A strange encounter

“Finalize the deal with the second company on the list. They are a better choice.” Damien said, walking out of the plane with two bodyguards and his secretary behind. He had just returned from Hong Kong from a business trip and was now heading to his house.

The eye bags around his eyes were covered with a dark shade, giving him an icy look instead of a gloomy one.

Damien’s steps were interrupted as he stumbled into something….someone rather.

It was a child.

The child looked no older than five years, and he looked lost. The little boy looked at him, and Damien felt his chest tighten. The little boy had gray eyes and reminded him of himself when he was younger.

He quickly shook the strange thought and stopped his bodyguards from shooing the child away.

“What’s your name, cutie?” He asked with a smile, and the boy looked around, his mouth quivering like he would cry at any moment.
