person. Wondering who it was, Lily lifted her head only to be met with Tony staring at her.“Are you okay?” Tony asked with a worried expression. “You’re going in the wrong direction. The car is this way.” He pointed in the opposite direction and Lily looked around, finally realizing that she had been walking to the wrong street when the car was the other way.“Oh…” She blinked and bit her lips nervously.“What happened in there, Lily? What did he say to make you this way?” T
Harriet’s mind raced with possibilities as she sat in front of her doctor, waiting to hear the results of her pregnancy test, which she had just taken. “Mrs Daniels. I am happy to inform you that you are three weeks pregnant.” The doctor said with a bright smile, and Harriet let out a breath she didn’t know she was holding. “Oh!” She breathed out, her heart racing with joy and excitement. With a marriage like her and Damien’s, the last thing she could wish for was a child, but God had other plans for her. “T-thank you, doctor. Thank you so much.” She cried as she placed her hand on her chest, unable to contain her happiness. She could not wait to tell her husband, Damien, this great news. As Harriet hurried to leave the hospital, all she could think about was how this child in her womb would be a turning point for her and Damien’s failing marriage. As much as she hated to admit it, it was true. In their three years of marriage, Harriet has never felt the joy of marriage.
“This isn’t possible!” She yelled. It was a picture of her and Adrian lying naked in each other’s arms on a bed. From the picture angle, it looked like they were being intimate. Adrian towered above her, and the lady underneath him resembled her. She had never slept in the same room as Adrian, so how was this possible? Someone set her up! With a frown, Harriett defended herself. “This isn’t true. It can’t be!” Damien didn’t want to hear any explanation from her. He felt betrayed, and the only thing he wanted was for her to leave his life. “The picture is pretty clear, Harriett. Don’t you think you should give up? You must’ve thought you could keep it a secret forever. Why didn’t you marry Adrian if you loved him so much? Instead, you’d rather go behind me and sleep with him.” Damien shot back, his voice not faltering. “I don’t love Adrian. I never have. Why would I agree to marry you if I was in love with your brother?” Harriett asked in a whisper, hot tears slipping out of her
Later that night, Harriet tossed and turned on her lonely bed. It was already 1am but, she couldn’t get herself to sleep no matter how hard she tried. Whenever she closed her eyes, all she could hear was Damien accusing her of cheating with none other than Adrian and also asking for a divorce. Her eyes were red and swollen from crying throughout the whole day. She needed comfort from someone because her heart felt like it would explode but, her husband wasn’t home. After leaving in the afternoon, he never returned home and Harriet knew that he was spending the night at Evelyn’s place. She wasn’t surprised. This was a regular occurrence. The next morning as Harriet sat at the breakfast table…alone as always, a strange thought came to her, one that gave her a tiny last hope. She wanted to fight for her marriage for the last time. She thought that he must be too angry to process everything and she wanted to explain with a last-ditch effort to try and save their marriage. She nee
Damien sat in the private room of an expensive club together with his best buddy, Eric. He had been staying at a hotel since he left the house as he didn’t want to see the face of his cheating wife. His grey-colored eyes narrowed at his drink as he clenched his jaws before gulping the entire glass of whiskey. His eyes lingered on the empty glass before he finally opened his mouth. “Harriett cheated…with Adrian. I’m getting a divorce.” There was an eerie silence, and Damien had to raise his head to look at his friend just to be sure he heard him. Eric had a blank expression on his face that made Damien wonder if he knew about it. “Wait. You’re being serious?” Eric asked when he saw that Damien wasn’t joking. A chuckle escaped his lips, and he sipped from his glass. “Did you catch them in the act?” Eric asked, placing the glass at the tip of his lips, and Damien shook his head. “No. Someone caught them and sent the picture to me.” Damien said through gritted teeth, but Eric sta
