Janet screamed and I took a few steps back and hugged Ariel tightly to myself. I did not want my daughter to see her father being so hostile to someone else.

"Adam! Have you lost your mind? That's your father! How can you treat your father like this?" Janet cried out.

She went to her son and pulled him away from his father.

Adam looked like he wanted to kill Philip. I could not help but shudder in fear as I watched this.

I thought about what Jolie had told me. Was Adam really a violent person? Maybe he had been able to keep this side of him away from me and I never found out about it?

Thinking about it scared me even further. I didn't want Adam to be in Ariel's life if he was a violent man.
