James’ POV

As if planned, we sat roughly on the armchair, breathing heavily.

“Stop breathing like I do, it's not like you went through the hell that I did.” She scoffed, rolling her eyes sarcastically and I smirked.

“Hello? I also suffered a similar thing in the morning. Besides, my meeting venue kept on changing until I shunned them and returned home.” I explained to her rashly and I sighed.

This was the umpteenth time she was exhaling.

“Please when is Ashley leaving?” She asked after a brief pause.

“I seriously have no idea.” I shook my head.

It was obvious that she was as tired as I was towards tending to their children's wellbeing.

“But…” she adjusted on the armchair and faced me.

“Don't you think she is influencing Kelvin?” She asked, raising an anxious brow.

“You think so too?” I curled my lips in astonishment.

Would we ever be good parents to our child? Like, why were we complaining when this was the right thing to do.

Well, it's not our fault. It was unpredictable.

They wouldn't let anyone apply for the house maid position.” He complained.“We are doomed.” I sighed.“I can't let this continue happening.” He handed the carrot over to me and I began chopping it on the board.“When is Kelvin going back to school?”“When is your friend coming to pick up his child?”We asked almost at the same

James' POVWe arrived at the vacation house, very far away from the bustling area. The environment was filled with green grass, vast sea and nice humidity.“So, this is where we would have missed.” Ashley peaked through the window and grinned. Kelvin nodded his head in adjournment since he was focused on the console game he was playing.I curbed the car at the parking unit and we stepped down. The cool breeze flushed on our faces, it was so different from the breeze in the city. Maybe because the place looked green and reserved. It was a good location for a vacation house. No car horns, no loud chatters or whatnot.I scanned the environment as the children giggled and jumped in excitement, from afar, people would assume they were the sweetest humans. The ocean sit-out was somewhat isolated with few people, the sea had fewer people and another batch of people strolling around.Unlike how it was overhyped online, I didn't expect to see such a population. Rather, I was expecting a crowd.

Leena's POV“Kelvin! Ashley!” I called out to them in desperation as I rushed into the water. The waves were pushing me back and it was hard to reach out to them. Ashley and Kelvin's little voice was screaming for help, their hands were in the air as the water swallowed them and brought them out. They were drowning and if I didn't get to them faster, they might lose consciousness and drown completely.“Leena, can you swim?” He grabbed my hand, his eyes filled with concern and fear.“I can. I can as long as I will save them.” I said with certainty. For some reason, he stayed away from the water like one who had phobia. I also didn't urge him to join me.“Please, be careful.” He said seriously, urging me with his eyes.“I will.” I said with a warm smile.I looked at the wave and the way the water was, it was obvious that I wouldn't be able to fight with the wave. There was only one way.A last look at helpless-looking James, I dived into the sea and swam seriously to reach for them. The

Because of your busy schedule, we will have cereal.” Kelvin said and Ashley nodded in adjournment.“I thought you said cereals aren't good for breakfast?” Leena curled her lips, obviously teasing them as she strolled in.“Not anymore. Cereals are good for kids.” Ashley said while nodding her head.“Fine then.” She sighed.“I heard our final year result is out. I have to go and check for mine and also find out the date for our convocation.” She informed us calmly.“Congratulations auntie!” The children said cheerfully.“But, I thought you can check your results from home.” I asked her cryptically.“Online right? Well, the dean found out that some people bribe the CBT men and also hack the online site. So, it had been banned for the meantime. We have to manually check our results from now on.” She expla

F!” I heard a gasp from one of my course mates as I got closer to our result board.“Look who we have here. The billionaire's wife.” Lily rolled her eyes to me and everyone stopped checking their results and faced me.She always loves creating scenes.“Do you really have to come check your result as ordinary people like us do? I mean, your husband has all the right to bribe the school board in giving you a pass.” One of my course mates said curtly as she shrugged.“Too bad, my education life has nothing to do with my husband's wealth.” I said slyly as my brows fluttered, I also crossed my arms.Since t

Wait for us.” Ashley and Kelvin ran after me as we walked to the garage in the city children's park.“Boss, did you…” Harry approached me, looking anxious and I stopped him with my hand in the air.“Yes, I saw it.” I said.“Send the kids to the mansion, I will be heading to the family house.” I instructed him seriously.“Boss, will you be fine alone?” Harry asked, looking worried.“Yes. I will be fine.” I assured him with a warm smile.“Alright kids.” I bent down, staring at their anxious eyes.“By now, your auntie is back home so you won't be lonely anymore.” I began and they listened to me without bombarding me with questions.“When you get home, be quiet and don't do anything to annoy your auntie, alright?” I asked them calmly and they nodded their heads.“Yes uncle.” They said in unison.“There is an emergency I have to attend to, so your Uncle Harry will send you back home.” I informed them.“Uncle, will you get us something sweet on your way back home?”

Leena's POV“Both of you are getting me scared.” I shrugged, facing them as they stared at me with an expressionless facial expression.“Why do you say so, auntie?” Ashley asked calmly.I knew they had changed from their annoying attitude but their demeanor tonight was cold and somewhat unavoidable.“You left the house with my husband to have fun which means you must be hungry. Let me make something for you to eat.” I suggested warmly and they shook their heads.“Sister, we are not hungry.” They said in unison like children whom their parents had warned never to eat from a stranger.I swallowed hard, closing my eyes briefly.“Did something happen?” I asked cryptically, staring at them seriously. They exchanged knowing stares before facing me again.“We are like this because of what uncle said to us.” Ashley muttered sadly.“Why? I was afraid and scared, what happened to you?” She rambled with words, looking concerned and I smirked.“I think I'm fine. Though the doctor said I can't be out of bed for the meantime. My leg almost got crippled.” I explained rashly to her and she sniffled, nodding her head.“Hubby, I told you he will be fine. How did something like this happen to both of them?” Leena's father asked anxiously as anxiety lingered in his eyes. “That shouldn't be our problem now.” Sean's father cried out. “What do you mean?” Leena's mother stared at him intently. “Only Sean's body was found at the explosion scene.” He paused. “Leena…. Was he ignoring me? He ruined Sean. He ruined my family and gave us sleepless nights. Why was he so wicked? “How did we get here?” I cried out with all my veins showing through my neck as I collapsed to the ground. As my eyes closed, old memories rushed through like adrenaline. I couldn't control or help it as I cried profusely. Sharp Flashback - “You're here.” He walked confidently to my corner and handed me a bunch of roses. I smiled. “Wow, thank you.” I gushed. “Come with me.” I took his hand as he walked me up to the round table. My eyes met with the plate on the table, a small cupcake was in the center and the chef designed a love shape around it. At the sides of the shape, there was a short note. “Be Mine Forever.” I was taken aback, flustered, and shocked. “James…’’ I trailed of

James would and will never have any twins!” I said seriously. “But he showed us evidence and everything. He also had an alibi that made it hard for us to point him as the victim.” He rashly explained to me. “Am I blind or something? How come for so many years when I was married to him, I never heard of or seen his so-called twin brother? Why are you falling for these lies? I mean, you can even ask around to know if this is true!” I rambled with words in annoyance, firing several questions at them. “We are sorry, Mrs. Sean. We have to follow this case slowly.
